Radisson Blu Astrid Hotel, Antwerp - Amberes

We really enjoyed our trip to antwerp, if you are looking for a lively, vibrant city to visit, then anthwerp has it all. The shopping in atwerp is really good with the affordable shops and the designer shops to suit everyones needs. The historic centre is really good and worth a visit as this part of town tends to be the busiest with all the bars and restaurants situted in the Grote Market area. There is a selection of restaurants to choose from, italian being the most available, but there are chinese and steakhouse restaurants to choose from. If you choose to stay in this hotel, be aware that you need to pack some flat walking shoes as the hotel is situated about a 20 minute walk to the historic centre through the shopping district, when you walk this distance 4 times a day, it certainly adds up. If you want to be nearer the bars and restaurants, then i would choose a hotel nearer the Grote Market such as the Hilton. This hotel was really nice and suited our needs, the only thing that we were dissapointed with was that the hotel charged for any extra tea and coffee condiments, which i had never seen before. You were given the complimentary 2 tea and coffee sachets, but had to pay for further sachets. I thought this was a bit un necessary as i thought this would come included in the price. Apart from that, the hotel is really nice, clean and upon arrival the receptionist gave us a map of the area and was helpful if we needed any assistance in exploring the city.

So close to the station and an easy walk downtown. However, as with most European locations near a train station, the immediate blocks aren't very glamorous if a bit seedy.

Good location for center. Parking is a pain but available usually. Nice comfortable rooms.

This is value for the money. The rooms are big, the location is centrally located and the staff are nice. On the downside, the bathroom stinks with male urine.

Great hotel! Great bellman. Great location. Great lobby bar. Convenient to train station, busses, everything. Highly recommend this top of the line hotel. Probably the nicest in Antwerp, and the price on hotels.com was also great.

Great Hotel, Great Staff. Don't make a mistake and turn left when leaving the hotel or you wind up in a pretty dodgy neighborhood. Compared to other hotels around train stations this is a 5 star.

No problems with the hotel - reasonable quality & central & about 1km walk from the main bar / restaurant area. Breakfast was good choice - though a little pricey at 20 euro

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The first was with my family in 2006 and this trip by myself. The hotel is clean and comfortable. There is plenty of shops nearby and it is a safe area. The train station is within a few meters which connects to all of Europe by Thalys and soon by EuroStar. The square in fromt of the hotel is under eternal construction but none of the noise comes inside. The staff is very attentive and the food is good.

This is not a 4* hotel. The rooms are dated, not very clean, and I was put in a smoking room in spite of a request for non-smoking. Room service didn't answer the phone, and I had to call reception to get hold of them. The restaurant was poor - both in quality of the food but also the service. It took an hour for our food to arrive. (Rare steak and fish - so not too time consuming). Generally, I would suggest staying in one of the smaller boutique hotels in Antwerp.

Very friendly and helpful staff, top to bottom. Good food (wonderful breakfast buffet!), clean and comfortable rooms. Overall, an excellent experience.

I was upgraded to an executive non smoking room without asking, receptionist was very efficient and friendly Would recommend hotel as for me excellent value for money paid and my early departure taxi was booked on time at six am and waiting for me in the reception

Went to Antwerp for the weekend at the beginning of February, and after much searching settled on this hotel. We chose it as it was seconds away from Centraal Station, and as we arrived by train it was ideal. Sure the hotel is around 20 minutes from the historic centre, but as you have to walk down the main shopping street to get there, it becomes an enjoyable walk anyway. For those who prefer not to walk, the hotel sits atop a metro stop and opposite a major tram stop, so you can easily get to the centre at night. I was slightly wary of picking a hotel near the central station, as experience in other major european cities has led me to think that these areas tend to be a bit on the seedy side. However, not once did we feel unsafe or see anything untorward, even returning to the hotel at 4 a.m! Can't comment on the quality of the hotel breakfast, as we chosse to eat at the organic cafe 5 minutes on the Meir. Similarly, we did not eat dinner, so cannot comment on the restaurant. The bar was a nice way to start each evening before heading into town. The room was really nice with huge kingsize bed and flat screen tv, my only complaint would be the size of the pillow, which were small and square, but this is just really a small issue, and would not stop me recommending this place. Overall, the hotel had enough style features to take it above and beyond the normal chain hotel standard. Would recommend it as a great base to explore a great city.

Good hotel: ideally located right next to the station as we arrived by Eurostar with baby/pushchair. Hotel restaurant has nice food but service is lousy. Hotel itself has fantastic, helpful, knowledgable service. Area is not amazing, although there are some ok restaurants - a very nice italian. Shopping is a short walk to the main shopping street which leads to 'shopping heaven' areas for the fashion conscious. Fashion museum was great and Diamond museum was dreadful. Room was fine - very nice - didnt try breakfast as it was expensive and we just went out to nearby delifrance (not the best one i've been too though). Great value hotel!

This hotel is in antwerp city centre not the more beautiful old city. The hotel is a modern hotel aimed towards the business/ conference guest. We had a good stay here it was clean and central and had everything you need it was just a little clinical for me I could have been in any country in the world.

Clean room with very comfortable bed and good storage space for clothing. Check in was slow and somewhat disorganized but the hotel staff is pleasant. Very convenient to Centraal train station with service to Brugge, Amsterdam, Brussels and many European cities. It is important to note that the Thallys is not at this station. If you have a lot of luggage you may need a cab. Otherwise there are frequent trains to the Antwerp-Berkin.

Cet hotel est idéalement situé près de la gare. Son plus est de bénéficier d'un spa et d'une piscine agréable mais un peu petite. Il est dommage que des peignoirs ne soient pas mis à disposition pour y accéder. Mais ce nous avons apprécié le plus est la fenêtre en forme d'oeil de boeuf qui donne à la chambre un design particulier et une vue imprenable sur la gare ou les toits des maisons anversoises.

Alles klopt in dit hotel, de ligging in Antwerpen, de service, het personeel, de kamer, wij zijn uiterst tevreden.

Mycket bra hotell, med spa avdelning, pianobar, mm. Enda negativa var väl att sängarna var något för hårda och frukostpriset...

Høflig og venlig betjening, der aldrig virker overdrevet og kunstig venlig. Egen parkering under hotellet med elevator til receptionen.

Uitstekend hotel. Doordacht ingerichte kamer, en binnen het eenheidsconcept redelijk smaakvol. Als nietontbijters (en haters van buffetten) hadden we geen ontbijt geboekt: dan is het prettig om zelf wat koffie en thee te kunnen maken. Personeel ongedwongen vriendelijk.

Bereikbaarheid per auto minimaal. Verlichting op gevel of dak belangrijk. Route aangeven bij bevestiging

Typisches großes Stadthotel, postmoderne Architektur, super günstig direkt gegenüber vom Bahnhof gelegen. Leider sind die Flure auffallend mit Zitrone beduftet - nichts für Allergiker -, die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, gut eingerichtet, im Business-Zimmer gibts auch - sehr nett: - einen Wasserkocher mit Tee, löslichem Espresse - besser die Hände davon lassen- und Hotchocomel (lösliche heisse Schokolade). Leider werden diese Dinge nicht täglich nachgefüllt. Schwimmbad und Fitneßraum sind ok, aber zu den falschen Zeiten geöffnet. Das Personal ist supernett, stets bemüht, aber leider nicht wirklich englischsprachig ... Die Duschen geben wirklich viel heißes Wasser. Unser Zimmer lag zum Innenhof und war deshalb etwas dunkel und bei geöffnetem Fenster war die Gesamt-Lüftungsanlage fürs ganze Hotel im Innenhof extrem laut. Preis für Frühstück (20 - 27 Euro) sind zu hoch, 20 m weiter gibts als gute Alternative ein Delifrance; Parken empfiehlt sich in der hoteleigenen Tiefgarage.

heerlijk weekendje Antwerp gedaan vanuit Astrid. Kinderen vonden zwembad en sauna heerlijk en verfrissend na een dag in de stad en voor het eten. Wij trouwens ook. We kregen een grote familiekamer waar het goed toeven was. Badkamer was wat verouderd, maar who cares.

Preis- und Leistungsverhältnis super.

Voor een zakelijk bezoek aan Antwerpen een uitstekende basis. Uitstekende prijs kwaliteit verhouding kamer met de geboden faciliteiten. Alleen kun je in een straal van 50 meter veel goedkoper ontbijten en eten aan het Koniging Astridplein of een zijstraat

ottima posizione, a 100 metri dalla stazione ferroviaria, fondamentale perchè in aereo si arriva a Bruxells per poi proseguire con treno. Non è nel centro storico, a cui si arriva tranquillamente con una passeggiata di 10 minuti. Hotel moderno, buon centro fitness con pesi e macchine per allenarsi, piscina coperta sufficiente, idromassaggio da 3 persone comode. Camere ben insonorizzate, (soggiornato in una executive) pulite, letti molto comodi. Prima colazione molto ricca con dolce, salato e frutta, unica nota da migliorare (accade spesso all'estero) il caffè !!

Einziger Mangel war, dass das Zimmer Sicht auf den Innenhof mit den anderen Dächern hatte.
