Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa, Edinburgh - Edimburgo

When will they give this good location hotel a new face? How about 2 yrs ago. What are they waiting for. We go to Scotland often on weekends and next time we will stay someplace different.

This is the best place in town for both comfort & enjoyment. The hotel has never failed to provide me with the expected quality. The location and an ability to park & leave your car, as well as being able to walk to some favourite restuarants is just the job.

Before strating, I have to admit that i got such a great deal for the rooms I booked on hotels.com that I thought a mistake had been made and this is not a cheap hotel so expect to pay for the luxury elements! The great thing about this hotel is its location. Don;t be put off by first impressions because the cab from the airport took us into the complex by back streets and our initial impression was that we were miles from anywhere of interest. This was far from true. The hotl is very central and no more than a 15 minute walk fro anywhere a tourisat or Festival visitor would want to visit. Minor niggles: they never re-stocked the minibar and, as usual, breakfast prices were exorbitant! Otherewise very impressive.

Great hotel in a great location. Downside is that its quite expensive. Breakfast was £25 per person

The hotel was nice but not "grand." The room was clean and comfortable but the employees in the lounge and restaurant were not pleasant or easy to deal with. There were better hotels available and worse. So it was my choice. It wasn't bad, just not over the top as I would expect 5 stars to indicate.

Overall this hotel was quite good. However, compared with other Sheraton hotels that I have stayed in, this hotel was not quite as impressive. Nonetheless, I would still recommend this hotel to others. It is especially convenient for tourists traveling to downtown Edinburgh & the Castle. FYI… the hotel concierge was excellent!! He was extremely helpful and made our travels throughout the city much easier. I would highly recommend to other tourists to touch base with the concierge as soon as you arrive.

check in was swift and receptionist was extremely polite. room clean and tidy. spa is amazing as you would want it to be. although expensive, no regrets and will be back.

The hotel is very well located, the room had a good size and very comfortable. The staff friendly. The very low point for me was that I travel with my dad who is older and I called the day before for an early check in, as it was short notice the just ask to come in and check availabilty. At the time of check in the took my contact number but they never called. I went at the "official" time and thay thought they called me and on top of this we have to wait 45 minutes for the lugagge to get it to the room- after calling twice as my father had medicaments to take.

I booked 2 rooms at the Sheraton as part of a celbration of my father in laws 70th birthday. The hotel lobby and room were fine, however the bathroom in our room was clean but not even close to the plush standard I expect from a 4 or 5 star hotel - closer to a clean public toilet. Other than that we had a good weekend. It's a good location and we enjoyed the spa on the roof of the hotel

staff are great.hotel in general very nice if a little soulless.rooms need updating and are not really 5 star standard. better hotels in edinburgh for less money

friendly, clean. would recommend 2nts stay as we never had time to explore the bar, restaruants or spa cilities. handy for bars and restarunts outside hotel and princess street shopping.

My husband and I went to the Sheraton to celebrate our anniversay and had a wonderful time enjoying the spa facilities and rounded up the night with dinner at the Witchery - wonderful.

Blast from the past style of hotel in terms of furnishings and room facilities eg shower over bath and CRT TV. Spa facilities superb-I'd recommend this experience to anyone.

The staff at the hotel was extremely helpful and accommodating after our long flight from NYC and made wonderful dining suggestions in Edinburgh. The pool and spa area were top of the line as was the gym. I was very impressed. The king sized bed was very plush. One improvement I would suggest is a pull out couch in our room and not just a small sofa. Our room faced Edinburgh Castle which was beautiful, but the noise from the street was loud when the window was open.

This was a very nice hotel. It was in a great location and was very clean, service was great, everything you would expect for a Sheraton Hotel. However, the restaurants were not so great, they were very pricey and we found other solutions in the city much better. It would have been much better if there had been more choices in the hotel, since it was raining a lot in Edinburgh and it was very difficult to go back out in the rain for additional choices of food.

Great staff - very helpful and friendly. Rooms a bit small by U.S. 5* standards - but very clean and comfortable. Easy walking distance to great shopping, parks and the castle. Health club was also very well run. The family loved the place - and the pool had free swim for kids from 3-5.

Ligger veldig senralt med mange bussruter i nærheten. Bra hotell men frokosten var veldig dyr. Shuttle buss fra flyplassen stopper i nærheten.

Fuldt ud tilfredstillende hotel. Fin service. Værelseskomfort i top.

Fornøyd med hotellet som sådan. Dog skuffet over et rimelig nedslitt rom, hvor badet heller ikke var rengjort slik man forventer av et hotell i denne kategori.
