My first visit and many years to the capital of the USA, and couldnt been happier with my stay. It was a nice hotel easy access to all the Landmarks.

This hotel was well maintained and the staff went beyond the norm to make us comfortable. The hotel was located in walking distance of all of the historical sites. The breakfast was great. I would reccommend this hotel to anyone that's staying in the D.C. area. For the price you will not find a better hotel.

The hotel was beautiful and close to everything the only complaint is the double bed was so small my husband and I had a uncomfortable sleep.The mattress was fine and comfortable i just felt like I was going to fall out the bed next time we will get a king room

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt for a night and was not disappointed. We got the Breakfast Bar option and it was worth every penny. The food was excellent. We will stay there again.

The hotel is beautiful, the service is excellent and the location can't be beat. Took our 9 year-old grandson for a visit to D.C. and he loved it! The health club and pool allowed for a refreshing break from the summer heat. Located close to the Verizon Center and Chinatown. Walking distance to the Capitol and Smithsonian Museums. Metro station accessible through the hotel lobby. Easy to travel anywhere in the city without a car. Breakfast buffet was beautiful and delicious!

The pool closes to early and was packed with children all day til closing. They should have a time when adults can enjoy the pool or have a jacuzzi for adults only. I could not reach anyone via telephone in room service after 10pm.

Great hotel and very close to area attractions. Parking garage was under contruction and had to park in a lot across the street which turned out to be a blessing. The cost was much cheaper than the hotel rates.

great location with many ways to travel in and out from the hotel. Service was great as well, would stay longer next time.

The Grand Hyatt Washington Center is a modern and beautiful hotel situated a few blocks from the White House and within a 5-10 min. walking distance to the Mall and most museums. Many excellent restaurants are near the hotel as well as fast-foods and starbucks coffee. Recommend Zaytinya and Central restaurants: they're pricey but the food is first class. The room was small but clean and with modern design. Overall, this is a 4 star city hotel at a motel price. Highly recommend.

Great room for the money. Very comfortable beds and modern amenities. This hotel exceeded my expectations. Walking distance to White House, Museums and National Aquarium. The staff was helpfull with anything asked of them, even resturant suggestions. We will definatley stay here next time we travel to DC

This hotel is beautiful with the grand atrium. The hot breakfast was delicious and the room was very comfortable. We were very pleased with our stay.

We stayed overnight for a weekend trip to the local museums. Everything was great. the grand slam sports bar and restaurant was such a deal. The rates on hotels.com were great. We walked to all of the smithsoniums and teh spy museum. would recommend.

Very convenient location...we walked to the Smithsonian museums, even to our restaurants for dinner. And the metro is accessible through the lobby. Our room was ready when we arrived around 11 a.m., it was a great rate, clean and spacious, with a pleasant view of the atrium. The staff could not have been more helpful and nice. We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel, and somehow missed the long lines both days. The meal was good and the service was friendly and quick. Starbucks in the lobby is a nice convenience. All it all, it made for a great vacation stay in a great city.

Great customer service, clean, wonderful decor, great location and near the heart of everything. Loved my stay.

Very convient to the Metro and area attractions.

the hotel was fine but the location and parking could have been a lot better. the cleaness of the hotel was good but, the hotel's workers were a little on the dirty for my likeing. helpful but dirty. 30 dollars a day for parking, just make sure you park your own car. i would only go back if i really really had to stay.

hotel was great. Friendly helpful staff, Excellent foof service - to suit all pockets. metro station accessible thru lobby. could walk to all the main sights - mall etc. Not too many restaurants nearby. H St entrance - go right out the door and walk a few blocks to 8th St (i think) Dont go to Tony Chengs (despite entry in guide books) - place filthy, food of dubious origin.

As far as location, this hotel is excellent. The metro is easily accesible through the lobby, and your a quick and easy ride away from all points of interest in the DC area. We stayed in a regular room on the 11th floor, and the room was very clean and nice. The TV was an old "tube" style, but I think they were changing them to the new flat screens while we were there. The sports bar is good, but the breakfast buffet was GREAT! The restaurants in general were very expensive, but your in the heart of DC in a hotel...whatya expect? Overall, very nice hotel, we will come back again!!

The hotel was nice. The layout of the lobby and the appearance was great. The only complaint i really have is that the room was really small. I expected it to be bigger for the price i paided. The scenary of the hotel was great it was really nice just wish the room was bigger.

Hotel is very nice. However don't count on the swimming pool. They shouldn't advertise one. The hotel location was a little too far from the tourist sites, but very comfortable and a good value.

great hotel and it is in the middle of everything. Metro station and location to area attractions was very good. No free breakfast and the lighting in the bathroom was poor are my only to complaints.

Upon arrival with my family of five, I was informed that the only room available was a king bed, though I booked a room with two queens. Then they wanted me to pay extra for a roll away and change rooms after night #2 of my 4 night stay. Lousy service!

The DC Metro station is located directly beneath this hotel. The location couldn't be more convenient. The staff were friendly and accommodating. My only complaint is that the hotel charges a daily fee for internet service.

The hotel location is great, close everything we need to go by walk or by Metro.

We got more than we were expecting... people were very helpful.

We got more than we expected. The hotel was beautiful and easy to move around in. Our reservation included a wonderful breakfast buffet that was second to none in both offering variety and quality. The service was also excellent to top of the experience. And the table was along a beautiful pool of water with trees at the base of the atrium. The room was big and well appointed on the 11th floor (of 12). The front desk was warm and gracious. For coffee lovers, Starbucks is in the lobby. Valet parking attendants were on the ball. The valet cost was a bit pricey but convenient as opposed to finding your own parking in DC. Anf the Fit Club was excellently equipped although there was a $10 charge per room per day (not stated by the reservation material or by the front desk). I had two teenagers with me and they loved it wanting to come back. Finally, the location was great within 10 minutes walk of the Mall, the Capitol, the Washington Monument, and the Smithsonian Museums. Ther were several local restaurants in the area an 5 minutes from the Spy Museum.

The good: the location of the hotel is perfect, as it has a subway stop right unter it. In addition, there are some fun restaurants nearby, and it's within walking distance of some fantastic landmarks, such as The White House. In addition, the beds are so comfortable that you are destined to get one of the best sleep's of your life. The not-so-good: The lack of proper sound proofing between rooms. When the guest in the neighboring room arrived late at night, I could hear the TV through the wall. Worse yet, when they jumped on the bed, it slammed into the wall and shook my bed. Whenever they moved while on their bed, my bed was shaken. I think this indicates that the walls are too thin between the rooms. I was awaken because of this several times and had to try to pull the bed a little away from the wall. Otherwise, the service was courteous. The daily breakfast buffet delicious. And the look and feel of the place is welcoming and cozy.
