I booked this hotel based upon the recommendations of all those that made comments before me. It was all true. Great concierge, wonderful location, and tremendously clean room with a fantastic bed. Also, it was very quiet. My room was not facing the street, but it would not have made a difference. The only caveat is that my wife went to the Hemingway Bar across the street at the Ritz Hotel for a drink. It cost a literal fortune, and when I went over there they were extremely rude and stuck up. Supposedly that is where Diana stayed prior to her demise, and the staff there have the worst attitudes I have ever confronted.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel at the end of July 2009. It is located on Rue Cambon, a quiet road opposite the back of the Ritz and next door to Coco Chanel's former studio. It's a very good location - less than 5 minutes walk to Concorde Metro station - with a number of cafe/bistro type place nearbl in both directions (I recommend Chez Flotte). It's also less than 10 minutes walk from Lafayette and Printemps etc if you want shopping. The staff mostly speak English and are very friendly and helpful. The room was a bit cramped, but that was because we had a camp bed in a double room, but was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Small balcony was nice too. Overall very good hotel - would recommend it.

We arrived at Castille about a little after 12 Noon. We had booked a "triple" room and were told it would be ready about 3PM. We checked back at 3PM and were told it would be another hour, however, 5 minutes later we were told a room was available. The room turned out to have a one double bed, even though we had booked for 3 people, 2 beds. We were informed that a roll-away would be placed in the room near the window. That seemed impossible given the space. The room appeared quite dirty and smelled musty. We eventually paid and additonal amount (about 75% more) to upgrade to a 2-level "duplex" room, which was incredibly nice, albeit expensive. There was a strong smell of sewage one day in the lobby/restaurant area for most of the day. The wireless internet connection was very weak to nonexistent. This is unacceptable given the high daily charge for the service. Overall, I would consider other properties in this price range prior to a return visit.

We have traveled to many countries in Europe and have stayed at some excellent hotels, but none came close to the quality of service afforded by the staff at the Castille Hotel. From the day of our arrival until we left every request we made was met with a smile, an "of course, monsieur or madam" and a quick resolution. Nahim, the concierge is incredible - he somehow got us a reservation at the Jules Vern. Overall, the staff is fabulous. The room was nicer than we expected and large enough so that we had room for four large suitcases. Breakfast, which was included, was a great buffet with plenty of choices including lunchmeat, salmon, eggs, sausage, fruit, etc. and the best orange juice I have ever tasted. The location is perfect. We walked to the Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, The Champs-Elysee. Actually, we walked just about everywhere. The shopping is all right there. The only negative is the slowness (very low signal) of the internet wireless connection. But, even though slow, all of our email and othet internet tasks got done. The Castille is a great little hotel and will be our home away from home whenever we go to Paris from now on.

This is an awesome hotel. The hotel is in a great area in the first district, close to the subway and minutes from the Louvre. It is right next to the Chanel flagship store (which was great for my wife). The staff was very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast buffet was included. The buffet is simply but better than most other hotels in terms of quality and selection. My wife and I filled up on a hearty breakfast and were able to last until dinner (with a couple of crepes in between). The concierge was able to recommend several top notch restaurants within walking distance (from pricey to mid-range). I would definitely come back here the next time I'm lucky enough to visit Paris again.

The staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. We arrived in Paris before our room was ready, but the staff was quick to attend to our bags and offer us breakfast. Make you own espresso. The concierge recommended and made reservations for us at some fantastic restaurants (Le Ferme Saint Simone). Also, the location is central to everything visitors on holiday would want to see.

Wow, this was a spectacular hotel. The front desk was very helpful and upgraded our room because we were traveling with a 1 year old baby. The room was beautiful and very comfortable and was kept immaculately clean by the hotel housekeeping (they even specially arranged our child's crib everyday). The hotel was well maintained and in a very nice part of town. We were within walking distance of almost every attraction (equal distance from Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame) and the subway was about 2 blocks away. Excellent shopping surrounds the hotel - would definitely stay again!

My stay at the Castille was a pleasure. The location is central, just a few blocks from the metro, cafes all around, movie theatres, the louvre, place de vendome, and concorde. Shopping! The service was fantastic, with Somnuek and Eddy exceptionally helpful. No request was too small. The various conceirges always helped with a smile, wether it was getting my phone working in france, or booking a reservation. My stay included breakfast which was a real treat.

If you want to be near the key sights of Paris, this is a fine place to stay. If you like to walk, then the Louvre is nearby and Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower are both reachable in 40 minutes or less. The hotel is decorated in the classic French style, and although the bedrooms are a bit on the small side (pretty typical for Paris) they are clean and comfortable, although ours was starting to fade a little. Food and drink at the hotel are a bit pricey by UK standards (6 Euros for a coffee!) but again this is pretty much what you can expect for Central Paris. The staff are attentive, friendly and speak good English and the only failing in this context was the barman who struggled to produce a good cocktail despite charging us 13 Euros for the privilege. Another good feature of the hotel is its proximity (5 minutes walk) to the Roissybus stop at L'Opera with its regular direct service to and from CdG airport. Overall a good base for Le Weekend en Paris!

Had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The staff were friendly and attentative. Ate in the hotel restaurant on the first night which was pricey but the food was worth it. It's close to all the attractions so we didn't use the Metro. The only down side was that our bed was two singles pushed together. Where this wasn't a problem at the beginning, the beds started to move apart towards the end of the holiday. It was impossible to get them to stay together afterwards!

The hotel has an excellent location on Rue Cambon. It is right next door to the first Chanel store in Paris. It has easy access to Rue du St.Honore and Rue du Rivoli. It is 5 minutes from the Louvre and directly across the river from Museum D'Orsay and the Invalides. The staff was very accommodating and spoke english. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a suite because we had three people staying in the room and it would be more spacious. The room was clean with a flat screen tv. The bathroom was very nice and modern. I have no complaints about this hotel. I had booked this hotel 3 hours before my flight left for Paris, I had switched from the Westin Paris. It could not have been better.

This is a fantastic hotel in a great location. It is close to all major sightseeing attractions. I stayed for four nights with my daughters aged 10 and 16. We had booked a superior room but they upgraded us to a suite. It was on two levels and was very spacious. The bed was fantasitcally comfortable and my 16 year old slept on a comfortable fold out settee. Having two bathrooms was a bonus. The staff were friendly and charming. The bar waiter got to know what we liked and they didn't mind us sitting playing cards whilst visitors to the restaurant were having coffee etc. Our deal did not include breakfast and at 28 euros a pop this was too steep for us. However there were plenty of places near by to have coffee and croissants to keep us going. This hotel is near all the major top class shops and is right next door to Chanel which my eldest loved (not that we bought anything!!). If you can get a good deal on this hotel i would recommend it. We had a great stay and will return when we next visit Paris.

The Castille is very conveniently located only a few hundred yards from the Metro station at Place de la Concorde. Just ensure you take the 'Rue Cambon' exit. The Jardins des Tuileries and the Champs Elysees are within easy walking distance as are the major department stores 'Printemps' and 'Galeries Lafayette' on Boulevard Haussman. Other major sites are easily accessible via the Metro network. The hotel is very peaceful given its central location and the reception areas are smart and comfortable. We were given a quick tour by member of the reception staff before he took us up to our room. This was tastefully decorated and our king-size bed with crisp cotton linen was more comfortable than our bed at home! We had our teenage son with us and he had a decent put up bed in the corner of the room. The room wasn't enormous but more than adequate and there was plenty of storage space. The bathroom was very clean and attractive and the shower pressure good. The air conditioning was effective and unobtrusive. All-in-all we were delighted with the hotel and would certainly stay here again.

Date of stay> Aug. I have stayed in Paris a number of times. This hotel was easy to find and within ten minutes walk of the nearest Metro at Concorde. Rue Cambon is a fairly small side street but can get a little busy at times. I took my retired parents there for a long weekend and I booked a room for three on this site. We were not able to check-in at theee pm so we went for a walk and came back at four pm. The room was still not ready so we were offered complimentary drinks and snacks at the bar. This was pleasant but spoilt by the wait for the room. We finally got to our room at ten to five. During this time the staff were courtious and pleasant and spoke English well but the reception staff were clearly overwelmed with a single female receptionist doing all of the work and two suited male staff standing nearby to 'oversee' her. We were not the only people waiting. Our luggage had not been sent to our room and arrived there one hour later after I called reception and finally went down to retrieve it. The room was not as splendid as the site photographs suggest; wall paper was peeling away at one corner and a chair had a large hole in the fabric. The large bed was generous but the single was simply a fold-out type but the mattress was comfortable enough for me. The linen was clean, as was the room, bathroom and seperate WC. There was a small bar-fridge but no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The

This is an expensive neighborhood (its shops and restaurants) with a significant share of tourist traps, so a value-conscious traveller must beware (of the neighborhood, not the hotel). The hotel was great value for the money considering the location. The location is fantastic for being central and within walking distance of most tourist-worthy neighborhoods. In 5 days we hardly used any transport other than our feet (granted the weather was mild and perfect for strolling). If you are not that familiar with Paris and you want to feel at the heart of it all without extreme hotel bills this is the hotel for you.

This is a perfect location for lovers and others with its proximity to the sites, Louvre, Champs Elysees, Notre Dame, Opera, are walkable, excellent shopping and good quality restaurants. The hotel itself is boutique and spotless. The food was just about OK and some of the employees could benefit from a winning smile but otherwise it's well worth the extra cash.
