Todos los hoteles en Midtown"New York Palace - one of NYC's finest hotels"

We have stayed in NYC many times - the Westin at Times Sq., the Millennium, QT, but the Palace has by far been the most luxurious. The attention to detail, service and standards is by far the highest we've experienced. The staff are engaging and obliging. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and maintained to a very high standard. This is a busy hotel - the whole of the U.N. was there this week plus a few Prime Ministers and Presidents - but the staff take the time to treat you as an individual, and that's what makes the difference. The Executive Lounge staff were amazing - always welcoming and sociable, making sure that everything you needed was provided. Following a request for some bubble bath, we were presented with a large bag of Molton Brown toiletries. This hotel isn't cheap - it's a treat, and if you're visiting NYC on your honeymoon or for a special occasion, i'd highly suggest that you stay at the New York Palace. It'll make your trip one you'll really remember.

I wanted to treat my GF to a nice trip to New York and came across this hotel. I had never heard of it before but the details on this website and the proximity to the 5th Ave. shops were enough for me to book a room. The hotel staff was helpful and kind. We were blown away by the quality of the room we stayed in. King size bed with very comfortable pillows, a nice view of the city, a plasma TV, and a big bathroom. The room was bigger than I had imagined for a hotel in the city. The hotel is a block away from the 5th ave shops and it is only a 10-15 minute walk to times square. Please make sure to make good use of the concierge desk! They were very helpful and had quick answers to the questions I had. I considered the price of the hotel to be moderate, not at the top of my price range, but I was very happy I spent the extra money on this hotel. It was worth every cent! I highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed at the New York Palace for 6 nights - beautiful lobby and surroundings and fantastic location for shops and sightseeing. Had a standard room which was very large compared to other hotels in NYC - also amazing view over St Patricks Cathedral. Hotel staff were very polite and welcoming but in a subtle way which was really great. Didn't eat at the hotel - wanted to book Gilt but unfortunately it was full up. Did have some drinks in the lobby/bar area which were nice but very expensive - $36 for a glass of wine and a beer - but it was the NY Palace so understandable prices.

When we arrived with baggage there was no one to assist us with our baggage. However when we struggled our way into the lobby the doorman busy busy engaginging a very attractive young woman in a very short skirt in conversation. after checking in we decided to go out for dinner the doorman outside was too busy shooting the breeze with a truck drive and we had to get our own taxi. The next day we went out early and left the light on for the room to be made up and when we returned at about 2pm the room had still not been made up. we finally called and then had to again go out while they did this.

This was a great hotel within walking distance of Times Square. Its right on Madison Ave were all the high end shops are and subway stations are just a block away. The walk to central park is not that bad either (15min max). My girlfriend and I stayed here for a couple of nights using our welcome rewards points so the stay was a bit sweeter. The staff was very accommodating and courteous. If you're going for a night out in the town, the staff will get a cab for you right outside the hotel. But if you can, try to walk instead of taking to many cabs, it can get expensive (although if your girl has on high heels, INVEST IN THE CAB!!!) Definetly would recommend this hotel to anybody.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff was incredibly friendly. I called a day in advance to get an early check in and they informed me I must try on the day of check in. When I arrived it was no problem at all. They gave me a room with an incredible view. Bedding was very nice and cozy and probably one of the best bathrooms I have ever seen in a hotel. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to my friends and family and anyone looking for a nice experience in NYC.

Awesome hotel, excellent location - near the green line, great service from all staff. Only negative point is the over inflated prices of any food you wish to purchase in the hotel. e.g. room service, if you want of bowl cereal for breakfast, you'll be paying around $25. Also the business centre charges $1 a minute for internet access.

I loved the hotel. Comfortable, quiet and spacious rooms. Beautiful lobby. Helpful staff at the door and the desk. My only complaint is that I needed to call room service for ice to be delivered, and once had to wait half an hour just for that. I found room service to be slow -- 45 to 50 minutes once -- considering the hotel is known for its service. And room service carts were not immediately removed from the hallway. Still, considering everything else the hotel offered, these are minor gripes.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Palace. The hotel is beautiful and reminiscent of the old time mansions of the city. Part of it was a mansion, the Gilt Bar. Absolutely magnificent with golden walls & ceilings. Worth the cost of a drink. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable, as well as the bed and I"m very particular about beds. The location in mid-town couldn't be better. In the middle of everything but still quiet.

The service at the NY Palace could not have been better. The entire hotel was spotless, and it's in a great, central location. During the summer, on Sundays, Madison Ave (directly out front) is closed down for street vendors to set up shop, which was fun to walk through. Additionally, you are walking distance to Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Radio City Music Hall, Grand Central Station, etc. The only thing we used a taxi for was for dinner on the Upper East Side and to go to Battery Park to get to the Statue of Liberty. I highly recommend this hotel. (Just avoid buying anything from the room service menu - it's ridiculously overpriced even for a luxury hotel in NY. There are a ton of places very nearby to get any sort of meal you need.)

I have just returned from a 3 night stay at the New York Palace and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated inside and even looks grand on the outside with its welcoming large black gates. I stayed in a room on the 23rd floor and the room itself was a wonderful size and more than big enough to fulfill anyone's requirements. The huge king size bed was definitely the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! I was impressed with the large flat screen tv and the general facilities within the room. The bathroom was nice and generally clean (apart from finding a toe nail and a couple of darks hairs on the bathmat on the night I arrived - not very impressed!) however it could have been a little bigger! The turndown service with the slippers put out next to your bed and a chocolate on the pillow was a nice touch. I didn't eat in any of the restaurants so I can't comment on the food however I was impressed with the efficiency of the room service and the lovely presentation. Overall, I really enjoyed staying at the Palace and the location was simply fantastic! If I had to report on anything negative, it would probably be the fact that I didn't find the front desk staff overly friendly. The doormen however were extremely friendly and couldn't do enough to help! I would definitely reccommend this hotel and I certainly hope to be returning soon!

Given the right room, this is an extraordinary hotel. The views are breath-taking, the comfort level is high, and the concierges, bellmen, and housekeepers are superb. But because we were given a small, dark, room on a lower floor with a view entirely of an office building and a canyon-like alley, I was extremely disappointed since I chose the hotel because of the perfect experience I had had there a few months earlier--and to convince my spouse that there's a lovely, elegant, relaxing spot amid the chaos. The front desk was sympathetic--but only to a point, adding that rooms with a view came with a surcharge of $35-$50 a day. Fortunately, there was such a room available, and it was worth the price. The difference was night and day. Value alone for the no-view room would not have been a sufficient reason to stay at The Palace. View-er beware: go for a higher floor.

We just got back from NYC and stayed in the New Yoprk Palace for 5 nights. From the moement we got there the service was excellent and it was difficult to find faults with the staff or the location. Our flight was at mid night and we had access to the gym at all times for showers and clothes change etc prior to leaving to JFK. The gym provides towels, robe, razor and all manner of soap. This was our 2nd stay in NYC, we styayed at teh Omni across the next block which was also very good. This has a slight edge over the Omni. Well worth considering when you are next in New York
