Very clean and affordable. Excercise, enjoy the pool, nice breakfast, super clean rooms, and affordable. Great for families or work crews.

Very neat & clean; accomedating in every way. They accept pets, however, little area for dogs to "do their business". But still worth the stay.

When visiting our daughter at Berry College, we stay at hotels in Rome based exclusively on price and location. This time, the HOJO won out. On the location meter, for access to Berry College this property is a "10;" for the price, which was LT $50, it is perfectly fine. The property is not particularly noteworthy. The beds are average/ok, the pillows are average/ok, the decor is average/ok, and the bathrooms are average/ok. The rooms are spacious. If you aren't particularly fussy, the Rome HOJO is perfectly ok. The ultimate commentary is that if this property is the low cost motel in August, we'll return. We might just bring a more comfy pillow from home though.

We stayed in the Howard Johnson Express Rome for 2 nights in March. The people at the check in were very friendly and courteous. The free continental breakfast was pretty skimpy (coffee, juice, cereal) but for the price I was very happy with the hotel. I must warn you that should you be staying in the summer, the pool is above ground and rather small.

I was in Rome for a conference and wanted a cheap, centrally located hotel. This was excellent!! Great location, great staff, and the room was very big!!

I could not cancel my reservation or get my money back so I slept in a hospital chair for 2 nights as I visited a relative rather than the smelly motel. The front desk area has a strong odor, I doubt the owner is aware. The room has a more faint simiar smell, but bad. The shower curtain smelled very strong sour mildew odor. The toilet paper is light gray recycled, never seen such poor quality. I paid for 2 nights but never slept in the bed, rather slept in hospital chair and only used room to shower. I could not get a refund, so just tried to get in and out quickly.

The room was clean and adequate for the price. The air conditioner leaked water into the carpet so it was wet by the A/C. The bed was comfortable enough but the pillows were very small and could have been better. There was only enough coffee in the room for one 4 cup pot so with 2 of us in the room we ended up buying some to have. Not bad for the price, older hotel that could use some updating but adequate for a weekend stay.

Rooms were very clean, beds comfortable, and had all that we needed from new iron/ironing board to mini fridge & microwave. Great location for visiting Berry College!!

The room was spacious and service was good, better than I expected for the price.

This is an older motel. Single story where you park in front of your room. Though the beds were comfortable, and the room was clean, the place had a run down feel to it. Plumbing very old. Cigarette burns on the tub and commode (in this nonsmoking room). The free continental breakfast was basically a banana and a cup of coffee. The price was cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for. We stayed here because we could not find another room in the area. I will likley not use this hotel again.

The hotel staff were great, the room was fine except for the smell. It seemed to smell of tobacco with a heavy dose of cleaning fluid. It got in all our clothes and in our hair. The hotel was full so they could not move us. If it had not been for the smell I would have rated this hotel much higher.

Make sure you bring your own towels. Make sure if you specify non-smoking that you get that on check in.

I think the hotel desires better than 2 stars. It was very quite there with no noise from the street at all even though it was Saturday night.
