Really nice hotel, only 5-10 min walk from Venice boardwalk. Great buffet breakfast, nice pool area, outdoor relax area Gym and facilities. Would highly recommend this hotel!

Although the rooms do not match the shine of its commanding lobby, the hotel does offer a few perqs. Nice location, spacious though slightly worn rooms and very helpful and courteous staff. One warning: if you want a view with water, do not get an ocean view room get a room facing the marina. The ocean view room faces a parking lot with a small corner of Santa Monica in view in the lower left corner of the window. Certainly bot truth in advertising. I will say staff changed my room right away when I complained about this issue.

I rented 2 rooms one for myself and one for my handicapped parents for ease in seeing the fireworks on a boat in the marina. I called before arrival to ensure the rooms were the suites ordered and that they would be nice as I didn't know how many more 4ths my parents would have. The rooms were on the 2nd floor and had a view of the air conditioning unit and roof. The smell in the room was bad. There was a dirty coffee filter in the coffee maker which was located in the closet of all places. I requested information about best ways to get my handicapped parents to the fireworks and was advised by the concierge the main street would be closed and taxis couldn't come or go on the street we needed. She said we "might" be able to use the Marriot car for a ride, but when she checked, she said there was a wedding and she couldn't guarantee us anything. I was left to figure it out and took our rental car, which proved a disaster as we could not get back to the hotel after the fireworks, and had to drive through another city and then backtrack. I called the hotel from my cell and asked for assistance and they said they couldn't advise. This hotel has a pretty lobby, dirty rooms, bad food and a lack of concern for parties not related to weddings (their specialty). They may do weddings fantastic, but you will also pay $28 for parking your car in addition to the overpriced dirty room.

We were there on July/4. We got there very early in the morning to avoid traffic. They let us to check in so early with no problems. I love the location. Right across from the beach. We watched fireworks with no need of getting into "crazy traffic"...You can buy foods when you're in the pool!!!

The hotel was a very nice place. I would stay there again

This place used the courtyard as a "trendy" nightclub expierence and kept the terrible music playing too loud and too late. It echos through all the rooms on the courtyard side of this place for sure. The harbor side may be quiet but the city side was not...Avoid nights the club is open.

The room was clean. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. I will definitely stay here again if I am in the area.

The service and decor was amazing. The location was also great. Walking distance to the marina, resturants, and Venice Beach.

Arrived late to be told that my room was above the patio where a party with a DJ was going to play loud music till 2am. To be able to "upgrade me" to a quiet room I needed to pay extra. Very slow service to the room. My "upgrade" was an overprice room with a wonderful view of the parking garage.

Friendly helpful staff. Lighted Vanity mirror broken. Gym was exceedingly warm. Could only stay for a 20 min. workout. Air conditioner either not on or broken.

I have to say that the hotel is a pleasant place to be but I was overcharged for my room service and drinks plus the courtyard is a night club on weekends. The noise level was unaceptable. Enter with caution.

Our family of 4 stayed over the NewYear break'09 and enjoyed the facilities. Gym and pool were very well maintained.Lobby was topnotch. Didn't attend the happy hour but could hear the music/revelry from our 8th flr suite well into the night. Concierge was very attentive since we were travelling with young ones, we needed a fridge and they sent over right away. We needed to heat up something and they brought over a microwave. Will stay here again.

Unfortunately, if you book your hotel via a third party such as Hotels.com, you will not receive any Marriott Hotel Rewards points for your stay. You will receive points for anything other than the hotel charges. E.g., parking charges, etc.

The hotel and staff were great. Very nice room,great location.

The Lobby sets the tone for your visit. Guests are seated through out, talking, laughing, and dining.

This is the worst experience at a Marriott I have had. The staff was horible, they did not have a clue about waht was going on or seem to care if there was a problem. The first night we were stuck near the night club. The music was so loud that we could not hear the TV. We called for another room, and the said that they could not move us, but the music would stop at 11. It not only went on until well after 1am, it got considerably louder after we complained. They said they would move us the next night, they not only did not reserve another room they signed us out of the room we were in and the hotel was full and we almost did not have a room for that night. The hotel is not near anything, the staff could not tell us how to get to anywhere or seem to care if we got there. Everything cost extra, the internet, the parking (which you are forced to pay for valete). The food at the hotel was awful. There were not stations to watch on tv. It was a horrible experience, I will not be back.

Exceeded our expectations. We were very happy with our stay. The service was first rate and courteous. At check-out we mentioned in passing a minor inconvenience and it was addressed at once. We would definitely stay again.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was very clean and close to many of the area's shops with a small beach across the street. My only complaint was that the hot tub was cold; about the same temp as the pool itself. We stayed on the top floor and the view was great. The breakfast in the lounge was decent.

There was the constant noise of slamming doors and children running through the halls at all hours of the night. The room we checked into had clothes from the previous occupant still in the closet, shouldn't that be removed with their 'thorough" cleaning? TV did not work properly and no one ever mentioned the $26 a day valet parking until we were getting out of the car. Our room overlooked the valet parking lot and we were able to watch how the cars are raced around and not treated very well.

A little on the expensive side, but nice.

I was surprised to learn that the beautiful outdoor Glow Bar, which I was looking forward to experiencing in the evening, had a strict dress code (a la "Sex in the City"). There was no mention of this in any materials or brochures on this hotel. Thinking that its proximity to the beach would suggest a relaxed atmosphere, we didn't pack dressy clothes. My California relatives laughed, saying I probably found the only place in Southern California with a dress code! Valet parking is required @ $28/day.

Overall, a pretty good hotel. It is what you would expect from a decent Marriott. We reserved a room with two beds, but were given a room with a King. We were offered a roll-away bed, which worked out fine... an acceptable compromise for our 2 year old child. The room service food quality was surprisingly good. Don't pay $29/day for valet parking... park in the city lot across the street for $6/day. It is faster than waiting for the valet anyway.

Hotel bar over priced.The Hotel needs to tell its guest when they are having parties in the outdoor night culb the loud music runs til 2 a.m. if you like to sleep make sure your room is not over looking the club! Parking is not free ($26/day), And your not told ahead of time.Park across the street $3/day.

The sheets were thead bare and did not fit the beds. The toilet flushed everytime a neighbor flushed their toilet. The view was nice. The food in the lounge was iffy. The patio at night was lovely. The parking, front desk & bell captains were excellent.

The hotel is well decorated with an awesome outdoor bar/social area. My main complaint was when the hot water did not work and the only response from the front desk was that they would be out of hot water until the next day. No apology or explanation only "you won't be able to take a hot shower until the next day".
