InterContinental Hotels Harbor Court Baltimore - Baltimore

Wasn't quite as luxurious as expected based on the photos and star rating, but the location was unbeatable and the front desk staff were great.

We reserved a deluxe king room, with a harbor view...the room was lovely, the staff more than courteous, however, several of the extras and ammenities listed with the room were actually not offered at all - or only at an extra cost. Yes, the bed was lovely and the bathroom had a t.v. - but, worth the cost? Not really. Parking was inconvenient AND costly in the hotel-owned garage; high speed internet & wireless BOTH required a charge to room or a c.c.; the breakfast buffet was non-existent. Overall, I was less satisfied with this hotel stay vs many of the lesser-priced hotels we stay with. Not to mention that, though all charges were booked and paid through hotels.com - we were handed the bill as being DUE at checkout...which then required a 40+ minute waylay at the front desk trying to get them to understand that payment in full was already made PRIOR to us even checking in.

I took my fiancee to the InterContinental Harbor Court hotel in the Inner Harbor as a quick getaway from northern Virginia. The room was well appointed and pretty big, but had we paid the rack rate, we probably would have been a bit disappointed. You're paying for the location rather than the opulence of the hotel rooms. Some minor quibbles: The otherwise-sedate lounge became very raucous after a wedding in the hotel ended and the guests spilled over to get more drinks. Normally I'd let it go, but they monopolized the bartender's attention and we couldn't get any more service -- to the point where I had to go to the bar to ask for the check about 45 minutes after her last visit. We also forgot toothpaste. Foolish, I know, but we called down to ask for a travel kit, and they said housekeeping would be right up with it. 90 minutes later, nothing. So I called again, and the concierge again said housekeeping would bring it. I then got a call from a woman in housekeeping, who (sort of suspiciously) asked whether we had received the toothpaste. I assured her we had not, and it was brought right away. Nothing egregious, but I did feel like she was accusing me of subterfuge to score another mini tube of toothpaste. The room service breakfast was pretty mediocre, and very pricey. The food came lukewarm at best, and the coffee was undrinkable. So, in all, for just the tax (which one pays with Welcome Rewards nights), it was a very agreeable trip. Had we shelled out the full price, though, you can be sure we'd be very disappointed at the several small gaffes here.

This was a last minute trip that my wife and I put together for 4th of July weekend. I was trying to find a room that looked over the Inner Harbor to catch a good view of the fire works without dealing with the crowds. Man did we find the perfect spot. I'm not sure why I'm even writing about it because I don't want anybody to find out how good it was. The room was perfect. It had a great big bay window overlooking the harbor. We could hear and see everything. The bay window even had a small screened opening that you could open and close to get fresh air, or in our case, hear the band playing on the green during the festivities. Another thing that was very impressive was the service. The staff at the main entrance was incredibly nice and helpful. There was one older man there. I think his first name was Don. He has been there for twenty years. What a great guy and incredible asset to the hotel. This guy is the epitome of old fashion service.

I love beautiful, classy hotels. This one is lovely - obviously first class in it's presentation, but it's just too stuffy and dated for my taste. My husband and I are in our 30's and we both felt like we were in a museum or funeral parlor. The flavor of the entire place was probably more geared for an older set. It was just a little stuffy and pretentious for my taste. I just couldn't get comfortable in this place...or relax. We've stayed at other hotels around the harbor that just made us feel more rested.

I was plesantly surprised on the hotel. very nice. the staff were all very friendly. there were no family type resturante on site however. it was more difficult than necessary for a room service menu. but when we finally did get one they were above and beyond wonderful. one of the beds were broken...so if 2 people were in the bed one would be fighting not to roll out. we did not discover this until very late at night. i did find it hard to believe that it was not previously reported. but our stay was very plesant and we would definaly come again on our next stay

Awesome food in the restaurants. Very helpful and friendly staff. I had a great stay the whole time there. There were a few questionable stains on the carpet in the room, but only after really close inspection. Cool showers too!

We had a lovely stay in a suite overlooking the Inner Harbor. We had breakfast included in our pre-paid package, however, the night clerk mistakenly omitted breakfast and also charged us for our room again. When I called in the morning, the front desk clerk said he would take care of it and also told us to order breakfast in the room if we wanted to. He could not have been more helpful and we enjoyed breakfast beyond the voucher amount in-room without any extra charges. The room decor was very nice, the bed comfortable, the bathroom well appointed and the towels very soft.

We only stayed one night but the accommodations were wonderful and our room was very spacious and had all the amenities. The pool and fitness room wwere a great plus. Would definitely stay again.

this hotel had a beautiful view of the harbor . The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had a pleasent stay. I'm from Baltimore and wanted to get away from everyday life and was able to at this hotel. The room was very clean as was the rest of the hotel. The bed was outstanding. The bathroom while I wish had a larger tub, was large and very nice. The hotel was in walking distance to restaurants but I spent most of my time in the room because it felt so warm, comforting,and inviting. I will definetly be going back for another mini vacation. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone visiting Baltimore or someone who needs a luxury mini vacation!
