Dom Hotel - Colonia

Inmejorable situación. Justo en la plaza de la catedral. En cuanto a instalaciones y servicios corresponde a un 4 estrellas bajo.

We loved this hotel. It was maybe the nicest hotel that I've ever stayed in. It was located right next to the Dom Cathedral so we not only had a beautiful view, but we also enjoyed the sound of the bells in the morning. The staff was exceptional, very professional and helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. Truly a fantastic value for the money. I would definitely stay there again. However, we booked this hotel for 4 adults and 2 children in 2 rooms. The confimation clearly states this and we paid a certain reasonable price to hotels.com when we booked it. When we arrived at the hotel, we were very surprised when they informed us that what we paid did not include the extra beds for the children. This extra fee was 30 euro per night per child which was an extra 120 euro on top of what we already paid when booking the reservation. Again, I can't say enough about the hotel itself. The disappointing part is that we had to pay more when we arrived when we clearly stated our needs when booking this. Somewhere there is a lack of communication between hotels.com and the Dom Hotel.

The room we stayed in was definitely only a 3star, if not less. We felt like second class guests and were wondering if we had reserved through the hotel had we been given better rooms? Restaurant and terrace very nice . Location superbe

The Hotel is in the shadow of the Dom Cathedral & this makes it an absolutely delightful place to stay! We were there on a weekend which probably made for a particulary nice location because there was alot of activity going on in & around the hotel with a fun beer garden on the side & music both around the side & in front of the hotel. Train station is just around the corner with lots of shops in and nearby. Hotel itself was classy, very nice, with a very helpful & very pleasant staff.

Excellent "grand-hotel" style old hotel right across from the Cathedral at a good price.

Cologne was easily accessable by air with good transport system from airport. The city had a good feel about it - good shopping, sightseeing and river trips. The Dom Hotel was ideally situated in the main square and was an easy couple of minutes walk from the rail sation. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Room was really comfortable, clean and well equipped as expected from a 'five' star hotel. Food was good and I would certainly reccommend this hotel for a memorable stay in Cologne. The main shopping area and eating areas were in very close proximity

Great hotel, great staff, perfect location, excellent price.

We stayed here for two nights for my husband's birthday weekend. The service in the hotel was outstanding. We felt welcome and well-accomodated. I told the desk that it was my husband's birthday and after a long day of touring, we came back to the room to a chilled, complimentary bottle of Champagne! We were traveling with our 6 mos. old son, and our dog, and were made to feel so welcome! My only complaint really isn't with the hotel per se, the location is great, and made it easy to come back and forth to the room while seeing the sites, it is extremely centrally located, but we were there on the weekend, and even with the windows closed, we could easily hear drunken folks yelling, talking, and singing outside of the hotel. We were on the top floor, I think they thought the noise would be less up there (I asked for a quiet room) but it was still very, very loud. Perhaps a room that doesn't have a view or balcony would need to be requested for folks who like quiet. But the rooms were lovely, very clean and very large. I would definitely return to this hotel

For those visiting Cologne, Der Dom is a superb hotel which is extremely convenient to both the train and the museums. The staff provides flawless attention and the rooms are beautiful and clean. The breakfast buffet is better than any I have seen, with a wide selection on all fronts. Sure, it is expensive, but I can comfortably say that you get your money's worth. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Even though we had received a very good rate through hotels.com, we were pleasantly surprised upon arrival to find we were given a complimentary upgrade. We had an absolutely beautiful room! It was clean, spacious, extremely well appointed and had magnificent views. The public portions of this beautiful hotel were meticulously maintained. The location of the Dom Hotel is convenient to everything. The staff could not have been more accommodating. They were very patient even though I speak very little German. They went out of their way to arrange tickets, cars, directions, and anything else needed. I cannot say enough about my experience at the Dom, and hope to stay there again in the future.

My only complaint would be having to pay for high speed internet. The staff was courteous and greeted me each morning by first and last name! They even remembered my room # any time I needed anything. Great level of service.

We chose this hotel mainly because of it's close proximity to the main train station and Koln Cathedral. The hotel is as close as possible to the cathedral and the view from the balcony was breathtaking! Upon entering the hotel we discovered that there were also many other reasons to choose it. The whole experience was wonderful - the staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are well appointed, larger than average and comfortable and we felt very welcomed. Upon evening turn-down we were even treated to a gift bag with holiday slippers and a fresh baked stollen. This hotel has mastered the art of customer service and convenience. We highly recommend this hotel!

We had a wonderful stay at the Dom Hotel. To stay at such a great hotel during the Christmas markets was just magical. IT's location close to the train station was so convenient. The hotel amenities and staff were all that we expected and more. The concierge did a great job in getting us into restaurants. It is the only way to experience Cologne.

The check in was efficient. We were upgraded as no deluxe room and ended up in a really good suite. Our daughters room was good for the money. The bar is expensive. Did not eat at hte restaurant elected to cross the road for breakfast and use local beer houses for food all of which where excellent for hte money

A three night stay at the Dom hotel, cologne did not start very well when they had difficulty locating a room with two single beds we had booked. However after a bit of room shuffling we settled in to what proved to an excellent stay complimentry champagne and in the morning complimentry breakfast followed for this minor inconvenience and Christoph on the front desk was more than helpful. The Dom hotel is well situated right next to the Dom cathedral so it is in easy reach of the main train station (koln hbf) which is just 200 yds away and also the main shops. Advice .... If bells from the cathedral bother you request a room at the other side of the hotel however they ring only for 5mins once every hour. Also the room does not have any tea / coffee facilities however a telephone call to room service they will deliver piping hot tea and coffee free of charge.

To have such accommodations directly next to the Great Cathedral is just a marvel. To be able to enjoy breakfast or a late-night drink and look at that magnificence is beyond words. Add to that a first-rate museum and the Altstadt, and you are living large, my friend.

evrything was what i expected, except i thought i included breakfast unfortunately i didnt, with breakfast at £25 per person we decided to eat out

When we EVENTUALLY managed to park our car our stay in the hotel was supberb and we were dissapointed there was no availability for a 2nd nights stay. The car park was not clearly signposted and an absolute nightmare to find with all the road works around cologne

A tradional hotel with excellent and friendly service. Updated and modern furnishings in key areas of the hotel such as bathrooms provide the best of both worlds. Central position is a great location for getting around and also for being in best spot in Cologne, opposite the magnificent Dom Cathedral. All guests were made to feel very special!

I was thrilled with the level of service at this hotel. The porter walked out to our car and personally led us to the parking garage. They responded to requests immediately, and in some cases anticipated my needs before I asked. We felt like family.

Hotel doesn't have safes in the room. Competitor across the way has free internet in the business center, whereas this hotel charges 8 Euros for every half hour. Shop around. This hotel is not worth it!

Rent, snyckt, trevlig personal och barnvänligt, nära till både nöje och mässan. Kanske inte så prisvärt till ord. pris dock

Et meget flot og klassisk hotel. Renlighed og stil i top. Personalet er venligt og imødekommende. Den fri minibar var i top og opfyldning fungerede til ug. Morgenmadsbuffeten var ligeledes i top og der var alt hvad man kunne ønske sig. Hotellets beliggenhed lige ved siden af Den gamle domkirke er unik.

hôtel confortable au pied de la cathédrale et à 5 mn de la gare, le rêve. Eviter peut-être le petit déjeuner 26 euro par personne, on peut trouver autour de l'hôtel des petits déjeûners moins chers et aussi bons !

Das Hotel befindet sich auf der "Dom-Platte" im Herzen bzw in der Mitte der Innestadt Köln. Sehr komfortable Zimmer und sehr guter Service erwarten einen in diesem Hotel. Die Parkmöglichkeiten befinden sich direkt unter der Domplatte und damit direkt in unmittelbarer Nähe des Hotels. Leider befindet sich kein Aufzug damit man vom Parkhaus ins Hotel gelangen kann. Dafür stehen einem die netten Damen und Herren jedoch tatkräftig zur Seite. Das Hotel ist im Gesamtbild sehr zu empfehlen.

Schönes, geflegtes altes Hotel, in dem einem alle Wünsche sofort erfüllt werden. Sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und sehr sauber. Die Dusche in unserem Standardzimmer in der Badewanne war ein wenig beengt und der angeprisene Flachbildschirm war defekt und durch einen Röhrenschirm verdeckt. Da man kaum nach Köln fährt um Fernseh zu schauen, ist das eher nebensächlich. Die Lage ist einmalig, man tritt vor die Tür und sieht den Kölner Dom direkt vor sich.

Hervorragender Service, Reception 1a, Lage phenomenal, man wohnt wirklich direkt am Dom. Alle anderen Hotels in Köln können gegenüber dieser Lage nicht mithalten., Wir freuen uns auf den nächsten Besuch

Hôtel et service de grande classe. A 11 h du soir, un groom est descendu jusqu'à la gare pour nous aider avec les bagages. Chambre immense, bien insonorisée et climatisée, bouteille d'eau minérale gratuite chaque jour, mobilier magnifique, TV écran plat. Internet dans la chambre mais très cher. Attention, le prix de la chambre ne comprend pas le petit déjeuner. Situation géographique parfaite, face à la cathédrale et proche de la gare, de l'Altstadt et de la zone commerciale piétonne.
