Nice hotel, nice staff, great location and great breakfast.

This is right in the middle of the Royal Mile, surrounded by bars and restaurants and very close to Waverley station. We stayed with a couple of friends who were were on the 1st floor at the front side. They were less less impressed than we were as the noise from the surrounding bars doesn't really die down until about 3.00am. But our room on the 4th floor overlooked a courtyard and, together with the view of the estuary in the distance was just outstanding. As ever, the room location is all important.

Was generally impressed with standard of room and hotel. We heard no noise from other rooms which meant for a relaxing time. Didn't use hotle facilities much so cant really comment on those but the (expensive) breakfast was very good and the bar fine for a quiet drink. Overall we were happy with our stay.

Enjoyed my stay in comfortable surroundings with all the sites virtually on the doorstep. A good focal point for the city.

Couldn't have asked for a better hotel; really impressed with the quality of the accomodation, the furnishings, the public areas, everything. It's also well located; right on the Royal Mile. It's a short walk to Princes Street and the Castle, although prepare yourself for an uphill walk! There's lots of bars and restaurants within a short walk; but if you fancy a drink in the onsite bar, it won't cost you the earth and the service is excellent. Would definitely stay there again; albeit as a bit of a treat!

Close from the castle, close from the station. The room was comfortable. Strong scottish accent of the receptionist . Anyway I rec. this hotel. I will prefer next time.

Overall good value for money

The Hotel is well presented and the staff are very helpful, They arranged last minute late night transport from the airport for us when our car hire company messed up and did not have a car for us. Everything ran smoothly and the experience was very enjoyable.

Hotel is very nice, room seems to have been recently redone (bathroom was excellent) - a couple of items weren't working - one lightbulb was burnt out & TV remote wasn't working (batteries?). But the room was very nice, nothing special but spacious & clean, modern decor. Lobby is very modern, check-in individual desks were manned by very professional staff.

Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, location is close to perfect.

This hotel is in a splendid location to see all the tourist haunts of Edinburgh.

the hotel receptions is very friendly and helpful, the room is very comfortable and clean; besides the hotel location is central and easy to get taxi from the hotel.

This hotel has possible the best location in Edinburgh for the price. However, the service and feel about the hotel was not particularly inviting. The is true partly because we traveled throughout Ireland and Scotland and found extremely hospitable hotels.

The toilet was leaking and noisy - never got the newspaper we asked for - stuck in the lift - not a 4* service but a very good location.

The hotel is located on the Royal Mile and easy walking distance to most popular sites in the city. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the service is to be commended. I will definitely stay there on future visits to Edinburgh.

Great hotel - nice, spacious room with comfortable furnishings. Service was a bit haphazard. Dial 1 and they take ages to pick up, they weren't familiar with some of the offerings in the hotel 'manual' in your room so ordering food was tough. Otherwise tho, absolutely great hotel for location and accomodation - very comfortable

Great stay in Edinburgh - the city is buzzing with the festival - and yet inside your room was silent due to the tripple glazing - would stay again - ace location with ample parking

Great location, good quality hotel, good breakfast!

Situated on the Royal Mile with easy walking access to almost everything you need to see in Edinburgh. Standard hotel amenities - no faults we could uncover except that concierge didn't know location of one of the tourist attractions in the very useful room guide - but they were very quick in rectifying their ignorance - whilst at the same time helping Tim Brooke Taylor to locate the theatre where he was recording 'I'm sorry I haven't a clue'. Would happily return here.

We like to return to the Radisson when visiting Edinburgh because of its location and because of the standard of the rooms. We were a little disappointed that we did not receive the morning papers we ordered (though reception sorted this out quickly when we phoned them). Would still appreciate ground coffee in the room (see previous evaluation). Liked the fruit and water you gave us on arrival. We might try another hotel on our next visit because we notice that other establishments of similar quality include breakfast in the price (which you don't). We do enjoy the buzz in Itchykoo, however.

My wife and I recently spent a night in this great old hotel. It's well located in the heart of the old town of Edinburgh and is a great base from which to see the major sights. Wish we could have stayed longer. Good value for money and a high standard. We had a room with views to the Crags and were able to park the car in their secure underground car park. A double bonus. We'd recommend it

The Radisson is a great hotel. It isn't a flash boutique place but if that is out of your budget this is a good alternative. The welcome was good and we were allowed to check in early which was a welcome surprise. It is situated in the ideal location for a visit to Edinburgh and the rooms are big enough and funky enough to feel like spending a little time in. The bathroom was cool and modern and had a great shower. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel but we did have a drink in the bar which is surprisingly cool. I'd definitely go back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Radisson. The room was of adequate size and cleanliness. The staff was very good both in terms of customer service and response to request for suggestions of places to eat in the nearby area. The recommendation of the Hotel Balmoral for traditional English tea was outstanding. In our opinion, it is the best place to stay if attending the Edinburgh Military Tattoo and if the Castle, Royal Mile, and other points of interest in that area are your focus. We did not eat in the hotel, so we can't make any comments re the food.

Good hotel with excellent location right in the middle of the Royal Mile. My only negative was that it seemed more geared towards the business traveler vs. a couple...But other than that it was great for the two nights we stayed. I might stay another place more romantic for a longer period of time.

Hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly and efficient. Free access to a computer and internet in the lobby was a nice touch. The beds were comfortable and the rooms had adequate lighting with the ability to adjust the heat or air conditioning to your liking. The hotel is very close and up steep stairs directly from the train station.

Very service oriented welcome, room was extremely clean, view from room amazing. Location, surroundings, restaurant, bar all in all perfect hotel both for leisure and for business.

Bra hotell og meget sentral beliggenhet. Vindu ut mot baksiden; to netter uten søvnproblemer. Kommer gjerne igjen en annan gang.

Høj, vedvarende pibelyd ødelagde nattesøvn. Morgenmad svarer bestemt ikke til, hvad vi tidligere har oplevet på Radisson SAS-hoteller. I denne priskategori forventes bedre kvalitet. Ingen toiletpapir ved ankomst (blev dog efterleveret af venlig service).

Vi lå 4 netter på Radisson SAS i Edinburgh, og beliggenheten var så sentral som det er mulig å få den. Rommet var stort og rent, med stor flatskjerm TV, nok skapplass og stort bad med laaaangt badekar og nesten 2 meter benkplass til toalettsaker.

Das Hotel lag super zentral! Die Zimmer waren sauber und schön, das Personal sehr freundlich und es gab ein riesiges Frühstücksbuffet! Wir würden jederzeit wieder hinfahren!

Meget bra hotell midt i sentrum av Edinburgh, lite trafikkstøy og servicevillige ansatte, ok rent på rommet men noe slurv ved klargjøring av rommet, noe som resulterte i at vi fant en brukt herresokk under senga. Litt lite lys på rommet da det kun hadde ett vindu. Hotellet var IKKE preget av slitasje eller forfall av noe slag og i strøket det lå i var det ikke noe problem å bevege seg i etter mørkets frembrudd. Kort avstand til alle severdigheter og butikker, lett tilgang på drosjer og annen offentilg kommunikasjon.

Dans le genre hôtel classieux, chic et sympa et très bien placé le Radisson SAS d'Edimbourg se pose là. A recommander à tous ceux qui peuvent se le permettre. A décommander à ceux qui recherchent le côté rustique.
