Room is very spacious, love having the balcony and kitchen. Just think there should be chairs in both areas though for sitting. Bathroom is very spacious too, would have like a bench there for lounging too.

I like the hotel location and the trader Joe not too far from the Hotel. Staff was very nice and accomodating to us. My rooms was only one bed full size when I requested double bed but they did accomodate me by bringing an extra bed for $20. I did not like the fact that they close the pool so early 8pm. the kids can harly get there on time to swim. overall, I was satisfy with my stay and I will stay there again id I have too.

Location is great, between Georgetown (lots of places to eat, and shopping for those that like that) and the main tourist sights. Good value for money overall. Hotel was clean and comfortable if getting a little "worn" and the beds are not as large as most US hotels, but the rooms were reasonably spacious. Pool looks nice, small but not tiny, but in the shade most of the day, so not for those who like the water hot!! Staff were pleasant and helpful, but not always that knowledgeable about the area, so make your own plans! We were quoted about $55 for a taxi to Dulles airport, but they arranged a car who they abviously knew and we were charged $70, excluding tip!

We stayed 2 nights in the hotel with our children 4 & 6. I thought for the money the hotel was a great value. Our suite was clean, nicely furnished, and had a lot of extra space, including 2 large closets. The staff was friendly & helpful. They directed us to a grocery store nearby to pick up milk & bread for the kitchen and to a low key, inexpensive pub where we could have pizza with our kids. They made our valet parked car available whenever we needed access to it. I didn't have a problem with the parking fee since the car was safe & dry under the building. You don't want to have to try to find parking in DC. We also found the location to be convenient since we used the Metro two blocks away to get to everything we wanted to see. If you want to go to the Mall or Georgetown I would suggest public transportation since you'll do a lot of walking once you reach your destination. We had a few minor criticisms, but nothing that would stop us from recommending the hotel or staying there again. We did hear some sirens during the night since the hotel is across the circle from an emergency room. The air conditioner was a little noisy. The kitchen was bland & the kitchen lighting dim. Some art or pictures in the kitchen would help brighten it up. Also, a chair or two on the balcony would be nice.

Stayed in a standard suite which had microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Expected a little more in the 'kitchen' area, had to buy plates and cutlery. Room kept very clean and replenished daily with toiletries. Bathroom was well equipped with spare toilet rolls, towels, etc. If you are in your room about 6pm, chocolates are delivered to your door. Situated by Foggy Bottom Metro station so very easy to get to places and the Open topped bus tour stop was right outside! This 2 day ticket is well worth the price as you can hop on and off wherever you want. Used the restaurant on the last evening when they offered a fixed price 3 course meal as part of Restaurant week. The food was excellent and a good selection of wine, ours was brilliant.

The hotel room was nice, spacious with great kitchen area. The location was great, we walked everywhere (White House, Lincoln Monument, museums, Georgetown). Also, there is a bus that will take you in front of the National Washington Cathedral. You can even print your boarding passes in the hotel lobby. The only thing that bothered me was the bed sheet. It was wrinkled and did not seem fresh. However, I would definitely stay in this hotel again (and would probably bring my sheets).

Hotel was very conveniently located, close to a Metro stop and walking distance (albeit long) to both Georgetown and the White House. Their small outdoor pool was adequate for cooling off after a day seeing the sites, staff was friendly and helpful in terms of recommending restaurants, etc. in the area, and the hotel was clean. Only negative is that when we returned to our room at about 5:30 p.m. on Sunday they still hadn't cleaned it, and the maid knocked on our door shortly after we got in and wanted to clean it then because she had to go home soon. I understand that Sunday is a big checkout day, but that seemed a bit late to clean. Overall, great stay, would stay there again.

Everything about this hotel was great. It was spacious and roomy. The bathroom was huge and the kitchen was handy. The location was great. It is about 3 minute walk to the metro station and a 20 minute walk to the White House area. Any food service got charged but we could buy our own food and bring it to the hotel. The only problem I had with this hotel was the internet. It was TV internet and was not up to date and we had to pay 10 dollars for it. However, they didn't charge us because they knew it wouldn't work.

Recently renovated hotel is modern and comfortable. Foggy Bottom metro stop is 100 meters away. The staff is friendly and competent and is ready to help you any way they can. The rooms have been redesigned to feel "residential" and not like just another hotel chain. They are perfect for either business or leisure. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

I decided to visit Washington DC for my birthday with a couple friends, we found this hotel at a great rate and couldn't pass it up. When we arrived they didn't have any rooms with 2 double beds (even though I had called and requested it) but the desk clerk found us a room with a queen bed and a pull-out couch. Then he asked us why we were visiting, so I told him it was my birthday and he gave us an upgrade! The hotel was so convenient to everything in DC which made it really easy to get around the city. It is a block from the Foggy Bottom Metro station and from there you can get to any of the Smithsonians or monuments very easily. You can also walk right up Pennsylvania Ave. from the hotel to get to Georgetown and great shopping and restaurants. Driving in DC is a headache, so do yourself a favor and take the Metro into the city and you'll also save on the valet parking charge! Overall we had a great experience. I can't wait to visit again and stay at the Washington Circle!

On the positive side, the hotel had a great location, well within walking distance to attractions, restaurants, etc. and a Metro station. The room was clean but we had to call down several times to get enough towels, toilet tissue and other supplies that you would normally assume would be replaced. My biggest complaint is that a "standard suite" would imply a place to sleep and some sort of living room to sit and relax, but this was really just a standard hotel room with a small kitchen. The "balcony" had no chairs and just overlooked the street. I guess I just bought in to the pictures on their website and was somewhat disappointed with the ammenities. There were other suite-type hotels nearby, so I'll probably try them next time.

our family (2 adults and 2 children) really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. 1. Very good location, we walked to White House, George Town. Subway is just one block away. 2. Very clean room, hotel staffs are helpful and nice. 3. The suite has a kitchin with all the thing you need if you want to cook just like you are at home. negative points 1. During our stay, it was really hot. we were really hot after came back, but the water in the pool was too cold even in hot weather. 2. bathroom was really small, barely at size of 2 standard bath tubs putting together. Don't know why since the whole suite was quite big.

HIGH QUALITY TOWELS AND AMENITIES. IT IS LOCATED RIGHT NEXT TO GWU HOSPITAL AND CAMPUS AND UP THE ROAD FROM PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE SO WE WERE ABLE TO WALK TO THE WHITE HOUSE AREA AND THEN ON TO THE VARIOUS MEMORIALS. EMBASSY ROW IS ALSO WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE, IF YOU'RE ENERGETIC! WE BENEFITED FROM A FABULOUS LAST MINUTE RATE.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was in easy walking distance of the subway and buses for transparation. You can actually walk to everywhere also-- but let me tell you it's a lot of walking. McDonalds & Subway are in easy walking distance, which was important for our family. The hotel does charge $30.00 a day for parking-- which we weren't aware of. There is only one drink machine and it is located in the exercise room. The pool only stays open until 8:00. Despite all of this. we enjoyed the spaciousness of the room. The staff recommended that we use the queen sized bed with the sleeper queen sized couch, which was very comfortable and worked out well. It was also great having a full sized kitchen. If the price was right, we would stay at this hotel again.

I never have posted a review before, but feel I need to for this one. We stayed July 4, 2009. The hotel is tattered and right next to the GW Medical Center. All night just as we fell asleep, we were awakened by ambulance sirens, when the air conditioner unit wasn't slamming on - my husband said the air conditioner sounded like someone was throwing a golf ball onto the wall. I won't stay there again. I would have paid extra to another hotel just to not have the sirens and the golf ball all night.

I was greatly surprised with my stay at Washington Circle Hotel! I had read previous reviews of the hotel and was leery, but I trusted my gut instincts and booked...and I am glad I did. I got into D.C. prior to standard check in and the staff allowed me to check in early with no additional fee's. The presentation of the hotel was fantastic. The hotel must have undergone some drastic renovation, because the hotel was in stellar condition, rooms were well kept, spacious and suitable for the price I paid. The kitchen comes in handy if you use it and the balcony is perfect for a summer night! The only downside is first thing monday morning when the hospital and police station in Washington Circle come alive!

the circle, was a nice little find. for the price, i was worried we would have a little room, but found that even in the smallest suite, we had tons of room. there was a small kitchen, with a working stove and fridge which again, i was surprised to see. the location is great, and we did not have a problem with noise considering everything is bustling right outside your balcony door. the open top bus tours stop right in front of the hotel, which was even better since we could use the bus to get to the typical tourist spots and back which was an even better plus since we were traveling with small kids. the only con i found was the woman at the front desk. she could be a little friendlier, but the other employees were more than pleasant. we asked for a few more towels, and when they were brought up, they were even warm, which sounds silly, but it was a nice touch.
