This hotel was not TERRIBLE, but it was not what I was expecting. The room had 2 twin beds pushed together instead of a large bed and the A/C did not work. Though I reserved a balcony room I was not in the system for a balcony room and had to finagle one. The area that the hotel is in is not that nice and it is a considerable distance away from the main areas. Although I did not want to be right in the middle of everything, I much preferred my stays in subsequent hotels in other neighborhoods of Paris. The fire alarm went off twice while we were here making it a very noisy hotel (the kitchen sets the alarm off frequently). I would recommend staying in a different hotel unless you don't mind these inconveniences.

Enjoyed our stay here. Staff were helpful. Good location (after we found it!). Was our first time in Paris so had some difficulty finding it. Ended up getting a taxi after a while trying out the metro with no luck. once we got our bearings found it easy to get to though. Supermarket right across the road and plenty of places to eat/drink.

The Hotel Auteuil Tour Eiffel is a good value overall, especially for those travelers who don't mind walking or talking the Paris underground metro to travel into the main tourist sites of the city. The one major drawback that I had with the hotel was that our room was on the first floor, right above the kitchen and dining area, which meant that you could hear lots of noise beginning at 6:45 am. I am sure that this would not be a problem for guests staying on higher floors.

The hotel served its purpose and hosted us (newly weds on a honeymoon) in Paris. Though reviews claimed that the hotel is close to the Metro, expect a walk of about 10 minutes. Also, even though reviews claim many cafes dot the area, none were the type to write home about. We, as vegetarians, faced an extra hurdle trying to find food and this area was pretty hostile to us. There were other places to eat in the city (like Montmarte) but after the first day, we learned out lesson not to try any of the neighborhood cafes. Of course, this does not in anyway affect the hotel's traits. The staff were courteous and the room was cleaned daily. The room had a digital safe where we could keep our passport and cash. The best part is that it was very close to a station from where one would catch a bus to the Beavais airport to fly Ryanair. I would definitely stay here again if I wanted to be close to the Eiffel tower. But if I wanted some more life to the evenings, some more joi de vivre, I would pick another area.

This a splendid, reasonably priced and fairly centrally located hotel with nearby metro and railway links, a block away from Eiffel Tower. Reasonably sized room, quiet location and very clean. Reception staff very frendly & helpful with assistance on internet connection (french keyboard made usage tricky) and with providing extra bedcover (we stayed in February and overnight room temperature was cool). We would definitely stay here again, especially on their pay for three nights, stay for four nights promotion.

Comentado por Paz, deLos Angeles, el mar 11, 2009
The hotel itself was great for the price, the room was gigantic, especially for a room in Paris. Full queen bed with a sitting area with a table for tea and a couch. As far as the specifics of the hotel, I have no large complaints. The only reason I am not recommending it is because of its location. It is near the Eiffel Tower, but besides that, it is near nothing really. There are only a few restaurants/shops near the area and they are just typical Italian cafes. If you have a car or know Paris and French pretty well it is easy to get around with the buses and metros but you will not be able to walk anywhere besides the Tower. If you want to be able to walk to areas of night life and restaurants this is not the hotel. If you want a very quiet hotel away from everything then this hotel is probably great for you. Also, the TV only has 2 English channels and 1 had no volume and the other CNBC was extremely fuzzy and I hope you enjoy hearing about stocks and the finance industry. The desk attendants at the Hotel do not speak very good English and I did not find them very helpful for restaurant advice and such so do that all on your own. They did however help me pick which buses to take but I eventually just uses the Paris metro website and used their itinerary planner. I never ate at their "restaurant" so I have nothing to say about it.

Stayed here for 2 nights over a chilly weekend in Feb. Is only a 5 minute walk from the nearest Metro which has a frequent service - so easy to get to. Room was pretty basic, but clean and bathroom was immaculate. The only downside was the food in the restaurant. Initially it looks well priced but when it arrives its pretty clear food was microwaved. Anyhow, one small remark on an otherwise enjoyable stay, I would recommend.

We stayed in a Superior Room, although I don't actually know what it reffered to. It was not too big, not to warm, although it was indeed clean. We did not find the staff particularly helpful (the bar staff did not speak english), we were only welcomed into the hotel after they made sure they took our credit card details ('just in case we were to take anything from the mini bar and leave without paying') and the money for the parking (16/night, although in the hotel description this was not stated). The gym was not available for use (refurbishment) and the internet was only available from the bar through wi-fi. It was however next door to a Supermarket and maybe 20 min or so walk to Eiffel Tower.

Really pleased with the hotel, certainly value for money. The bar and lounge were very modern and the rooms clean and spacious. All staff spoke very good English and were more than willing to help with any problems. We did not opt for breakfast and had room service one evening which was the only disappointment. There is a supermarket less than one hundred metres down the road opposite the hotel and the nearest RER station is a five minute walk to take you anywhere you need to go (just one stop to the Eiffel Tower). Great location, great hotel (for a 3*) and perfect for a few days away to see the sights of Paris.

Having stayed in Paris on many occasions I was a little nervous about this hotel as it was very cheap in comparison. The rooms could do with a little face-lift but for the price you can't complain.

Stayed at this hotel for availability at the time we needed. Got to the hotel room which was hot. Tried to put on air, like it said on the internet. There was no air. The hotel person said that when it is cool outside less air inside. That it was monitored. We basically had to keep the window open, which didn't help with sleeping since there was cigarette smoke coming in at certain times along with other smells and street noise. The bed was literally ON THE FLOOR. The walls were thin since we heard of the escapes in the room next door at 3 am in the morning. On the upside the room was very large for Paris. The proximity of this hotel to the Eiffel or seeing the Eiffel at a distance was wonderful. The bathroom was very roomy and bright. Downfall was there was no shower curtain but a half glass wall door that made for a lot of wet floors. The staff was somewhat helpful. There is a Metro station 5-10 minutes away. By the way if you haven't been to Paris, do ask and research the Metro. It is hard and difficult to understand. Took us mid-week to get. Starbucks is on the fancy street of Paris. There are McDonalds. Research, research, research.

This was my second trip to Paris and I was traveling to Paris. A travel on a tight budget and look for good value in a safe location. Value and location far exceeded my expectations. Free wireless internet in the lobby. The room was basic but very clean. When you are in Paris you need to be seeing the city not spending the day in your hotel room. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. In addition there is a grocery store thirty seconds from the front door. Can be a little tricky to access from the airport. Be sure and take the B RER from Charles De Gaull aiport to St. Michael/Notre Dame station. Once there change to the C train which ends at Pontoise. I believe the trains name is NORA. While in route to Pontoise get off at the President John F Kennedy station. From there it is just a few block west of the station. Look it up on mapquest and follow the directions from JFK station. If you get a little lost no big deal. There are much worse places to get lost than Paris. I'll be back.

We could see the Eiffel Tower from our room and enjoy the light show every night. If we go back to Paris, we will stay at the Auteuil. Rooms are spacious considering Europe standards. I did like this hotel first for the cleanliness, simple but clean. Visiting Paris early morning and late at night it was good for us (2 adults). Also the location was great, little stroll to the Eiffel Tower, close to the Metro. Great location. We had a GPS so easy to find. without GPS little tricky. Aware of the expansif breakfast but on Mondays difficult to find a "cafe shop" open so you may consider the hotel alternative. The other days no problem to find coffee shop close by open for breakfast cheaper.

The hotel is only a few minutes from the RER line (C) that goes to all the main tourist destinations (Eiffel Tower, Invalides, Musee D'Orsay, Notre Dame, etc), though the hotel is on the other side of the river from all these. The room was huge and the bathroom brand new, it seemed. Breakfast is very expensive but there are many great bakeries and cafes nearby to grab breakfast and lunch, as well as restaurants and a street market (some mornings, I guess). The walls were pretty thin so we had to listen to the late-night escapades of our loud neighbors.
