We stayed 3 nights at this hotel. They let us check in early, the room was inviting and the bed was super comfortable! Best part: the hotel's in walking distance to tons of restaurants/bars...as well as Sunset Blvd and the Beverly Center.

Located on Santa Monica Blvd, just off La Cienega this hotel is a must for anyone, like myself who can't drive. It's literally in the middles of a few very important shopping spots in LA (see my tips). The hotel itself is nice, the lobby is small but very cosy and has a boutique hotel feel to it. The room is clean, the air condition works great, the water pressure of the shower perfect, the bed very comfortable, pillows just right, the HD 32" TV is impressive. I didn't bring my lap top but imagine it would have been expensive, because the charge to use internet in the lobby is $1 for a minute. This is one thing they could improve on. Around the area is Beverly Center, Melrose/Fairfax and not too far to Hollywood/Highland. Line 704 bus will take you all the way to Santa Monica Pier, you can hop off half way for more shopping in Century City on your way back to hotel. Line 704 and 4 will also get you to subway station Santa Monica/Vermont, this is perfect for anyone who wants to explore LA but can't drive. Get a TAP card you can travel all day on the subway and buses for $5 all day. If you need to fill up the fridge there's Pavilions supermarket (turn right) or Gelson's (turn left on the other side of the road), both about 10-12 minutes walk.

The room is nice and comfortable. The flat screen TV High Definition is nice. Not much of a swimming pool and no sauna is only negatives. Neighborhood is nice. The $27.00 parking/night is par for the area. Overall would stay there again. Getting out onto Santa Monica Bl is difficult at times and going left forget it you have to go down a few blocks to hang a U-Turn. You are better off going right to Sunset blvd. It is close to many things in Hollywood. Santa Monica Pier is a Looong way away.

What a great hotel!! Conveniently located for easy access to sightseeing, great restaurants within walking distance. Starbucks right out the front door. Great area just to sit back and people watch. Hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The pool was small but lushly landscaped and a great oasis to relax at the end of the day. The rooms were clean, more than adequate and furnished with a modern tone. The hotel itself is a sort of eclectic retro flavor which in our opinion beats the cookie cutter setup of most chains. We will definitely stay here on our future LA visits and highly recommend this to others.

This hotel was fantastic. It was a little further than walking distance from where we wanted to go.(Hollywood Blvd, and Universal Studios) It's very close to a lot of night life though. The parking was a bit steep, $27 per night, but overall we were completely satisfied.

The good: hotel updated, nice room. surrounding area had a lot of great places to eat and drink. The bad: Very far from highway. front desk staff rude. computers were down when trying to check in (we were sent away). Have to pay for parking. If I am paying a fair price for a room I shouldn't have to pay an extra $30 to park my car.

I liked the hotel very much. For the most part I was very happy with everything except they charge everyday for parking your car in the garage. The parking fees were too much!!! They should offer a discount for hotel guests who stay for a certain number of days. Otherwise internet was free and the tv's were wonderful!

We have stayed at this hotel twice now and have enjoyed both stays. The staff is nice and often times ready to help but a few of them have "snooty" attitudes. The only other issue with the hotel is the cost of parking. It was $28 to park there for 1 night! To me, that's much too high. The rooms are nice (try the loft suite, I have stayed in both).

This hotel surprised me because it looks like a barn from the internet photos but I was pleasantly surprised. Huge mirrors in the bedroom and bathroom (read between the lines), flat screen TV, lush mattress and bedding. Has a pool and small fitness area. Just a mile or so from Rodeo Drive, block from Sunset Blvd, and minutes from Hollywood Blvd. This is my second stay at the hotel so it just depends on where you want to be once you land in LA. So many choices. I recommend getting a car. And for the record, I live in Washington, DC but there was no option for that since it's not a state! Go figure.

I had walked by the Ramada on Santa Monica several times and assumed that it would be upscale motel quality based on the exterior. Was surprised to find that my room had been recently renovated with tile, nice furnishings, and a large flat screen. Bathroom hadn't been renovated recently but was still fine.

For a hotel without a restaurant or a sundries shop, there was no room bar or other basic amenities. The Loft bedroom was up a double flight of stairs. No assistance was offered to carry luggage up these stairs. There was no direct access from the parking lot to the hotell lobby. It was necessary to navigate a steep entrance ramp, with luggage, to get to the hotel lobby. I do not recommend this hotel given the choices located nearby.

When it is time for the PARTY, I really want to stay at a hotel near the clubs and bars, and I mean that. I want to be able to walk around when my friends and I can drink and get drunk safely without driving. This hotel is really a perfect hotel at the West Hollywood location, but I guess I have to trade my convenience with the NO-STAR service and class of this hotel. My room was smelly with a kind of homeless smell, dirty carpet, motel-style closet (No-door), no storage space, etc. There were also hidden charges, such as daily in-room safe (out of order), and $27 car parking garage. The water from shower faucet was really dark brown color while my friend was showering on the second day of our stay. It freaked him out like crazy because he thought he was bleeding. We called the front desk and the maintenance many many time before they picked up the phone and said they would come to our room and check what was wrong. 20 minutes later, a so-called engineer came in and said it was a normal expectation when many people using hot water at the same time. There was nothing wrong. We took photos of the running dark brown water and showed him. He said we should not be so freaked out as it was expected as normal and we should take more photos when the water ran clear after we let the water flow for 10 minutes after he arrived. For him, it was absurd to take photos when it was dark brown. We should take it now. He laughed when he left our room. It seemed to us as if we never traveled, so we did not know what was going on. In fact, if this hotel was located in a desert without any technologies to purified the water, we may expect that to happen. However, at the beginning, it is located in the West Hollywood Gay area of LA, it is hard for us to believe that could happen. Hotel staff should be ready and able to explain and ensure hotel guests for their safety while staying in the hotel when there is something wrong happen, not make us feel belittled. Actually, what we should expe

This hotel was very nice. Great location and convenient. My only complaint was the Phone Fee and Safe/Vault Fee. I was charged for the 1-800 call for an airport shuttle, but the safe fee was waived when I said that I did not use it. Minor gripe, but overall the hotel was very nice. Would I Stay Here Again? - ABSOLUTELY As an avid reader of reviews prior to booking any hotel reservation, I wanted to make sure I left my positive review in order for others to enjoy this hotel as much as I did. Booked thru HOTELS.com - cheaper than Ramada website! saved $100! 30yoM out for some rest and relaxation. Booked a Loft (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)- room 305. Stayed 3 nights. Room was in excellent condition, nice hardwood floors, newly renovated with TWO flat screen HDTVs. Upstairs King bed was extremely comfortable with down pillows and comforter. Bathroom was in good condition but needed more counter space. Had an EMPTY! minifridge available to store drinks in. I found the room to be quiet and room temp was easy to adjust and maintain. Housekeeping was very nice and accommodating. Pool was cozy and enough lounge chairs for the guests. Everyone I met was having as great a time as I was :) All the staff were friendly. Since valet was same cost as self parking ($27) used valet all 4 days. quick service, secure location, friendly valets. Location is everything and this hotel was walking distance to ALL the action in WeHo. Bars, Clubs, Restaurants, Shops - easy to walk to, in a friendly neighborhood. Starbucks, Trader Joes, Liquor store, Coffee Beanery and IHOP in walking distance. Easy access to freeways to get to sixflags and airport. Close to major tourist spots and mall but need to drive. Met a lot of great people during my stay and WHEN I go back will stay here again. Enjoy! ;)

I recently stayed at the Ramada Plaza Hotel in West Hollywood, CA. The price offerred was good considering the amazing location however the rooms need some work. Basically, everything looked like it gets used extremely hard. The beds and linens were really comfortable and clean (very important). The bathroom needed a lot of work and there were a few little details that started adding up: faux leather on ice bucket was ripped, mini fridge was leaking onto the carpet, alarm clock didn't work, when I made a local call the static on the room phone was so loud I couldn't use it, the enamel was peeling off the bathtub.
