We stayed here to go and see a show in the cardiff international areana which was only 5 min walk away from our hotel. The hotel was lovely. The bed was amazing. It was a really lovely place

Hotel situated in good location close to shops, bars, restaurants etc. The hotel itself was very pleasant and the breakfast buffet was of a good standard. The room was a little disappointing, on the small side for a double. The staff were polite and helpful.

Excellent hotel right in the heart of the night life. Trains, buses, shopping, eating/drinking houses a-plenty all within 2/3 mins walk. Slightly noisy with night-time revellers on street opposite hotel but it added to the atmosphere and was not an issue. Spotless, friendly, an all round great experience. Would highly recommend - although beware- hotel bar prices are a TAD expensive!

The hotel itself is in a prime location if your looking to spend some time in the center of Cardiff. You can Literally see it from Cardiff central train station and 5 minutes walk and you’re at the front door. One thing that did stand out during my stay at The Marriot Cardiff was the quality of the staff. All were very pleasant, professional and polite this is true for all members of staff I met at check in, the bar and restaurant. The rooms were clean and comfortable, a special mention should go out to the feather or micro ball pillows they really did help get a good night sleep. The windows in the room were so well insulated that I did not hear a single train, car or noisy student during my stay from Friday to Monday. The bar and restaurant were (as in most hotels) a bit pricey but the food was spot on. There was some refurbishment work in progress in the hotel lobby during my stay, although it didn’t affect my stay at all it would perhaps have been nice to have been advised of this when booking. This is the reason I have only given a 3 for the condition of the hotel and not a 4.

Good central location. The room was comfortable and warm which was important because the weather was freezing. The food in the restaurant was excellent. On the downside, parking is expensive.

Hotel is right in the centre of Cardiff and the fact that it had leisure facilities was a bonus, many I looked at in the centre with leisure facilities were double the price. We stayed on News Year's eve and were particualary impressed that breakfast next day was until 2pm rather than usal 10am!! The only downside was carparking was not included and to park at the hotel's carpark was an extra £12.

We had a most confortable one-nighter at the Marriott Cardiif which is well placed for all the central facilities of the city, not least St David's Hall for Leukaemia Research Christmas Concert with Carols. Really cannot fault the hotel though there was a minor problem in gaining access to the car park - a nice clean, light area which my wife found most re-assuring. Room v comfortable with all facilities except shoe clean - the plumbing worked! Excellent buffet breakfast. Thoroughly receommeneded.

Staying at Cardiff Marriott was a great experience. Staff were very efficient, friendly without being over the top. Room was lovely - especially the bed, which was heaven. Had evening meal in hotel restaurant - excellent. Overall ambience was wonderful as it was the Wales v All Blacks weekend! We'll definitely be paying another visit.

Couldnt fault the hotel, the service or the position. Be prepared for £12 charge for overnight parking but worth it as marriott carpark is very secure. only minutes walk from the international arena and millenium stadium. Wouldnt hesitate to go back. Wife said shopping was best she had seen

hotel within minutes of bars/shops/castle etc. We stayed with our young baby and nothing was too much trouble for staff who were friendly, polite and very helpful. Would definitely go back!

booked this hotel as part of an over night stay to celebrate my husbands birthday. The service was very professional and the standard of the room was great. I would certainly recommend anyone to stay at this very well established hotel, great experience.

Arrived by air, took bus which dropped us off at rail station and hotel was just 2 minutes walk. The Millenium Stadium was just up the road, the International Arena (where we were going) was 2 minutes up the road and also able to walk to shops, restaurants etc. Excellent location. Our room was excellent and large enough for myself, my husband and son. The only problem which I have and which happens in most hotels is I book for 2 adults and a child but the bed for my child is never made up and also only towels for 2 people. Apart from that swimming pool, breakfast etc all great.

An excellent hotel in a great location - would definitely go back. Only one issue - finding the place! Due to construction in the area, Mill Lane is closed off to all traffic except hotel guests. The signage is very poor and the barriers across the street make it very hard for those who don't know the area.

Was allowed to check in early by a very helpful member of staff after getting a soaking from the weather. (We were on motorbikes)! The room was very clean and more toiletries than a 5 star hotel we had the previous night. Good breakfast with lots of choice. Few parts of the hotel being refurbished but didn't impose on our stay. Overall really enjoyed our stay at the Marriott and was very convenient for shopping, train station and countless restaurants.

The hotel was really very good , apart from the noise from the nightclub outside , even though I was 7 floors up it was still audibable . Quite difficult to find due to new one way system also .

Stayed at the Cardiff Marriott for 2 nights on the 15 & 16 November 2007. Had a great price on Hotels.com for this hotel and enjoyed our stay. The hotel is centrally located for shopping and nighlife although there is a lot of noisy construction going on around it at the moment. Service in the hotel was very good and the rooms were spacious and kept clean and tidy. Only cons. were that the prices in the hotel bar were very expensive (but this is Cardiff and they are a major hotel chain so it is to be expected), and that the parking is also expensive on top of the cost of staying at the hotel (£10 for overnight stay but if you leave the car in the carpark after checkout its an extra £2 per hour). As we were attending a graduation ceremony this resulted in a £16.00 car parking bill on top of the cost for the overnight room. Overall this was a good hotel that if booked via a internet deal is excellent value for money for its facilities and location.

Ligger godt. Gode værelser. Attraktiv pris. Lidt kedelig retaurant men god morgenmad. Absolut værd at gå efter.
