Best Western Mercedes - París

The room was as we expected in France,very clean,on the small side.A sweet little balconey overlooking the street below,and a nice view over all.The staff was exceptional,very helpful with the area and with "What Should I try to see in the limited time I have." Very accomadating,can't say enough about all of them but especially about Valentine she was the best,went above and beyond the call of duty.The only thing that needs improvement as far as we are concerned would be the shower,it was like trying to shower in an old fasioned telephone booth,very,very small. Other than that our stay was fantastic at the lovely Best Western Mercedes Hotel.

As we walked into the lobby there was a customer complaining about something (I dont know what) to the desk Manager and saying that he wasnt going to pay. We felt the same way by the time we checked out. This is, on paper, an average hotel made substandard for us when they put us in a room that had an inoperative AC. Complaints to the desk resulted in relative indifference with no problem resolution, no room change and no compensation. They wouldnt even give us a fan to make our nights a little more bearable. This being August, it was too hot to sleep comfortably so we had to open the window. This also being a 1st floor room facing Wagram Ave (a major thoroughfare)the street noise of fire engines, trucks, and loud scooters all night long made sleeping a real challange. Without AC in Aug, we didnt much care about the rest of the "amenties" of this hotel, which appeared average. One other negative was the size of the shower stall which was so small that whenever I turned around inside the stall (I am realtively thin to average in size) I would bump the water flow handle slamming it to full hot or cold (depending on which direction I turned). Not a big deal in itself but when your already feeling grumpy about your comfort...

Stayed 2 nights. Hotel desk people were very helpful and accomodating. First night shower drain backed up and overflowed onto floor. Had to take a shower in vacant adjoing room. 2nd. night air-conditioning was not working. Shower did work.

Hotel is one block away from the subway WAGRAM station (Line 3/Close to ST. Lazare). If you are taking a taxi to the airport, it's perfect, but if you're going by train to Orly airport it's 45 minutes, but complicated, 3 different trains, you could do it if you're good with maps. 15 min. walk from arc the triomph, good neighborhood, quiet, but at night it's deserted, everything closes unless you walk towards arc the triomph where you can find lots of restaurants. Good hotel, clean, Asian girl and blond girl at the front desk spoke English and were helpful and kind. Good price for a Paris hotel. The trip to the Orly airport by train is 45 minutes, but complicated, 3 different trains, you could do it if you're good with maps. Bakery right in front.

The Best Western Mercedes was a nice hotel located in a residential neighborhood. The metro was a five minute walk from the hotel, however I didn't feel it was so safe to walk around there late at night since not many tourists stayed in this area. The hotel is a good 10-15 minute walk to the Champs Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe. The room was a good size as well as the bathroom with modern fixtures. I did not get the breakfast buffet because I felt it was a little pricey. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful with directions.

We got into this hotel after having stayed at Orly for five hours when our luggage was misplaced by EasyJet (the same happened to another 12 passengers). So maybe I was just tired, but, despite a beautiful room in a quieter section a bit farther from the Arc de Triomphe than I thought, I was displeased with a $5, 10oz. Coca-Cola and with the attempt to charge to print out a boarding pass in the morning. The sole computer (no WiFi) was a heavily locked down affair and the sole hotel employee relented when I protested about being charged, but I didn't feel any warm and fuzzy things about the hotel. Again, I arrived tired. Beautiful, if typically small, hotel room. Nice bathroom. Room overlooked a quaint intersection, but without being noisy.

Very impressed with the hotel, very good location with a tube station on the corner of the block. Within walking distance to most of the attractions, and the ones further away, a short ride on the underground.

My husband and I aren't very picky, so as long as the rooms are clean and the staff is nice, we're usually good to go. This hotel is good for the price. It's located about a 15-20 min walk to the Champs Elysees, but right next to a metro station so it worked out fine. You'll be fine if you stay here and are worried about getting to the tourist attractions. The metro is a hop and skip away and the Paris metro is very easy to use. It only cost 1.60 euros each way, so it's inexpensive. It's in a good neighborhood and right across the street from a grocery store which could save you money if you're staying for a while. The staff is nice. The hotel is small, but perfectly fine. The only complaint I have is that our room door didn't have a key cover (I'm not sure what else to call it). The battery and wires were exposed leaving it open for people to take the battery out if they wanted. Our bathroom door didn't have a door knob. It was broken off. These are not big deal items, but makes it seam as though they don't take great care of their hotel and not worried about impressing guests. Otherwise, it was not a bad stay.

One block away from metro station but it was about eight metro stops further than I would have liked to have traveled every day. Hotel was tiny but just fine. Neighborhood was quiet but also dead. This hotel has world's smallest shower stall--so small we kept turning off the water when I tried to soap up. The elevator was micro sized. Except for sales pitch to purchase tickets back to airport it was great. Oh, also it sucked that Internet PC in lobby was NOT free--10 Euros to buy block of time. I didn't buy... no way. Manager was nice enough to let me steal some time on it to check weather but it's bad business to not have Internet for free. At least offer 10 minute segments for a Euro.. but they didn't offer any time length that small. This is not serving the customer but just greed. Flat screen TV was nice to watch Parisian shows.

The room was clean, large bathroom, quiet neighborhood, close to the metro, staff helpful.It was nice having free internet service(Wi Fi) in the room. A small grocery store nearby was also a nice benefit. We did not eat at the hotel. The biggest negative is the elevator. You can only fit two small persons in it. We usually used the stairs. Another is it is somewhat off the beaten track. But that was a plus for me since it was not very noisy. For the price I would stay there again. Also, a good place to stay if you are concerned about safety.

This hotel is one block from the metro and just a few blocks up the road from the Arc De Triomph. I found the staff to all be very friendly and all spoke english very well. The bathrooms were well stocked. The shower is a bit small and the rooms are not large, but for a tourist it was great. The bed was also very comfortable. Everything was nice and clean. The internet worked, but the connection was not terribly strong. The elevator was a bit small, but I still managed to fit two pieces of luggage, a backpack, and myself in it to go upstairs. All things considered, if I were in Paris again, I would definitely consider this hotel.

Every staff was very helpful and patient. On the day of my checkout, they even allow me to deposit my luggage at the other location of Best Western since it will be more convenient to me. This hotel is kind small but rooms are nice.

This hotel is very conveniently located in a lovely area of Paris. The rooms were clean and beautiful and made us feel we had a true Parisian experience.

The hotel is well kept and the staff speak English. The metro is pretty close, but the line it is on doesn't go anywhere very touristy directly and you usually need to transfer once or twice. The bakery across the street is awesome and there is a convenience store across the street from that (the hotel is on the corner of a traffic circle). The towels didn't get replaced as often as they should have and the plastic water cups were broken a few nights in a row. The water pressure was great and the water hot. The room smartly decorated with a nice tv. The elevator is tiny and can accommodate one or two pieces of luggage as you might expect in Paris, but the stairs are good exercise. We were on the 6th floor in the big room (free upgrade; there are 5 rooms per floor and 8 floors) and the 6th floor is the first with a balcony, which is very nice especially at night.

First time in Paris, and it was a pleasure staying here. Nice furniture, style, bathroom, overall great feel. Plenty of room (a rarity in Paris), in a posh neighborhood, down the street from the Arch de Triumph. I actually used my rewards points towards this room, but it seemed like a great deal compared to others.

Everything you need, fantastic staff, willing to help and very polite. Elevator is small but it works great. Located in the very posh area of Paris, many good places to eat near by. Walking distance to the Arch de triumph.

This is a very nice hotel and a very good value. The room was clean, attractive, and large by European standards. The bathroom was well appointed and even had washcloths, a rarity in our experience. The staff was friendly, efficient, and helpful, they made our comfortable and pleasant. We took advantage of both room service and the breakfast buffet. The room service was served promptly and was delicious. Breakfast was wonderful, and given that it was a traditional continental breakfast there was plenty to choose from. The only down side for tourists is that most of the usual tourist attractions are not within walking distance. However, it is in a very nice neighborhood and there are metro stations nearby. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Affordable rate, friendly English speaking hotel staff,and location near subway and walking distance to Arc de Triomphe.

This hotel located in a very nice residential area and about 15 min walking distance to the thriumph arc. Metro stop is right around the corner. It took us on average 15 minutes on the metro to get to the center of Paris. Metro system in Paris is very easy to navigate. Hotel staff was super nice and very helpful. Room was big and comfortable, with mini bar, and large bathroom. We would not recomend to have breakfast at the hotel because there are plenty little bakeries around the hotel, with vey nice selection of freshly baked goods. We would definatly stay in this hotel again!

Great location, short walking distance to Champs Elysee. Great value. Very small rooms and shower cabin, but like majority hotels in Paris..

Most of the restaurants in the neighborhood were closed on the weekend. They said they had internet access, but it was not available except on the hotel's computer.

wonderfully newly renovated, very art deco-esk. location is about 20 min walk to Arc DTriumph. very helpful front desk. Everyone speaks a decent amount of english, clean room and nicely renovated bathroom. honestly my only complaint is that the elavator was so small and had to carry my luggage up a flight of stairs. impressed how nice everything was.

This hotel is very close to many sites, that are within walking distance. The staff spoke beautiful English and were very helpful in arrangements for transportation and other needs. The showers are more american than I am used to in Europe, and that was a great plus. If I go back to Paris- this is the hotel of choice.

The hotel was good, with clean rooms, except that were given a smoking room when a non-smoking was requested. The bedding was great and very confortable. The Metro is only one block away but a little away from the main attractions. Highly recommended.

I was pleasantly surprised with my hotel in Paris. The location was in a quiet residential neighborhood with great access to the city. The area was very safe and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The price of the room was very reasonable and the bathroom was excellent. If you just need a clean, quick and safe place to hang your hat for day trippin in Paris without alot of lobby ammenities. I recommend this hotel.

This hotel is in a great location for sighseeing, only 5 minute walk from Arc di Triomphe and two minutes from nearest metro. Very comfortable room and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

LOCATION: - Very close to Wagram Metro station - Metro #3.; We purchased an RER from CDG to downtown Paris, and make 2 Metro transfer to the Wagram station stop. The ticket ran 8,40 Euro/person-trip lasts about 1 hour. <<________>> HOTEL sits on a quiet street corner, there isn’t much traffic noise. Pharmacy, bakery, vegetable/convenient store and a very good restaurant are all within 1 block of the hotel (ask the front desk staff for direction). <<________>> BATHROOM is large and equipped with plenty of towels. Bathroom wall outlet is equipped with a 110V-converter – a very nice touch. ). <<________>> ROOM was clean with comfortable twin beds. No coffee/tea pot for boiling water was a big disappointment. We stayed for two nights, fresh linens were provided and freshly made beds. ). <<________>> FRONT DESK staff is friendly; one was extremely friendly and helpful. <<________>> INTERNET ACCESS – was available at the lobby - 9 Euro for 15 minutes, Ouch!.

This hotel was in a great location for visiting Paris. A short walk from the Metro and about 8 blocks to the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysees. We opted for the bigger room and king bed and found it quite spacious for a city hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. the only complaint was the half door on the shower was difficult and the bathroom would often get very wet.

Well, I can't say enough good things about this hotel. The location was in a very quiet, clean, safe, quaint, & classic Parisian neighborhood with absolutely no tourists. We really knew what it felt like to live in the city as a native. It's extremely conveniently located across the street from a little supermarket (to save a little more money), local bakeries and butchers, and about 50 meters from the closest metro stop (Line 3 - Wagram). There was also a little wine store a block away that makes personalized labels (for free) with the purchase of a bottle of wine...very cool gift for only 7 Euro. You can see the l'arc de Triomphe from the hotel, but it's a brisk 15 minute walk. The Hotel itself was a chic art deco on the outside, but completely renovated on the inside. It was extremely clean and very well maintained. It was classically European...a little snug for two men, but for the price...it was a steal, comparitively speaking. It had all of the amenities of a 4 or 5 star hotel, including a fridge. The elevator was clostrophobic at best (which is normal, actually), and the walls were SUPER thin. The bathrooms were very nice with full tile all around, and well appointed. Every room has a window that opens to the street for some fresh air. There was a LCD flat screen TV to watch the local football game. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and most spoke enough Enlgish to communicate effectively. It was very Anglo oriented, and most of the other guests that we observed were also English speaking. I never tried the Breakfast, because I felt that 15 Euro was outrageous for croissants and orange juice. The internet in the Hotel Lobby is horribly slow, so don't waste your money on an interent card there. And for some reason, the maids insisted on cleaning our room...even after I specifically told her to her face, NOT to service the room. Hmm...I wonder what that was about. Anyway, nothing was taken, so maybe they just wanted to make sure that the room was

I loved this little boutique hotel. I stayed alone the first night and was in a newly decorated room that was absolutely lovely with earth tones, fabric covered walls, wood moldings surrounded room about a foot from the ceiling. The ceiling curved into the wall. Nice comfy bed. Drawbacks... the shower was small or I was too large?? The second room was larger same lovely decor. The bathroom had a tub but it was obviously one of their most used rooms. Leaky toilet, slow drain in facebowl and bathtub. The elevator can hold only three people, without luggage. I would still stay here again. Loved the neighborhood. Great restaurants close by.

The hotel staff was pleasant and spoke perfect English. Rooms are high quality more than you would expect from a 3 star. Small lift to the rooms so if you have a lot of luggage you might have to do more than one trip. It's very near the centre and the subway is within 2 minutes walk from hotel entrance. Area is safe and clean. Next time I travel to Paris I shall use this hotel again.

The hotel's location is excellent..about a 15 minute walk to the Arc de Triomphe, restaurants, pharmacies, shops and 2 minutes from the Metro which is just around the corner. Area is great, quiet and beautiful. It's even about 30 minute walking distance from the Eiffel Tower, Seine River and Museums. The hotel staff spoke English and were very helpful, rooms were cute and bathroom was huge, rooms have a vertical and small mirrors, but do not include dressers if you plan to sort out your clothes, but not a big deal. Overall I recommend it and would definitely stay here again.

The Hotel was excellent, front desk spoke English and were very helpful. Great area and about 15-20 min walking to the Arc de Triomphe. The only downfall of the hotel was the extra small shower, but everything I guess is extra small in Europe. For the price we paid for, the hotel is excellent and if we go to Paris again, we will probably stay there again.

The location was outstanding. Walk to the end of wagram and your at the champ de elysis as well as another 5 minutes or so to eifel tower. Great wine stores around and you have a fridge so buy some champagne!! Will stay again.

The hotel was well kept and close to the tube line, the room was much smaller than I expected for the rate but the bed was comfprtable and the room was clean. The TV was very small and the channels weren't correctly tuned. The lighting in the room was quite poor dispite all the lights.

Good location. Nice, simple and very adequate for a weekend in paris. Good price too.

Very clean, comfortable and friendly English Speaking reception staff. Excellent location. The only negative was the electricty went out in my room only. I told reception about it at 1pm and by 11.oopm nothing had been done. When I got back to my room I was in total darkness. I was put up for the night in another hotel close by, and not as nice. I would stay here again.

Fint og bra hotell forholdsvis sentralt. Tar ca. 15 min. å gå fra Triumfbuen til hotellet. Ligger mange restauranter og butikker i området mellom Triumfbuen og hotellet. Valgte dette hotellet etter å ha lest de andre anbefalingene, og må si jeg er veldig godt fornøyd. Rommet var veldig fint og det ble rengjort hver dag. Velger gjerne dette hotellet igjen neste gang jeg drar til Paris.

Litt utenfor sentrum, men god kommunikasjon. Rimelig og bra hotell!

J'ai beaucoup aimé la décoration de goût de l'hôtel, la très grande gentillesse du personnel, les prix raisonnables du mini-bar et les produits bio de la salle de bain.

Fint hotel, med venlige ansatte og flotte renlige værelser. Ligger dog lidt langt fra nærmeste metro, ellers ville alt være perfekt! Gratis wifi og super service ved afrejse!

Ett mycket bra hotellnära till Triumfbågen och därmed nära till de flesta sevärdheter i Paris. Trevlig personal, rent och snyggt på hela hotellet . Rumen och städningen perfekt. Kan verkligen rekomnderas,

bra service, personalet snakket bra engelsk. ligger ca 15-20 min gangavstand til triumfbuen. ca 2 min til nærmeste matbutikk. og 3 min til nærmeste metro. helt ypperlig. kjøpte paris visite pass for de dagene vi var der, kunne kjøre metro hvor mye man vil og man får bedre priser på noen spisesteder. helt ypperlig.
