Michelangelo Hotel - Milán

Really enjoyed the breakfast, reasonable price.

We concluded our Italy trip by spending one day in Milan before flying out of Malpensa airport. Michelangelo Hotel was perfect for this purpose! The train station was right across the street, as was the metro (the ride was only a few minutes to the Duomo) and the shuttle to the airport. So convenient. Additionally, the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful...and the hotel amenities were bountiful considering we were in Italy. The rooms were large and comfortable, as was the bathroom - complete with a whirlpool tub. An extensive breakfast served every morning was an added bonus. I highly recommend this hotel!

I booked this hotel, even though previous reviews stated that it was in a shady part of town. We needed a place to stay overnight between France and Cinque Terre Italy. You are literally less than 100m from the Milano Centrale train station which was great. We arrived just after dark and I did not feel unsafe at all. You can almost see the front door of the hotel when you exit the train station, and when we looked around the next morning, the location seemed just fine. It is not the best part of Milano, but I surely did not feel unsafe. As for the actual room, Hotel Michelangelo stood up to rooms I have visited at several Ritz Carlton Hotels. The staff was also very nice and spoke fluent English. The room was very well kept and very clean with lots of cool amenities like automatic blinds that can be open or closed from the bed. Lastly, the continental breakfast was one of the best we had on our trip. Lots of fresh fruit, meat and carbohydrates to choose from. Most Milano attractions easily accessible by a short walk to the train station to catch the metro. I will definitely stay here again if I return to Milano for a night or two.

Hotel offerred a good breakfast that was included in rate. Clean room and very close to central train station/subway. Decor is from the 80s but for Italy and price this hotel was a good deal.

my partner and i had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel michaelangelo.it was easy to find coming from the station.the staff were very helpful and polite.the hotel was clean and the breakfasts were very good with a great selection.i would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone going to milan

From the airport a bus to the Central Station every 10 minutes. The Hotel is right across from the station. Very modern and commodious room with all the accoutrements. Small dining room, but very nice free breakfast room. Could use a concierge to help plan touring.

only two working computers, the rest are not working, it was really bad news for me.

The Hotel was very comfortable and clean with an outstanding breakfast. It is very close to the Train station and a Metro stop. The Metro station is just minutes away from the Duomo, the Gallery Vittorio Emanuele, including good restaurants and shopping. Reasonable express bus transit to/ from the airport is available via the adjacent train station. The hotel serves a good dinner but a bit expensive. However, recommend to avoid dinner in the neighborhood around the hotel as it does not feel safe.

I stayed at the Michelangelo for 1 night to catch the train again the next day. Great location for this purpose. This is the only hotel I have ever taken a bath in. Great Jacuzzi tub. New, clean. Just what I needed between trains. Area was questionable. I was alone and came across many scary people. Cabs were expensive. Metro worked well.

I was a bit scared of my hotel choice when I first drove past the front of the hotel (awning damaged etcc ) but was very releived when I checked in. The room was lovely, clean and the facilities were excellent. We could not speak Italian but the staff went over and beyond to understand what we wanted to do and provide directions etc.. Would definitely stay here again if staying in Milan.

great location, clean rooms and good size. only down side is service, but i guess that's expected from italians... we had to wait more than 10 minutes at reception to be checked in even though there was NO ONE in front of us. the reception guy just kept at his filing before he FINALLY noticed we were there... other than that, everything was great, great breakfast too. make sure you make time in the morning to eat!!

The hotel is literally just steps from Milan Central Train Station. Rooms are terrific, staff is excellent and they serve a great, free breakfast that includes hot foods as well as normal buffet items. Jaccuzzi tub is just a topper! Only negative is that there's no internet in the rooms but there is free internet access in the hotel's bar. Would definitely stay there again!

A wonderfully-run hotel with an exceptionally helpful, professional, multi-lingual staff. We picked it for its proximity to the train station, but found it more comfortable, attractive, and sophisticated than we'd expected. We had an excellent lunch there, a buffet in the bar with a very hospitable lady in charge. The only deficit, which is astonishing in a hotel catering to business travelers, is that there is no wi-fi in the rooms, and though there are 3 or 4 computer terminals available to guests, at least one of them wasn't working. And who wants to come down to the lobby late at night to check email? If you need internet access, this hotel is seriously handicapped. If not, it's a fine place, clean, surprisingly quiet, and pleasant.

THIS HOTEL IS ADJACENT TO THE TRAIN STATION. THE STAFF WAS EXCELLENT AND SERVICE AND AMENITIES OUTSTANDING. THE INCLUDED BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT - A TRUE BREAKFAST BUFFET - MANY MEATS, EGGS, FRUIT, PASTRIES, JUICES, CHEESES, ETC.

We were on our way home from our stay in Italy and realized we needed one more room for our family. We booked that room at the Michelangelo. I don't know how I overlooked this amazing hotel when I was looking for places to stay near Milan Centrale Train Station. It's a high rise hotel that's within a block of the train station. It was clean, comfortable, and totally modern. The complimentary full breakfast was wonderful with many hot items and fruit to choose from in addition to what you would normally expect. I loved this place. My only regret is that the rest of our family were already booked elsewhere and didn't get to enjoy such a nice stay.

This is a very comfortable hotel, very well managed. It met all our needs and more. Hotel staff were very helpful and efficient. Although it looks as if it caters mostly to business people, the hotel suited us as tourists extremely well. Its location opposite the main train station was also a plus. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is VERY convenient to the central train station/metro but it is not a great area of town. I thought the price was high but the room was nice and the hot breakfast was excellent.

excellent location next to the train-station, couple good restaurants nearby (Panzer is one), breakfast buffet at the hotel is excellent, service also very good. Front-desk ladies were excellent the guys were a bit surly, room very comfortable -well stocked minibar (free!).

I booked this hotel because it was near the train station and the bus drop off from Malapensa airport, hoping for the best. I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is a short 2 block walk from the bus drop off point, easily walkable with a large (huge) pull along suitcase and a carryon. Having arrived early morning (9am), we were immediately given a room which had a queen bed and comfortable, clean bathroom, all you can want after a long flight. Total surprise - the minibar snacks, including water and soda are free! To get to the sights in town, the subway is a block away, either line is accessible. It was quite clean and safe, although we were warned of pickpockets so were in control of our money at all times. After two days, another short walk brought us back to the bus to the airport.

The hotel was small compared to Amercian standards, but comfortable and efficient. Only two elevators worked at the time, yet the hotel staff was extremely courteous and spoke good English, the hotel is in great location, just across the street from the train station and metro. Breakfast was included, the buffett was laid out nicely with plenty of fresh fruit and other products.

Not too bad a hotel, but we were shocked to find out that items had been taken from our room, including a mobile phone. Since there was no sign of a break in, it would appear that someone from the staff would be responsible. Wouldn't recommend staying for more than one night.

Stayed 2 nights during a weeklong European trip. Room was extremely spacious and bathroom was great. Large whirlpool tub and mutiple shower heads. The beds were very firm. Staff spoke very good english and breakfast was very large. Staff gave good recommendations for local resturants, however they were pricey

Its the second time I stayed at the Hotel Michelangelo, mainly due to its proximity to the Central rail station, taxis nearby, and vicinity to Linate airport. The service at the hotel is first rate. I hope they never change. Checkin times are early in the am so no need to wait until the pm for your room, therefore perfect for business travel. The rooms are comfortable and the entire hotel is very clean. It should serve as a model of how all hotels should be run. Free mini bar well stocked with water, sodas and nice snacks. Continental breakfast included as well. I would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a hotel in Milan and would gladly go back again myself.

Look no further, this hotel has it all! Awesome location one block to the Central Train Station. Early check in was wonderful. Large rooms with cold A/C. Very comfortable beds, and large bathroom w/jacuzzi tub. Lots of storage, refrigerator,and safe. Very quite, and best of all the breakfast was incredible! Cappuccinos, eggs, fruit, fresh squeezed OJ, you name it. The front desk was very helpful with a recommendation to a great sea food restaurant.

Very good breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice. Further from shopping than I thought and the neighborhood was not that great.

The strongest feature of the hotel is that it is located close to the train and subways stations.

The hotel was very close to the train station so getting there was easy. It's a little far from the tourist sights is within a short cab ride. Overall the staff was very helpful and breakfast was included.

Fine room with two chairs for sitting, good AC, modern conveniences, very nice bathroom; provided needed, modern break from older, charming places to stay

Like most European hotels, the beds are small and the amenities are basic, compared to similarly priced hotels in most US cities. But the location (directly across from the train station) is excellent; the service is friendly and efficient; and the room was clean and large, by European standards. The biggest con: ashtrays in the room indicate that it wasn't non-smoking, although there wasn't a strong odor, so it didn't create a problem. Biggest pro: Breakfast was tasty and included amazing cappuccinos that made the jetlag retreat. Overall, I'd recommend the hotel, if you want something a step above "budget" within easy walking distance from the train station.

If it had high speed internet in teh rooms it would be perfect.

Fantastically located right across the Centrale Stazione the bus drops you off and a porter picks up your luggage and brings you back on your departure as well....makes life so easy! also this station is one of the metro stops so late at night 1-2-3 and you are home! Very comfortably decorated and clean as a whistle.....

We flew in to Bergamo, then got the coach to Milan central station. The hotel was idealy placed about 100 m from the station. Checked in, nice friendly staff made us feel welcome. Room was a single but spotless and very nice, free mini bar (no alcohol) was a nice touch. Also sky tv and electric curtains! We ventured out to the corso como which is 5 mins in a cab, lots of resteraunts and bars plus 3 big night clubs, loolaplaloosa (forgive the spelling) but generally something for everyone close by.Breakfast was excellent, good choice and seemless check out. What more could u ask. Brief visit but will return next year. p.s. There is a gentlemans club a five minute walk from hotel called the dolce vita. Dont bother its a total rip off, we received same advice from fellow traveller)

We enjoyed our stay here. The room was small but had everything we needed - and then some. Room service was great and the bed was comfortable. I would recommend this hotel for business more than pleasure. It is across the street from the Central Train station which is great when you are passing thru Milan.

Perfect location for transport links to and from airport. Good position next to train station for travelling into Milan by metro and overground train to Lake Como. Hotel very comfortable, good sized rooms, clean, good breakfast and friendly staff. Bar very expensive!! 12 Euros for a Vodka & Tonic!

Stayed for two nights in August. Hotel is within sight of the Malpensa express transfer bus. Rooms spacious clean and more English 5 star than 4 star.Breakfast selection excellent, orange juice freshly squeezed, pastries, fresh fruit cheese and cooked meat in abundance. Concierge very helpful for directions.
