Wanted to stay in a hotel near railway station after my first visit to Venice in 2005 when we had to haul large suitcases over the bridge. Bellini certainly fits that criteria. The good things stop there. Room was dark and musky. Everything felt very damp and old. Bathroom didn't feel clean and there was a big leak of water from the shower area puddling under the sink. We had a room with no view at all, unless you consider looking over other roofs a view. TV was on the blink and got a technician to check on it only after asking at least 2 different members of the reception staff. Bed was so so...pillows a little too low. Very average overall. Main plus point is its proximity to railway station and good shopping and eating nearby and close to waterbus stop with services almost everywhere.

the hotel lobby is decieving because it is quite nice however when you walk out of your elevator to your room (we stayed in room 224- DONT STAY THERE) there is a very musty old water smell. The room is pretty shabby, the paint was peeling with rust at the corners. The shower water temperature fluctuates like crazy in the shower- definitely not enjoyable. The design of the room was like old grandma wallpaper style. On the other hand the location was really super convenient (two doors from S.Lucia train station) and the breakfast was nice.

You have to pay extra to have better accomodations. I can't imagine what a 3 star wou8ld be like in Venice. The people at the front desk were extremely helpful. The day shift was a bit better than the night shift. Location if you are traveling per bus or train was excellent. Did not use the food & bev. in the hotel.

2 minutes from the Train Station literally and near the best shopping in the area! The location is not nearby the San Marco Square area, but totally accessable by water "buses" or private water "taxis". Room and bedding were very clean and nice, but bathroom left much to be desired. It was very small and no counter to put personal effects. A/C worked fine, but windows had no screens so you could not leave them open due to mosquitoes...overall, good location and accessability. Did not serve continental breakfast, so was somewhat more expensive than other hotels, but area shopping alot more reasonable than near San Marco Square...the further away from the train station, the better the prices for leather, jewelery, you name it!

The Boscolo Belline hotel in Venice is in a great location. As soon as you get off the train, it's a 5 minute walk. Restaurants right in the area, access to the waterbus system is right there, shopping is right there, etc. They will hold your luggage after you check out so you can continue your visit to Venice and then pick up your bags when you are ready to get back on the train. ALl in all, a great experience.

This hotel far exceeded our expectations! It was beautifully appointed, extremely comfortable and the air conditioning was great! Some of the reviews mentioned the hotel was not convenient to tourist attractions but we found it to be very convenient because the vaporetto (water bus) stop is across the street, the train station and bus depot are literally steps away and the hotel is situated among many restaurants, trattorias, outdoor cafes and shops. The only way to truly see Venice is on foot! The most important advice that was not shared was the most economical and efficient means to arrive via the airport is a "land bus". The land bus is a 4 minute walk to the hotel. There are no bridges or steps to master along the way! If arriving by train it is merely a 2 minute walk. Compared to the many European hotels I have stayed in this is by far the best value for the money. You won't be disappointed!

Great and affordable places to eat right next to the hotel. The view from our room window was amazing. A beautiful bridge and shops everywhere. THE BELLINI IS A GORGEOUS HOTEL. THE LOBBY IS CLASSIC VENETIAN. MURANO GLASS CHANDELIER AND ALL. IT IS A BLOCK FROM THE TRAIN STATION WHICH IS GREAT FOR PEOPLE WITH AN EXCESS AMOUNT OF LUGGAGE. MY ROOM FACED THE STREET, SO IT WAS NOISY AT NIGHT. MY ROOM ALSO NEEDED SOME UPDATING. THE WING I STAYED IN SEEMED OLDER THAN THE OTHER WINGS. Stayed one night after our cruise was over. I researched where to stay for months. Don't do the same, just stay here!! It's fantastic. The room was gorgeous, clean and the bathroom was all marble! Wow. I am a true bathroom snob, and this bathroom set an all new standard for me. Not a speck of grime, mold, dirt Nada. I would consider eating off the floor. The front desk was awesome. They speak decent English and are very willing to help you book a tour if you want (and it's available). They also will take you (by private boat) to Murano island for the glass making tour at the factory for $5 Euro per person. Fantastic. Didn't eat in the dining room they had, but many did, so I'm sure it was good. If you are coming in from the bus terminal/train station, take the vaparetto just one stop (Ferrovia) over to the hotel. I know that sounds crazy to take it for just one stop, but if you are lugging luggage you will be glad you did since there is a giant bridge to get over to the hotel.

If arriving by train, there is no better hotel to choose in Venice. No need to ever take water taxi or vaporetta. Just walk out of the train station, head left and there's the hotel. Also, if you are leaving via airport, it is about a 10-15 minute walk up and over the modern bridge to Piazza Roma, which has direct bus service to Marco Polo. The hotel is quiet but a little outdated. Bed was large and sheets were comfy. Shower was hot but had no door or curtain so basically it soaked the bathroom. Internet was down when we were there and we did not have breakfast included. Don't spend a lot of time in your room, get out and see Venice. There is a great cafe with tasty coffee and lattes right outside the hotel. Gondola service across the street and decent food about 10 doors down. In terms of getting to St Marks, it is an easy 15-25 minute walk depending on your speed. And the scenery is great along the way. If you prefer not to walk, you can cross the street to the vaporetta stand. Rialto bridge is 10 minutes walk and Doge's Palace is maybe 30 minutes because of its awkward location in the city.

We liked the convenient location of the hotel and the lobby was lovely. When we arrived in our room, we were shocked. It was very tiny and outdated and had an undesirable view out the window. The desk people were not very friendly. In our "wet bar," there was one bottle of water in a very old refrigerator. For a four star hotel, the services were quite poor.

The hotel is very close to the train station, which means no bridges, which in Venice, is huge. Also, because it was by the train station, no matter where we were exploring in venice, we just had to follow the signs back to the train station, and we could get home. The shower pressure was lacking, but otherwise, the stay was perfect! (AC worked great!)

Upon leaving the train station in Venice, we were quite surprised to find how close the Hotel Boscolo Bellini was to the train station entrance. It is literally a 1 minute walk down the street, and is very convenient for short stays in Venice when travelling by train. With luggage and an early morning train trip, it was just what we needed. We were impressed with the condition of the hotel reception area as well as the decor, size, and cleanliness of our room. A pleasant touch was the turn down service offered by the hotel staff. We thought that this hotel was top notch. I would say that the only negative was the distance to the San Marco square - about a 40 minute ride on the water bus and about a 40 minute walk as well. It was a chore getting back to the hotel to rest before dinner and an evening gondola ride because of the distance. We ended up eating lunch and dinner close to the hotel to prevent walking a long distance back and forth to the square. (Though the stroll to the square is quite nice due to the scenery, boutique shops, and gelato hot spots) We managed to find a gondolier working late about 20 minutes away from the hotel, which worked out nicely for us. Overall, the hotel was excellent for a short stop in Venice. We were definitely not complaining about the short walk back to the train station from the hotel to catch an early morning train to continue our journey through Italy.

The convenience of this hotel is what drew us to it. Within about 2 minutes from the train station. You don't have to haul your luggage over any bridges, back streets or worry about finding the right vaporetto line. Very small, but comfortable room with a king sized bed. Outside the room was fairly noisy on the main street, but wasn't an issue when we wanted to sleep. A bit of a walk to the main attractions, but very manageable. There's always the vaporetto's just a few steps outside the hotel doors.

It was a easy walk, no stairs to climb with suitcases as is the case with many hotels. You get off the Water Bus and hotel is only a 2 minute walk. The hotel was clean, rooms were nice size, & the bathroom was tiled, roomy, with seperate shower. Its only a short ride to Mark Square. My wife and I will stay their again on our next trip. note: The breakfast is good and typical for Italy. It is competitive in pricing to other nearby places plus its convenient.

Hotel is literally 500 feet from the train which is great because Venice can be confusing. Our room was really nice, a bit tight, but that is expected. The bathroom was the best of any in my entire trip through Italy - large deep tub, marble walls and floor. Seemed very new. Only complaint is that the air conditioner blows right onto your face which is not good, so we opened the windows and were bitten by mosquitos.

My 20-year-old daughter and I stayed for three nights in a lovely room at the Hotel Bellini in Venice. The staff at the front desk were courteous and helpful. The elevators were tiny and we were surprised when the bell cap squeezed in with us, bringing along our three suitcases! Once in the room, we were happy to see that we were assigned a lovely old world style room with two twin beds pushed together. Initially it was made up as a king, but seeing that we were mother and daughter, the hotel staff insisted on remaking them up as two individual beds. The hotel location is next to the rail station (handy if you come by train), right behind the vapperto ferry stop, and a fairly short walk from the bus drop off from the airport. Be advised, however, that if you have heavy luggage, which I did, that you will have to go up and down a lot of steps on your way over the bridge(s) to the hotel from the other side of the Grand Canal. We decided to go over to Murano to see the glass blowing, so we asked for some suggestions from the concierge. At first she gave us information for a formal tour that seemed as though it was costly and would take most of the day. When we asked for further ideas, she gave us an introductory card to take to a glass factory that identified us as guests of Hotel Bellini. We took the ferry over to Murano and upon presenting the card at the factory gift shop, we were given a individual tour by a charming factory representative who let my daughter blow a piece of glass, explained the workings of the shop, and educated us about fine glass by showing us the inner sanctum of the glass showroom. As Hotel Bellini guests, we were treated well! The one negative...there was a smell on the first floor going toward the back of the hotel that reminded us of used kitty litter. We solved that problem by taking the front elevator! Believe the photos--the hotel and Venice were quite memorable. We would love to stay there again.
