This famous hotel lived up to its reputation, the room was dated, and we had no view, but it contained everything we needed and more. The louge was wonderful for sitting watching the world go by and having a afternoon tea. Would go back.

Hotel very clean, older European style. Staff was very nice, business center was free of charge. Rooms were very small however, with very small gym. Also there were no newspapers or things to read in the room. Hotel had a "British Tea" that was very substantial. Hotel had European sensibility. Would stay again. NIce big tub.

This hotel was perfectly located right in the heart of all the action of downtown Dublin. The lounge and restaurant were very well appointed and the room, although small, was clean and more than sufficient with its amenities like easy to access Wi-Fi and wonderful full shower head. Service was immediate and friendly. We will definitely use this hotel upon a return visit to this fun city.

We had a lovely stay at the Gresham. Our last visit was Christmas when we took in 2 shows and did a little shopping. This time we.took in the Kilmainham tour, had dinner in one of the hotel resturants, walked on the boardwalk to the Olympia to see a show, strolled back through Temple Bar. We went out for breakfast as it was a bit pricey at the hotel. We then got the Luas to Croke Park to see our team win! Alltogether a brilliant weekend! The Gresham is right at thecentre of things with a lovely atmosphere. Will return soon.

I had originally was going to spend the begining of my 25 day europe trip @ the Gresham and then found some un favorable comments on trip advisor, so i stayed away at first. Boy were they wrong, staff was adequate, hotel interior was better than expected, and the room was large and quite. hotel is right in fornt of the airlink bus connection to and from Dublin airport. Only a 10 minute walk to Temple Bar, Trinity College, and Grafton St. Only regret is that i did'nt stay more nights at the Gresham. Would stay here again if i were to return to Dublin.

I enjoyed staying at The Gresham Hotel. The hotel is located on O'Connell St in a convenient center of Dublin, shopping, and tourist places. This hotel was between 5-10 minute walk to get to the shopping areas, depending on where you were shopping since there are so many places to shop. It is also about a 10 minute walk to the Temple Bar area. I had a room facing the street because I wanted a view of the people walking by, however I would recommend a room on a higher floor facing the back of the hotel if you do not want to hear the street noise which does continue all night long. The bedding in the room was comfy, the bathroom was a good size with upgraded fixtures, and there was a nice size flatscreen tv in the room. Another plus of this hotel's location is that all the cabs wait at the taxi stand right across the street from the hotel which is convenient when you need to leave very early in the morning. The staff was friendly as well as helpful with directions, plus the front desk will convert cash from several currencies for you.

Although there are cheaper hotels in Dublin, The Gresham is worth the extra cost if you are looking for a quite, clean and friendly hotel. The clientele this hotel seems to attract was evident when I entered, and saw the average age of the people having tea were about 50 plus. While I don’t fall into this age bracket, it gave me the reassurance that I wasn’t going to be kept awake all night by drunken guests. I slept like a baby! The coach from the airport stops right outside the hotel as do all the city tour busses, making it a great location to stay. There aren’t many hotels that I’d recommended or stay at again, but this is one of them!

sobre value="10""Great location, hot water only"
Comentado por un huésped de Hotels.com el jul 15, 2009.
The Gresham is in an excellent location to enjoy all that Dublin has to offer. The hotel room was quite spacious with a full size and a twin bed. The bathroom sink had only hot (very hot) water, as did the toilet so the only access to cold water was the tub. We anticipated use of the rainwater shower head, but the faucets were loose and fell off when we attempted to turn it on. Luckily, the tub had a functional hand held shower.

Hotel is a one of the best I have stayed in In Ireland. This was my 4th trip and by far the best. It is only a 10 minute walk to the train station and Temple bar so not so bad location. Rooms facing OConnel St are noisy some nights.

Fantastic city center hotel. Only 2 little complaints, the lift set-up is very confusing when coming from the car-park into the main hotel building,it could do with being better(clearer) signposted and secondly we couldn't get the air-con to work in our room and there was no instructions anywhere to explain how it worked. Other than that a fantastic place to stay and we will most certainly be using it again for future trips to Dublin

Comentado por Jody, deFt Lauderdale, el jun 18, 2009
This hotel had a pretty lobby and the building itself was great architecturally, but many of the fixtures in the rooms were extremely old and needed to be replaced. The tub had a huge crack in it, some of the furniture was a little abused, the rooms needed painting. You couldn't open the bathroom windows. We stayed in two different rooms during our trip. The staff was very helpful, they even let us check in early one day which was really appreciated. The restaurant food was okay at best, not really worth the price paid. You had to pay for parking. People often ate at little tiny tables in the lobby walkway between the front desk and the elevators -this seemed really strange and we felt uncomfortable passing, with luggage, that close to people while they were eating. As far as location goes, it was okay, but better to be on the other side of the river near the cathedrals, etc.

it is my opinion that the staff particularly the bar staff could do with a course in customer care .while we were there we ate in chapter one and the friendliness of the staff there should be seen by your people.we felt we were inconveniencing your bar staff by being there

sobre value="10""good location but disappointing room"
Comentado por un huésped de Hotels.com el jun 3, 2009.
the gresham is in a great location, and the room was very clean, but found it quiet drab. Firstly our window looked straight out onto a brick wall, which made the room very dark. The interior of the room, while functional, was very disappointing for a four star hotel. Have seen more stylish and comfortable rooms in lower grade hotels. Booked the gresham as a special treat but could have gotten more for my money elsewhere... However the staff were very accomadating and friendly, just the dated decor that disappointed.

This hotel was very nice, especially for the price. Located in central Dublin a few blocks from the Leffey. The room was very large and comfortable, especially for the center of town. Wireless could have been faster, but was free, so hard to complain there.
