Todos los hoteles en Chelsea - Knightsbridge"A long weekend at The Rembrandt"
Comentado por k, dehounslow, el sep 16, 2009
My partner and I stayed at The Rembrandt for a long weekend while attending Proms in the Park. We found our stay in the hotel to be very agreeable and all the staff were polite and helpful. Our room on the fourth floor was a good size and comfortable although we did feel that maybe it could have had a larger space for clothes - as usual we had brought loads. The bathroom was a bit on the small side but adequate. This was more than made up for by the large and comfortable bed and spacious room. Breakfast was absolutely first class served right up to 10.30 and we particularly enjoyed a late drink in the bar before bedtime. All in all, I would recommend the Rembrandt Hotel to visitors to London especially because of its position, near to the local tube and within easy reach of London shops, museums, parks and countless interesting places to visit..

Our only complaint was that we were unable to get a good recommendation for a restaurant from the hotel staff. They were out of touch re: where to eat. First recommendation was almost inedible. Second restaurant suggested very highly was actually closed down for what appears to be a very long time.

What can I say .... quite a lot actually !! This hotel met and surpassed our expectations. The location is so convenient. South kensington tube station is 5 minutes away and from there you have a choice of underground lines that will bring you wherever you want to go . Just 7 or 8 minutes the opposite direction is Harrods and Hyde Park. The Victoria & Albert museum is across the road and the Royal Albert hall is 10 minutes walk. The rooms were very comfortable & user friendly, because all facilities were easy to operate(unlike most other hotels I have stayed in). The air-conditioning was a dream to use and so was the shower(no twiddling or fussing with controls here). The breakfast was very good also. Overall the four people in our party were very pleased with the hotel and would recommend it to anyone looking for good value & service in a great London location

Near Harrods, local sites and under ground station. Great Hotel including good full breakfast. Don't underestimate breakfast value. Pricy at $30 per person otherwise. They forgot a 7AM wakeup call and bartender couldn't make a stinger but I forgive them. Short comings more than offset by other qualities.

We stayed in the Rembrandt Hotel just two days ago and whilst I accept that the location is spot on, the hotel itself is grimy and jaded and I felt it was not up to scratch. My room was only ok and the bed was tiny. The corridors are like being in a ship , very narrow and not that clean. I would not stay there again but I am a fussy person, so if you are not fussy, the value and location is terrific.

This hotel was very nice, friendly staff, and perfect location. The surrounding area is upscale with lots to see and do, very close to the London underground station to get into London, or you can walk to it all like we did! Recommend the breakfast room rate, it was a delicous breakfast, good way to start the day!

when we checked in we were given the worst hotel room I have every seen. It was on the top floor and was absolutely tiny. It resembled a prison cell! We asked to be moved and we were then given a lovely room. Why were we not gven this room the first time? We thought that they must fill the poor rooms first and then the better rooms as we checked in at 3pm.

The hotel is okay overall but our stay was a letdown. We checked in early, unpacked, and spent the day out sightseeing. After a very long, exhausting day of walking around London I just wanted to relax in a hot bath. As I was running the bath (in a tub with jets!) I noticed the toilet was clogged and inoperable. Long story short, we had to change rooms which, while not really a big deal, was quite annoying since we had to repack everything and lug it to another room on another floor. And then to add to the disappointment the tub had no jets, there was no balcony or bathrobes (as there had been in the original room). So, it was a bit of a bummer to then be charged for the one soda we drank from the original room's minibar. The hotel could have been more accomodating and apologetic for the hassle.

My room was affected by repairs to hotel external brick work starting at 8am. The noise was intolerable and I had to check out hours before I'd intended. When complaining to hotel management they were apologetic but I had to fight for a tiny reduction. The affected rooms should not have been occupied but the hotel had no intention to close them during the works. At the very least guests should have been advised of the disruption at check-in and offered another room unhappy with the early disturbance. The attitude was appalling. The food was also sub-standard. I would NEVER recommend this hotel.

We have stayed at The Rembrandt a few times now. Staff are very pleasant, hotel clean and well cared for. Free Internet access available in lobby or wireless in room if you have a laptop. My daughter & I spent one night in this hotel, and we originally chose it for proximity to Royal Albert Hall, where we were going to see a concert. As it wasn't as expensive as some of the others in the area, we just expected it to be quite basic, just a base for the evening. We were, however, pleasantly surprised. On arrival the staff were very professional and friendly, our room was lovely and clean. We were also directly opposite the V&A museum, which made for a lovely visit before we left for home the next day. Breakfast is a buffet style, with lots of choice, and staff are on hand to keep the tea and coffee topped up constantly. My only TINY niggle is that our bathroom was a little damp smelling (especially the shower curtain), but then I am extra fussy about things like that! This hotel is fantastic for families - its a very short walking distance to Natural History Museum, V&A, Royal Albert Hall & Harrods, and a tube station is about 5 minutes away.

The rembrant was highly recommnded to us by some close friends, but unfortunatly we wont be reccommending it to anyone else. Upon arrival we were shown to our room only to discover that the door between our room and the room next door was unlocked and could not be locked. My girlfireind opened the door by mistake to find a man in bed watching TV. The reception desk then kindly moved us to another room, only to find that when we opened the curtains there was two workman up on scaffolding having a cup of tea right outside our 4th floor window. We decided not to complain again and just kept our curtains pulled. On day 2 we came back from shopping and on the way back to our room asked reception to send us up some tea and sanwhiches to our room. 50 mins later we got a call from room service asking did we want something brought to our room. We finally got our tea and sandwhiches over 1hr 20mins later. On day 3 we arrived back to the hotel after getting soaked in the rain outside. We arrived to our room to find that neither of our room keys would open the door. It turned out the cleaning staff had taught that we were due to check out that day and cleared the electronic door lock. The most dissapointing out of all of this was that no matter how many problems we had the hotel wasn't at all willing to offer us as much as a free drink. Wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone!

A very nice hotel, very friendly reception, breakfast & claening room staff. Bedroom was very clean, good choice of channels on the tv & the king size bed was extra comfortable. What also made a difference to us was the location of the hotel on the Picadilly line which is walking distance from both Knightsbridge & Sth. Kensingtion tube stations (straight from Terminals 1,2,3,4 & 5, Heathrow). the only disappointment for us was that the bathroom was very small other than that, highly recommended.

Great upscale location in South Kensington. Convenient and safe area. Wonderful buffet (incl) breakfast. Most staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked a double bed type room but appeared to have gotten a king size type bed/room which was a nice surprise. We used this hotel for a base for the Royal Albert hall and museums andwere very happy with the location, hotel decor, room size, cleanliness and facilities. The bar food and breakfast were great, although the bar drinks were very expensive and there was no option to have single shots of spirits, making a small gin and tonic over £12! We only have one complaint and that was a booking made for the spa before arriving had to be cancelled as the therapist was not available due to an oversight. But overall the hotel is to be recommended for this part of London and we would go back again.

We recently stayed at The Rembrandt for a six day business trip. The expreience was a mixed bag but all in all you get what you pay for. The Room We booked two Executive King Rooms. However, the two rooms were drastically different in appearance and size. One room had a full couch and sitting area. The other was half the size with two chairs crammed between the wall and the bed. All rooms are lit by energy saving, mind numbing florescent bulbs that flicker. Free Hi Speed Internet was a true plus as other hotels charge fees. The bathrooms are strangely large for such small rooms. The rooms have mini versions of everything you would want from bar to ironing board. The Noise Both rooms had scaffolding and construction just outside. As the rooms were on the first floor, the men working were constantly just outside my window. Thus, I kept the blinds drawn at all times. After five days, it was a bit suffocating. Besides hammering, the rooms were very quit. The Staff When I brought the room size discrepancy up with the hotel staff, they curtly informed me that they could do nothing for me. Otherwise, they were transparent. There is no doorman or lobby staff other than reception. The Amenities The hotel bar is large and very nice. The included breakfast is a passable version of a full English Breakfast served buffet style. There is a nice health club next door to the hotel that allows usage for a minimal per-day fee. They have a very nice recreational pool and hot tub. The Neighborhood This is the true perk. South Kensington is beautiful. The hotel is directly across from a stretch of stately museums. There is a very nice Italian Cafe a few doors down that serves an excellent Latte. You can walk to Knightsbridge, Belgravia, and Hyde Park with ease. If your ambitious you can walk to Olympia, SOHO, Westminster and various other Thames destinations. Otherwise, taxis are an arms length away and South Kensington metro station is three blocks away. Groceries, Pubs and Indian food
