Starhotels Splendido - Milán

The hotel is centrally located and is easy access from the airport.It is 5 mins max walk from central fs station. The hotel is comfortable and is walking distance to the shopping area on Buenos Aires. The area around the hotel is nice as well.

We stayed one night in Splendido on transit from garda to UK .on way out we had stayed at its sister hotel -Anderson -which we very much enjoyed but Splendido did not work for us..Both hotels share convenient location for Central station, both have comfy rooms yet one worked the other didnt for us.One felt managed for customer care, the other felt like that was an evil necessity.Our greeting at recption was one difference , at Anderson very welcoming and informative, at Splendido confusion over reservations, no aplogy , no smile no info about hotel or city.That attitude permeated throughout and made the hotel feel unwelcoming despite all its modern cons

Location was really handy , just a few steps from central station , hotel was nice , breakfast good, service good at times, however room was very basic, very noisy nothing great and would have expected more from 4 star - and also balcony in need of a good clean - girls leave your hairdryers at home as no facilities to plug anything in!! Ok but wouldn't rush back - oh and have plenty of cash if u wanna visit the bar - 17.50 euro for 2 drinks!!

Great Location by the train/metro station. Two metro stops from the duomo and very convenient.

We chose this hotel because of its location across the road from the central railway station (we were travelling on by train), and because of the favourable reviews of other travellers. We were not disappointed overall. It was well appointed and our room was very comfortable. We would definitely recommend it for other travellers. The only disappointment was the breakfast as other reviews had indicated it was good. We found it a mediocre, basically continental-style breakfast with some fatty bacon, dry bread rolls and few choices. Not an inspiring breakfast, therefore, but the rest of the hotel and the staff are excellent.

Possibly the best location in Milan for train travelers. You can see the hotel from the train station. It is less than a 1 block walk. The hotel itself is fine, but make sure to request a non-smoking room. We did not and it smelled real smoky. Fortunately we could leave the window open to air the room out. Also beware of excessive prices for high speed internet access.

Splendido - perfect location - very close to airport bus, main railroad station and the subway.

Hotel is 3mins from Central Station .Hotel Reception Staff Courtious. Room on 6th floor was quiet and spacious(did'nt go to Milan to sit in Hotel Room) with mini bar, coffee and tea facilities. En Suite good.Housekeeping good changed sheets and towels daily.Buffet Breakfast served from 6.30am to 10.30am good selection.On check out morning was able to leave bags with Porter until evening departure .Hotel is a good base for all City travel. Central Stn is base for Bus,Tram Metro and Airport Shuttle

Opposite Centrale rail station is convenient for making day trips out of Milan. City center is only few minutes by bus or tram. Lot of eating places nearby. Brekfast buffet is great. Overall a good choice.

Although hotel is in an amazing location for travel in/out of the Central Train Station, the hotel is old and in desperate need of a renovation.

The staff, the food, the comfort of the rooms all were fabulous. I have written this hotel down when we go back to Milan. I would like to stay there again. The location is great too. The style is outdated but now would probably be considered retro...but all other things mentioned above negate the style.

Very convient for the bus to the airport. Food very good and service excelent.

PERFECTLY EXCELLENT LOCATION - Less than 200 yards from the Malpensa/Linate Airports Shuttle Buses and the Subway Stop at the Central Railway Station. Plenty of restaurants nearby. You can travel to ANY part of Milan using the Subway.

Public areas in the hotel were new and fresh. Rooms were slightly older but fine. Main issue we had was that the room stank of cigarrettes. Overall seemed like below average value for money.

The hotel is only a few hundred meters from the Centrale station so you can walk. The breakfast was nice. The bathroom was lovely and you received complimentary slippers which was nice. I felt safe.

Nice, clean hotel next to Central Station. Breakfast was included and food was pretty good. There was also a bar for late night drinks and snacks. We booked it for the location. We had an early train to Venice and the hotel was only few steps from the train station. Getting there from the airoport was also very easy by bus.

Location is good, breakfast is great, will definitely go back.

I paid 35.00 dollars a day for access to the internet that was poor at best. the hotel was a great place, but if you need internet access, its not a good deal. Absolutely great breakfast and wonderful people.

Great hotel - good location - nice complimentary breakfast - easy to get to all sights including hop on and off bus. Located across from Central Station and by the Malpensa Airport Express Bus!

The room was ok but there was an unpleasant smell eminating from the floor in the bathroom. Other than that, it was ok, not enough international cable channels but the breakfast is great and the location is fabulous - 2 minute walk to the airport bus and 4 minute walk to the central station & Metro.

We were very pleased with this hotel, the location, the cleaness and the comfort. I would recommed it highly.

Clean room, comfy bed, quiet, convenient location. Surly staff, customer service is not their selling point. That aside, good facilities and great value for the money.

The room was smelly and it came from the bathroom. It got better after I complained but was dissapointed for a 4 star hotel. Staff was alright but could have been more attentive. The good thing was that it was close to train station and the busboy did help us with luggage when we left. Took it to train station once he found out we were going there. Breakfast was alright.

The hotel is very nice and the location is 100 meters from the train station. It was perfect for me to get an airport bus out in the morning and for my friend to catch the train out of Milan. The neighborhood is a bit run down but the hotel is very nice. I clean relaxing nights sleep and a good breakfast before going on with our travels.

I was surprised at the cleanliness and hotel service. The rooms were large and clean and quiet. My only complaint is that were not aware of the the cancellation I made for the original first night. When I discussed it with them, they seemed confused and I am still unsure if they deleted that night from my original payment. I would higly recomend this hotel. We stayed for two night in transit back to the US. Also, the brekfast was exquiste.

For the amount of money that this hotel costs, you would expect it to be clean. The common areas, lobby etc.. seemed to be fairly clean but once you got up to the floors...it was filthy! The carpet was disgusting with serious stains everywhere, you could not even see the carpet it was so dirty. The air conditioning was minimal, had to call twice to get someone to come and show us how to use it and then it took a couple hours for them to show up. Not worth it.

Air conditioning inadequate in summer(they turn it off in the middle of the night and it was barely cool enough before that. otherwise a very nice place. convenient to rail terminal but not the greatest neighborhood.

Excellent location and very comfortable beds. Noisy however. Lots of traffic and emergency vehicle noise. Couldn't figure out how to operate the temperature and the shower door was difficult to close. Would like to have been able to open the window but it was too noisy. The staff was very helpful but the bar and restaurant were very expensive but since everything in Zurich was I guess it was par for the course.

Vi bodde her i 2 netter. Veldig sentralt - 2 minutter fra sentralsasjonen, men ikke mye støy allikevel. Air condition og kjøleskap på rommet. Ok bad, men ikke topp dusj da denne er i badekaret.

Meget fint helhedsindtryk, god service og fin morgenmad. - Når man tager prisen med i vurderingen bliver det hele ret godt

Et flott hotell med meget god standard med praktisk beliggenhet rett ved sentralstasjonen i Milan, hvor turistbuss, taxi, metro og tog transporterer deg dit du trenger. Hotellet hadde et godt anvendelig treningsstudio, og flotte restauranter og iskrembarer fantes rett i nærheten. Sørg for å ikke få rom i første etasje dersom du vil unngå bråk fra metroen som går under bygningen.

Questa era le terza volta che andavamo allo "Splendido", pero' la camera che ci è stata assegnata era molto peggio delle due precedenti. Ci è stato detto che nelle due occasioni precedenti avevamo avuto un "upgrade" della stanza. Credo che la terza volta in cui andavamo in questo albergo avrebbe sicuramente meritato un ulteriore "upgrade"! In particolare, il bagno era piccolo e non molto pulito.

Hotellet ligger väldigt bra till för er som kommer med tåg. Hotellet har en bra frukost, inte som en scandinavisk buffé, men fullt tillräckligt. Tyvärr var personalen "snoffsig" och ointresserad, vilket drar ner betyget...

Hotellet upfyllde våra förväntningar.Trevlig personal som var intresserade av att ge service. Frukostbuffen var riktigt bra, med stort utbud. Vi rekomenderar hotellet. Åker vi till Milano igen, blir det Starhotell Splendido. Ungefär 15 minuters promenad från hotellet ligger restaurangen Sabatini som ligger på Boskovitch som är en tvärgata till den stora huvudgatan Bouenos Aries. sabatini har rätter för alla och olika prisklasser. Metro stationen Lima ligger i närheten.
