Crowne Plaza Amsterdam City Centre - Ámsterdam

Despite on going renovations (no interruptions to sleep during the week), a lovely hotel with attentive friendly staff. Newly renovated rooms are more than adequate for a good nights sleep.

It will be a very nice hotel in a great location close to the train station, but it is having renovation work done and it is too risky with the noise to take a chance and stay as they begin work at 7am! Wait till they are completely done.

Great location, great staff, good restaurant; but I was surprised that a room at the Crowne Plaza would be in such condition. Many of my towels were very worn with holes in them. The room furniture was probably from the 1980s. The bed, although bigger than most beds in most European hotels (it was a double bed), was not comfortable at all. They need to spend some money on a little upkeep.

Even though the location is great we will never stay or recommend this hotel again. The service at the reception desk was horrible. During our three day stay they refused to issue two keys for the room on the basis that they did not have any more. The room was very small and dark and even though it had a window, it faced a shaft so you never new if it was day or nite. For amenities, there was not even a hair dryer in the tiny bathroom. The only thing good were the concierges' sevices.

The hotel is minutes away from the Amsterdam Centraal station and a many nearby stoes for shopping. The rpcie ws more so for the location than the room itself. It's condition was fair.

Was in such a great spot, 5 minutes walk from central station, the staff were lovely. Only thing was our booking said 2 beds on it, but we were told when we got there that we had a double bed. Which was fine, then they gave us complimentary canal cruise vouchers as compensation. Staff were very helpful with getting around & i would stay there again for sure!!

Blev tyvärr besviken över vistelsen på hotellet. Bodde här i två nätter i början av april 09. Anledningen till besvikelsen är den låga standarden på rummen. Badrum med smutsiga duschdraperier, slitna sängmadrasser... Känslan var samma som ett gammalt svenskt motell, tyvärr. Och just nu pågår det renovering på hotellet och det gjorde att vi väcktes klockan 06:30 av borrmaskiner på våningen ovanför. Det finns också många possitiva saker, pesonalen var artig och trevlig, frukosten var enastående, med allt tänkbart gott.

J'ai trouve sur place un personnel souriant et professionnel, le confort etait egalement appreciable et la proprete est irreprochable. de plus la situation (gare et centre ville) permet de visiter la ville facilement. Un tres bon rapport qualite/prix.

Proche de tout ce qu'il faut/doit voir
