Radisson Boston Hotel - Boston

My wife and I stayed for four nights in September 2009 as part of our New England road trip. We picked the Radisson because of its location, and it didn't disappoint. We were able to walk to all the places we wanted to visit, including the aquarium and the fantastic whale watching trip. Even if you aren't keen on walking, cabs and buses seemed plentiful. We would definitely rceommend the hotel to others as a good, comfortable base for a sightseeing holiday

Very helpful staff, great central location, good breakfasts - didn't try the dinners and great restaurants nearby too.

This hotel was a great value- beautiful building, recently updated rooms, nice & clean bathrooms. The best thing was the location. Was walking distance to almost all sites, had a nearby T line for those that were a bit farther. Very close to eating options, so you did not have to eat at their more expensive restaurant. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions for sight seeing. Negative: The beds were awful! Advertised having sleep number beds, which should be a perk. They were faulty and uncomfortable. Would try to avoid ever having to sleep on one again, but that may just be personal preference, so I still recommend the hotel.

excellent location-great lobby staff with friendly and useful local help at all times-good views - pool and roof top sun area fantastic- family with two teens

Overall it's an awesome hotel. Great location right by the Commons. The rooms are big and nice. The air conditioner is quite load. The Sleep number beds are a promotion for the hotel, but my wife and I hated them - could never find "our" number. The kids however played endlessly with them and slept fine.

Convienient location to all of Boston activities. Friendly staff very helpful in getting directions and recommending activities, dinning, etc.

Poor customer service at the registration desk. In a two night stay the room was never made up. We were told we could pick up clean towels at the desk but Housekeeping would not be coming to clean the room - no apology , no explanation. Hallways were not air conditioned.

Very pleased with hotels.com on this stay. The cheap price meant i got to stay for an extra day. could not have done better if i had spent DAYS online searching. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

We felt extremely comfortable in the Theater district. We were in town for a concert and found the room to be extremely clean and comfortable. Would love to stay there again.

This hotel was reasonably priced and well located. We were able to walk to the Commons, public gardens, Beacon Hill and New England Acquarium. We have 2 children who enjoyed the pool very much.

We paid too much. We had stayed at the Intercontinental the week before for $70 less. That was a much better deal, much nicer hotel. While the room was clean, it certainly felt like a low quality room.

We love the Radison in general but had an issue this time because the pool area was not kept clean. We returned this year after a very nice stay last summer but after this year's experience we may look into another hotel. It seemed to be a very busy weekend and perhaps staff could not keep up with heavy pool useage. But things like wrappers on the pool deck for 24 hours, dirt, hair etc. are really not accepteble. Also from info I overheard at checkout people did get a better deal than I did through hotels.com Next time I will check the hotel's promotions first!

It is between China Town, the Theater District, and next to the Common. It has a nice terrace cafe, with seats outside on a balcony. The pool is small, but this is Boston.

It was a great location. The room was roomy and had a great view. It is nice to have two queen size beds when you have kids with you.

We securred a very good rate and found it to be an excellent value. The front desk personnel were very courteous and helpful. The room was good sized and had all the features you would want. Great internet service. They had a doorman , taxis right in front, an excellent restaurant cafe, and a Starbucks across the street. We were extremely pleased and will stay there again.

This is a very clean hotel with a very pleasant staff. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. I could do without the sleep comfort beds - which are not all that comfortable. This hotel is in the theater district and walking distance to many of Bostons attractions. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel was conveniently located in downtown Boston and within close proximity to the orange and green line of the Boston "T" and Boston Common. The surrounding neighborhood had many upscale restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. For the rate we paid, I think we got a great deal. No continental breakfast here. Now for the negative. The hotel is pretty old and the furniture and fixtures look like there were circa 1970-1980s. Not a big deal but it just made the hotel look a little run down. Once we got to our room, the bathroom was not clean as there was hair all over the place and urine on the toilet. The bed sheets also had some random hair. I call guest services and they promptly clean my room. The TV cable was also shotty; I had to go behind the TV and play with the cable. One other complaint I had was there was a lot of young teenagers in the building running around making noise late at night and early in the morning. I guess you get what you pay for. I would recommend this hotel to a budget sensitive guest but if you don't mind pay market rate within Downtown Boston, don't bother.

We were very happy with the location (within a couple of blocks of the theater) as one in our party has difficulty walking. The room was comfortable and clean --nice crisp white linens. Will definitely come back when we visit my daughter at a college nearby. Also, nice to keep the car in the garage for the entire second day even after we were checked out.

Location very good -- one block from Boston Commons and the subway. About 3 blocks to China town. Only problem was one of the beds (sleep number) wouldn't adjust on one side--always on soft. Otherwise very enjoyable stay.

We got a "buy one night get one free" deal, so I am happy with what I paid. But for the price, you would hope you get a continental b-fast or something. Instead, they want $18 per person for the breakfast buffet. There are two Dunkin Donuts near the hotel which is a lot cheaper. The hotel was nice. I was there to sight see so I didn't spend much time in the room.

Great prices and fantastic service at the hotel restaurant. Concere was fantastic and very helpful. Rooms ok, bathroom nice but we missed a make up mirror.

Got a GREAT rate on this hotel and couldn't have been more pleased. the staff was AMAZING - - very accomadating. the location was PERFECT and the rooms were gorgeous. Would come back again and again at that rate - - would be no reason to stay anywhere else!! Thank you so much - - you made the trip for us!!! Theresa

We were overall satisfied with our stay being that it was a great location as we were there for a graduation, however we were a bit dissatisfied when it came to the cleaniness of our room. Throughout our entire stay the room was not vacuumed, nor were our sheets changed. The bed was made (using same bed sheets) and additional towels were provided, that is it.

Good hotel with perfect location

Very clean and comfortable rooms. The only issue we really had was very long elevator waits in the morning. I think one was down for maintenance but there were 3 other elevators that should have been able to hit our floor is less than 15 minutes. I think that the bellmen were using their key to bypass all floors to pick up bags from guest rooms. While that is not a problem when it means someone has to wait 15 minutes on floor 15 it becomes a problem. Other than that it was a good location and an enjoyable stay.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel on a visit to Boston. We were in town for a four day stay and I picked this hotel solely on the reviews and was not disappointed. Room was clean and of a decent size for two people. We were lucky to get a room on the 22nd floor so we had a nice view of the city. There is a food court across the street and a laundrymat about two blocks away. Also two different t lines within a couple of blocks also. Although I didnt ask alot of them, the hotel staff (front desk, concierge) was very helpful for the few questions I did have.

Loved the hotel, staff and location. The sleep number bed broke and was very uncomfortable. The second night was very expensive (overly so in my opinion).

Overall the Hotel was very nice and maintained well. The only real downside were the sleep number beds. They were basically air mattresses and were very uncomfortable. If this hotel swtiched to regular beds I would stay there again.

Hotel is situated in the heart of Boston so that everything is only a short walk away! Comfortable bed, clean bathroom, and Boston Common is a stones throw away - I would definately stay here again!

We were not sure where to stay in Boston, yet we wanted to be in walking distance of restaurants for a reasonable price. This hotel turned out to exceed our expectations in terms of location, quality, service, and price! The only complaint we had was that we could hear toilets flushing from another room and the heater was a bit noisy. Other than that, we had a great time! Also, the breakfast in the mornings was fantastic!

Was pleased with this hotel it was quite central, room was large and clean.

This hotel was amazing. The sleep number beds were incredibly comfortable as well as the pillows and comforter. I had an amazing night's sleep. The bathroom was very clean and designer. The toilet was extremely powerful so I was a bit startled on the first flush, but that's a good thing. I don't have a single complaint about this hotel. Even the city view was amazing. Staff was extremely friendly as well. Will be returning soon!!!
