"Hidden Fee"

Surprise!! They charged me extra 15 dollars for convenience charge or whatever they called it. They charge this amount if I use internet service to book a room, so they say. Well... They should let customers know ahead of this extra charge. Had I known this, I would not have booked this hotel. When I confront this, the hotel front person told me that there probably was a very small print on the bottom somewhere. lol.. So, you should add 15 extra dollars to what you are paying for. I thought I should let you know ahead beforehand.

The Hotels.com price was attractive, but Sunset Station added another $16 per night for "resort amenities" (use of the elevator, pool, etc.)

My only complaints, the buffet restaurant closes at 9:00 PM and the service was very slow at the cafe restaurant.

The room was nice except for the fact there was not a refrigerator, and or a coffee maker. They have an additional fee of $16.00, what do they do with that. We stayed for three days, unable to keep snacks and drinks, especially if you have children.

It should be noted that they add a $16 charge over the price quoted on Hotels.com. I'm not sure why they don't list what the room will actually cost. I have had this issue before...but I love the location, so it's not worth arguing about. Overall, it's still a great value for the area and the comfort of the hotel.

The pool was very nice, big. The room is nicer than expected for the price. Wish it would have had a coffee maker. Only comes with blow dryer and iron. Kids had fun at the bowling alley! Buffet was excellent.

Third stay here and the second in a week. Outside temps were 107+! Good place to hole up and stay cool for a couple of days enroute to somewhere else. If you want to do the town...stay on the strip or downtown. If you want to avoid all of that then there is no better place than this. Close to the lake and the dam. If you have a car then you can drive anywhere you want in or out of the city with ease. Parking is abundunt and closeby. Buffet is OK, I overheard one diner state that the Prime Rib was "Out of this world", I don't know, I like my meat cooked so I don't eat raw beef. The brisket on the other hand was not bad, although most would find it too dry and overcooked I am sure. The desert offerings were not up to typical Vegas fare although they did have a selection of real ice cream to go along with your desert choice. Didn't try one of the half dozen or so other restaurants on premises. Visited several of the bars and sampled a martini at two of them....I'm afraid they left a great deal to be desired. On the other hand I enjoyed visiting that onsite famous chain where you can order chicken wings, have a beer, and be served by very attractive young ladies in skimpy attire. I was able to watch the All Star game and smoke a cigar in a comfortable chair at one of the bars with virtually no one around me to be offended by the smoke. I could have easily haled one of the passing waitresses for a drink, otherwise I was left totally alone to enjoy the game and my cigar. This is probably not a bad family place, I saw a few kids anyway. The outside pool certainly would appeal to kids, it is quite large and inviting. All in all, my favorite outlying hotel and I stay here whenever they are promoting and I can get the room for little more than the lower tier hotels. The $15 a night resort fee is not pleasant but at least they do give you some things that are not usually free such as long distance phone calls (not a great advantage given the prevalence of cell phones and unlim

This was my second stay. Only downfall for a lot of people is that it is away from the strip and/or downtown...which means that you really need a car if it is your intention to see the sights. I like other buffets better but there's is adequate. Lots of bars and restaurants to choose from.

Check in was quick and easy. The room was really nice & clean. The only thing missing was a little fridge. Since we have young kids we had to bring our small ice chest to the room. The pool was really nice. The only thing I would to the hotel is to get more chairs by the pool. I loved how the hoel has the Strike Bowling and the movie theatre inside the hotel. These attractions kept our kids entertained. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Although this hotel is a little of the Vegas Strip, it's got it's own anemities that are convenient. The disadvantage is that there is an additional charge of $16 once you check-in that is not included in the hotel fare. The advantage, besides the friendly staff, was the Sunset's breakfast buffet and I have to say that it was delicious! Everything was fresh and there was quite a variety of food. The room was very nice and clean and a nice view. I'd stay here again.

My husband and I picked this hotel for price and convenience.When we checked in, we were told that there was a $15.99 per night ammenities charge for newspaper and internet service, etc. If we had known about this hidden charge, we would have picked another hotel.

I would definitely reccommend this hotel to anyone. We stay here everytime were in town. It's a great location! It has a bowling ally, movie theatre, and really nice swimming pool on the property. And it's right next to the mall and freeway!

The hotel was great, well maintained, very clean rooms, convenient to shopping and any needs, the food was OK, 30 minutes to Lake Mead as we were boating, although they have a daily mandatory service fee for internet, paper etc. and internet didn't work.

This hotel is an outstanding value for the money. My room was very comfortable and prettier than in the pictures. Common areas were well-maintained and attractive. Breakfast buffet was reasonably priced and delicious. There is a Starbucks in the lobby! If you don't need to be on the Strip, I would highly recommend the Sunset Station. I will return to Las Vegas a couple of times this summer and will stay at the Sunset Station.

Staying at a casino was different for us. This was a very nice hotel. The room was very comfortable. With everything going on below the rooms we thought it might be noisy but not so. Exploring the casino area was great. Check in was a bit difficult because the check-in desk is a good walk from the elevators to the hotel. Someone with difficulties in walking would have a problem.

"Great room for the money but long walk to the elevators"

The overall hotel was fine, but my mom had a problem walking from the hotel regisstration to the elevators to the rooms. It was a long walk and I had to push er in a wheel chair the entire trip.

Was expecting an older decore hotel, but was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were very nice. I would stay there again in the future.

The beauty of the room surprised me. It was definately on the fancy side. The bathrooms were not fancy but they were also very clean. I thought it was a great value. The $15+ per day charge the hotel added to the Hotel.com charge surprised me but that was my only disappointment.

This hotel was wonderful. Gambling was good, room was nice, beautiful interior, but service for a drink was terrible. We went to three different bars and still received no drink, at some bars we didnt even get acknowledged we were there.

The hotel and food were good. We saw an outdoor concert there that was great! The pool needs to extend their hours as it was over 100 degrees the weekend we were there and the pool closed at 5:30pm one night because of the concert and 7pm the next night so we could not visit the pool after dinner.

They charge an additional service fee for staying at hotel. Will close the pool if there is a light wind!!!! Room service is slow and food is cold. Hotel is good quality for the price. Several restaurants around the hotel.

Everything was great but they tack on a 15.00 per night stay on all rooms. Room service and poolservice was awful
