Nice hotel, however, rooms are VERY small with cramped bathrooms. I was there for seven nights, likely far more than their average guest, and they would still not allow me to transfer to a room with a view that wasn't of the side building air conditioning unit. It was awful!!Beds are also very, very hard and small. Beautiful lobby, and service people friendly, however, they just listen but without nothing much to say in response.

Reasonally priced, good location and staff were friendly. Only down side is breakfast is massively over priced at 29Euros for a buffet breakfast, get your breakfast elsewhere!! Also a plus is a mjor maro station on your doorstep which is great for using public transport as it gives lots of options. Lastly there is a Starbucks right on your door step which suits me well

Room was a little small but, very clean but overall the hotel experience was great. Very friendly staff and very helpful. Saint Lazare metro station is 50 yards from the hotel front door. Right in the middle of the shipping district, a shoppers paradise. Highly recommended.

Entry, Lobby and bar area very nice and of classic design by Eiffel. Room small as typical for this age of hotel but adequate and beds comfortable. Bath of good size and facilities fine. Hotel next to St. Lazare train station and immediate surroundings a bit rundown; however, close proximity to Opera Garnier and short walk to great shopping at major department stores. Selection of restaurants adjacent and accross the street. Train and Metro at Gare St. Lazare adjacent to hotel makes travel from this location a breeze. Car rental available at station as well. In general nice for this era hotel. Value for location in Paris good for discounted rates; not a good value at prices near rack rate.

This hotel and its staff are simply amazing! Everyone was incredibly accomodating. Upon arriving in Paris, we were already a bit apprehensive with not speaking the language, but the staff at the Concorde were so helpful, it truly made a difference in our stay. Especially Marc, he is the most knowledgeable bellman around! The location was wonderful! We were able to walk to the Louvre, Champs Elysees and everywhere in between. Just make sure you take a good pair of walking shoes

The Concorde St. Lazare Hotel was absolutely amazing! It exceeded all of our expectations and was just breathtaking! Beautifully maintained and excellent staff (each speaking several languages to accomodate all guests). We upgraded to a suite and never regretted it - it was amazing! Great location and view of the city - access to all trains just across the street (perfect!!)

When you pull up, the hotel looks amazing. When you walk into the lobby you are impressed by the design. When you walk into your room, major let down. It smelled very musty and it very outdated. An interesting thing was the air conditioning system takes air from the bathroom and circulates it directly to the bedroom. It can be very embarrassing if you are with a guest. Also, I would recommend not going to the bar as it is extremely expensive. I would recommend this hotel only to someone interested in location, not hotel quality.

A very stately old building near the train station ~~ the lobby and public areas are quite attractive. However, the A/C does not fuction when you need it the most and the rooms are in need of updating, having become a bit on the seedy side with age and use. Being so near the train station is a double-edged sword. It is a very convenient location but the neighborhood around the station is populated with an assortment of "characters". On the positive side, the staff was quite friendly and helpful and the bathrooms are large and well-stocked.

Our first time in Paris and this hotel was pleasant surprise. We got it on a spring special for a superior room but when we checked in they upgraded us to Deluxe. The room was very nice. Only complaint was in the morning, the traffic was a little noisy so we left the A/C on and that drowned it out. TIPS: Marco Polo restaurant has excellent Lasagna. Conceirge was Wonderful! They can make reservations for Eiffel restaurant. Buy tickets for Louve in hotel. McDonalds and Starbucks next door.

This is a fine hotel. Like most Paris hotels I have seen, the rooms are a little small, but who stays in his room in Paris? The hotel is excellent, but the restaurant is superb in terms of both service and the quality of the food. My wife and I had the best meal (lamb) we have ever had in Paris in this hotel restaurant. The hotel is convenient to the metro and the train from CDG airport, and that was a plus for us. I recommend this hotel highly. Mississippi Travelers

We picked this hotel without knowing anything but what was noted on the Hotels.com website. Hotel had a grand feeling in the lobby. The staff was attentive and helpful, as it was our first time in Paris. We arrived earlier than anticipated, and our room was not not going to be ready for at least 2-3 hours!! Tired from our plane flight, the hotel realized that, and within an hour had a room ready for us!!! And we were very happy upon that! Good location near fairly large metro stops, which made it easy to get around the city. Tne hotel restaurant, Cafe Terminus, was a lovely dinner. A hidden surprise.

This hotel was built for the 1900 World's Fair and is one of those "grand" hotels, like the Plaza in New York. Some of the rooms have a few quirks (like the window in the bathroom hitting the WC making it impossible to use the balcony outside) but the window in the bedroom was fine and allowed access. I liked the fact that the HUGE windows opened up, and the beds provided the best sleep that I have ever had. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. The hotel had a lot of old-world charm. We were very satisfied with the location also---right across from the train station (Gare St Lazare), and the Metro was directly across the street. The concierges were EXTREMELY helpful, knowledgeable and most of all, pleasant. The bar was busy (but smoke-filled). We did not eat in the hotel restaurant because Paris has too many restaurants to try. All in all, a dream trip with a hotel that met our expectations very well.

Convenient location, walking distance(if you enjoy walking) or metrostop and train stations across the street to get to all major attractions in Paris. Many restaurants nearby, but found local grocery store around the corner with great selection of beer, wine and cheese. Staff ranged from very helpful (we were offered a free room upgrade), to downright obnoxious (one concierge couldn't answer the most basic questions)Booking through hotels.com was significantly cheaper than direct or even through our large group. Paris was overrated with smoking, garbage and traffic everywhere and skyhigh prices for virtually everything. However, admission to all state attractions is very cheap (louvre $8 euro, etc) so avoid the high price of tour companies, get there yourself and rent the headsets.

What I requested was a double bed/non-smoking. Instead I got 2 single beds/smoking. It was okay- I know others who traveled in France and got 2 singles posing as a double bed. The hotel was more basic and the roomers smaller than I thought they would be but the room was clean and the service was great. The best is the location, you cannot beat it. It is literally next to the train station and with the windows closed, you do not get any noise whatsoever.
