Royal Windsor Hotel Grand'Place - Bruselas

If you're looking for somewhere right in the centre, then this has an ideal situation. It's a smart hotel. We didn't use any of the facilities or dine there as there are so many places to eat nearby. Nevertheless, the room was nice and quiet and the staff were very helpful. Easy to reach and if you're travelling by Eurostar, you can use the ticket to take you to the local station, which is less than a five minute walk away. Recommended.

The location of the Royal Windsor minutes away from the Grand Place is fantastic but it is tucked away enough not to be too noisy. It was also great value for money. We had excellent service and had a call from reception shortly after we got to our room to check everything was OK and we were happy with our room. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Extremely good location. Less than 5 minutes from the train station with excellent connection to airport. Very comfortable room. Grand Place is just around the corner. Many great places to eat are nearby.

This was my first trip to Brussels and maybe I am expecting too much for the money spent but this was equal to a Holiday Inn in America. The lobby is lovely but once past the entrance...nothing special. (And it was expensive when we visited.) The surrounding area felt a bit unsafe but I think Brussels can feel that way in general. The staff was snobby and unfreindly.

What an amazing hotel. Everything we asked for and expected we got. We asked for a late check out and they provided us with an excellent deal which included a room upgrade, free movies, late checkout and a breakfast. The upgraded room was amazing - a Fashion room. We were treated so well by all the staff and it was just a pleasure to stay at. This is our 2nd stay at the hotel, and I would highly recommend it to everyone.

We arrived very late night time. The staff was very nice and helpfull. Excellent services, cleant and tidy hotel.

The location of the hotel is outstanding. We paid a very discounted rate and would not have thought as highly of the hotel at a higher rate. The walls were kind of thin and it could get noisy. Also, the room was extremely hot and we could not get it any cooler. We resorted to opening the window. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom is very nice. They did a good job of maximizing the small amount of space with closets with nice organizers. The concierge needs some work. I emailed well before the trip for assistance setting up a daytrip to a brewery. After about a day the concierge basically said he didn't know how to do it and told me to do it myself. Also, their restaurant suggestions were not good.

Friendly staff and excellent location. Would certainly use again.

This hotel is fantastically convenient to both the Brussels train station, the town square, and all the sites. I'd say it's a pretty standard hotel for the money, but the location can't be beat.

Not only was the Hotel elegant and comfortable, the location was perfect! The service was friendly and very helpful in answering any questions.

This hotel is about 1 block away from the train station and very close to the Grand Place and all the great Brussels restaurants. Like most European hotels, the room was small, yet lovely. We would stay here again, if we could get the same fabulous rates!

It is a very old hotel in need of renovation. The rooms are aged. I am sure it was a very nice hotel about 10 years ago but now it looks and feels it...

The hotel is a clean, modern, efficinet facility - great location - just a block from grand place. Great weekend deal - not so for mid week. DOWN: No coffee machine in the room

We visited Brussels with my husband and my baby in March. We asked for a superior room, without breakfast. We arrived quite late on a Friday night, I have called the day before to be sure that the cot bed would be in the room before we arrive, but it was not and we had to wait for it about 30 minutes. Then our room was just above a night club, and we finally asked at 1.30 am in the morning to change our room, because the music was too loud. Happily, they accepted our request and we got a new room in the same corridor, but the opposite side, which was quiet. Apart that, the service was excellent, and the staff very nice. The location is great: just in front of the central train station and at one street of Grand'Place.

This is an outstanding hotel in a great location. Because I got a good deal, I thought it was not overly expensive either. Although I wouldn't pay full price for what I got. Unless you have money to burn, don't get the breakfast. There are plenty of places within a 5 minute walk that offer great breakfasts and less than half the price. Rooms were small, but very clean and well maintained.

A nice hotel - not a 5 star in my opinion though. Decor is a bit jaded,.Staff were courteous and helpful. Excellent location.

For amenities and location it is hard to beat this hotel. The staff is great and the Concierge is the most knowledgeable of all the ones I've known. I travel through Brussels 10 times a year and I have always liked this hotel best.

Service, quaility of room etc was of a high quaility

The hotel has seen better days. The TV in the room was at the side of the bed so impossible to watch from the bed. The top of the shower rail was filthy, always a test of how clean the place was. Infirmation from conceage was inaccurate, saying there was no Metro in the area I needed to travel to, but in fact there was one just around the corner.

Staff where very friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and comfortable, but not as a % stars standards. It was more like a 4 stars ratting. But we got a good last minute bargain, can't complaint!

Royal Windsor is a lovely hotel with a cracking location only a stone's throw away from the Grand Place. The rooms were clean well decorated, although this is still one of those hotels without any tea making facitlites which can be frustrating as a tea drinker. But overall an easy and pleasant stay. Great for those unfamiliar with Brussels.

This is definately a beautiful hotel and 100%. The Rooms are immaculate, a little on the small side but what more do you want away. Staff very helpful and a beautful bar in the hotel. 2 min walk from the train station and very central.

Sometimes we expect more than we recieve and sometimes we get more than we expect! The Royal Windsor provides the later. I travel to Brussels 8 to 10 times a year and wouldn't think of staying elsewhere. In the perfect area and worth every dolar / euro.

Hotel was very nice and convinent to all local attractions and train station. Staff wasn't nice and we even spoke french. They seemed to act as they were better than everyone. It was unfortunate because everything else was perfect.

My wife and our freinds went to the christmas markets for a weekend shopping break, two weeks before christmas On check we where told that we had booked 2 twin , smoking rooms. even thought i showed them confimation that i had booked 2 double NON-SMOKING ROOMS. but they said they where fully booked and there was nothin they could do.I booked the rooms on the 18th August, four months prior to our visit the receptionist had no interest in helping us out so we had no option but to take the rooms. the rooms where very nice the only down side was they stunk of smoke and to a non smoker it was very unpleasant, apart from this the hotel was very clean and tidy and in a great location.

I am now on my 12 stay at the Royal Windsor in Bruxelles. I always tag on a relaxing wknd here when working in Paris! What an amaizing staff. I have to say that the evening/ wknd manager (BEATRICE)on my last stay cemented the deal She and her staff made my feel like royalty! I would never stay in another hotel again, while in Brissels! Clean, large, and well appointed rooms! Perfect location to Grand Place and Train Station! You get more than you deserve for the Hotel.com price! PS... Feeling lazy? Try Chutney's down stairs... great food and perfect service for the money. Thanks again and see you soon!!!

I like this hotel, it's in a great location near the Grand Place and Gare Centrale and the rooms are on the small side but nicely furnished and clean. However, especially on a weekend night, it is incredibly noisy as there is a nightclub and a casino across the road and there is shouting, fighting and car horns blaring in the early hours of the morning.

The hotel was in a great location 2 mins from the central station and Grande Place. Hotel staff very friendly and spoke excellent english. Room was clean and was serviced every day eventhough we slept in till late one day. The tv had about 7 chaneels in english including bbc1 and bbc2. Our room no was 424 which faced the front entrance. We didn’t realise till late in the evening that there was a night club across the road just outside our window. There was loud music each night of our stay (Friday Saturday and Sunday night) I would stay at the hotel again but request a quiet room!!!!

This was the best hotel during our 3 years in Europe. They went out of their way to make our stay great. The even upgraded our room to a Junior Suite, free of charge, to ensure we had enough room for our daughter. The rooms were excellent in every respect. The hotel is nicely located near the main sights and an easy walk to the tour best pickup. Several places to eat right around the corner, from formal dining to quick eats. Can't recommend this hotel any higher. The negative would be the hotel breakfast is way over priced, but there are other places to eat right outside the door.

We went for a romantic weekend away, and it really was ideal. Perfect location, beautiful common areas, immaculate room and very helpful staff. EUR10 cab from the Eurostar station, 2min walk to Grand Place, 5min walk to Centraal Station (Metro). Highly recommend to anyone.

If you need a business-level hotel located near the Grand Place, this is it. Excellent service, well-maintained facilities, well-situated to numerous tourist attractions.

This hotel is ideally located in between the Central Train Station and the Grand Place. Easy to walk into the city's tourism center and close to great restuarants. The room was very nice, large size for Europe, good view and well appointed as should be expected in a 5 star hotel. Though I would recommend the hotel to others, a word of caution: I had two rather challenging incidents that did not receive my satisfaction when it came to the front desk staff. The first was in regard to a leaking toilet. I explained both in French and once in English that the tank above the toilet was leaking quite a bit of water on the floor each time the tank refilled. They said they would send someon from maintenance right away. After contacting the desk twice, the toilet was still never fixed. Second issue: We were to stay two nights and upon check in, I was asked to sign to verify my check out in two days time. I chatted with the staff about our plans to continue to Paris upon departure via train. I then spoke with the concierge about city tours and a possible day trip to Bruge via train or bus on our departure day. The concierge happily obliged me with information and offered to book my tours then and there. I discovered the next day through a random comment from our tour guide that all the trains, bus, metro service in all of Belgium were to be shut down due to strike the following day... the day of our intended departure AND train trip to Bruge. This had been a planned strike for some time as I discovered in news reports on the internet, but not upon check in nor in conversation with the concierge, nor in the train station, was there any indication of the strike or any information about accommodating stranded travelers. At the station at 4pm, we discovered the train service was to stop at 10pm that very night and remain offline for the entire next day. Hotel is overpriced and very unfriendly staff. Location is great. The staff is not familiar with surrounds and everyone had a different direction on how to get to things or recommendations.

Very close to the Central Station. Hotel was beautiful, and service was great. The room heat was not working well, so we felt cold all the time. The phone was not working either, but they sent someone to knock our door for the wake up call as promised.

Superb hotel in the perfect location from which to explore Brussels. The concierge is the best and most knowledgeable I've met. Always start with him and your day is assured to be excellent.

This was a great hotel. It is very close to the Grand Place (walk out of the hotel, turn left, turn left again and you are essentially there) and it is the most convenient hotel I have ever stayed at - but not so close that you get all of the noise associated with it. It was so nice to both be able to sleep at night and walk back during the day to get something from the room or to grab a jacket or something else that is much more painful when you are further away. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a Casino across the street but it never bothered us a bit, even when we opened the windows for a bit of fresh air. The hotel was nicely air conditioned, had a large bathroom (especially for a European hotel), the living area was large (again for a European hotel), and the bed was comfortable by any standard. The rate we got was extremely reasonable - better than worse hotels further away from the Grand Place - and that was for a festival weekend! That was the hardest thing to believe when booking on-line and I kept expecting there to be a catch. But I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel after spending a few days there. I won't stay at any other hotel in this part of Brussels again if I can help it.

Very close to Gare Central which is only 1 stop from Gare Midi where the eurostar comes in (or a 20 min walk from Midi). Location is excellent for walking around & seeing things. Hotel was very nice - no complaints about our room.

We stayed in the Royal Windsor with my parents and two little children. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating when I called ahead with our requests for two baby cots and adjoining rooms. But the best thing about this hotel is it's location to Grad Place and all the great restaurants and shops in the surrounds.

The hotel is an older, luxurious building with old-fashioned, English-style service. That said, at checkin we were told breakfast was included in the rate. Breakfast is a buffet, quite expensive. In checking out, we were presented a bill for the breakfast. As we told the front desk manager, we would have gone elsewhere for breakfast if indeed it were not included. I prefer not to think this were an underhanded ploy to make some money given we had a nice weekend rate.

This is the perfect Brussels hotel! The hotel is within a few minutes walking distance to everything you would want to see in Brussels, and only a block from the Grand Place. It is surrounded with great shops, cafes, restaurants, and pubs. The room was extremely comfortable and clean.

Perfectly located hotel, close to the Grand Place, good comfort, night club on premises on Saturdays. Internet operated by Swisscom, way too expensive!! Hotels.com should post the cost of the internet connection on the hotel's page, so we could avid paying ridiculously high amount to be connected.

Central location, comfortable beds, nice decor, great shower. We had an excellent stay.

Unless you are night owls (like us) make sure your room is not above the nightclub.
