Tonic Hotel Du Louvre - París

The staff was awful, rooms are very, very, very small. they are dirty, i had to clean up the toilet when we arrived. location is good, but that is all i have to say about this place. location is not enough of a reason to stay here! You can take the metro in paris anywhere very easily. get a quality hotel!

Easy Metro access and one stop from Gar du Nord. Very close to the Louvre, shopping etc. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and, although not large, quite adequate if you are out for most of the day. Lift to room was very small, but efficient. Breakfast dull and, we felt, expensive but many cafes nearby for the more adventurous. Good eating out places everywhere.

Hotel reception ok and helpful, location great- 5 mins from Louvre. Room basic, bathroom basic- very tired.Shower didnt work, the controls were faulty. Room needed decoration- but clean and ok. Don't bother with breakfast here- much better elsewhere. Wouldnt return- but ok for the one night we stayed.

The staff there is great, very friendly and gave great advice that helped a lot. However the hotel itself is very rundown. My room smelled very musty and I had to keep the windows open the entire time.

Good hotel, great staff, clean rooms, nice bathroom, extremely close to the Louvre, shopping, metro, restaurants. A bit noisy, but not terrible. Perfect hotel if you all you need is a place to sleep. Best for sight seeing and shopping.

This was our first time in Paris, so we did not spend a lot of time in the hotel. Apart from that, the hotel is lovely, our room was very comfortable, the staff were very friendly. The only down side, was, in the middle of both Fri. and Sat. nights, we were woken up by revellers leaving the pub next door.

...but not by much. This isn't a *** hotel. + Very convenient location. - Room was tiny - no way it was big enough for two people. - Thin walls. - Tepid water, at best, in the bathroom. - The elevator was tiny. and old.

We booked a room months in advance and were surprised that they charged our credit card immediately. Our travel plans changed by 1 day and we tried to move our reservation. TONIC HOTEL DOES NOT HONOR ANY CANCELLATION POLICY. The place is run down and filthy. The staff was very rude and told me that I could not even speak with the manager! There are so many nice hotels in Paris within walking distance to everything, next time I'll book after I arrive!

This hotel was ok nothing to write home about. It was a good location, lift was small and scarey. Room was clean and tidy but was very small and dingy. Reception weren't too friendly.

Hotel was in an excellent location 2 mins away from the louvre and €7 in a taxi to the champs del elysees. staff were really helpful and gave us loads of info on anything we asked them.

Excellent hotel for touring. Main landmarks such as Musee du louvre and notre-dame de paris walking distance from hotel. Other attractions such as arc de triomphe, tour eiffel, champs elysees are easily reachable on the train. Great choice for food, all within walking distance from hotel. Average buffet continental breakfast served. Shops such as Gap, Zara, Body Shop etc are present within the hotel.

The hotel served as a short layover in a multicountry vacation. Our goal was to see the main sights of Paris and the location of the hotel was ideal for this. We could practically see the Louvre from our room and we were able to get everywhere else on foot. The Tonic was by no means a luxurious hotel, but it provided reasonbaly priced, comfortable place to sleep. Perfect for sightseers.

The hotel room faced the street and it was a little noisy. The breakfast provided with the price of the stay was reasonable, the room size was okay as was the bathroom size. Location - 2 blocks from the Louvre off of Rivoli was great!

I have to write that Tonic Hotel Du Louvre was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at! I will never ever go back there nor recommend it to a friend. The carpets were dirty with stains as well as the bed spreads. The pillow case came off and the actual pillow was covered in dirt. The drapes had holes in them. When my fiance when to sit in the chair inside the room he almost fell through it because he didn't notice it was torn through and when he went to notify the front desk so we wouldn't be charged, they said they didn't care. Our power went out the first night and the front desk person couldn't turn it back on and there were no vacancies. We had to sleep in a cold room with no heat, no entertainment, and be cold sleeping on twin beds. We found out the next afternoon (the staff said they would send a technician in the morning which was a lie) that he could have went into our room to switch on a breaker located in the closet. At least the second night when the power went out again, we were able to turn it on ourselves. This hotel is rotten. Do not stay here.

Very convenient location, 2 blocks from Metro/RER stations and good restaurant/bar options down the street. Friendly English speaking staff. Our triple room was very cramped and the air conditioning did not work. A bit pricey, but week dollar is partly to blame. There are two sections of the hotel with two entrances off of the street; one entrance through the reception/lobby area and the other, used to get to our room, through a small, unstaffed lobby. My wife was concerned about night time security since this entrance could be entered without using key.

Rates were good compared to what we see others paying. Very close to the main metro line "les halles" Very good local neigboorhood Weekend nights very loud bars close by rooms not air conditioned well so windows need to be left open

Paris is a great city, so I didn't really mind where I stayed. However, my room was not clean when I got there, there were personal items left over from the previews inhabitants and my shower was missing a door. The staff was very nice, but could not help us with directions or reservations or suggestions.

Our room was very cute with "French" windows, exposed brick wall and timber ceiling..very warm.

Air conditioning did not function properly, location was not as well situated as anticipated, customer service was not a priority.

Nice room, very helpful staff (bi-linugal) and a great location to start sightseeing Paris by foot. There is a wonderful cafe right next door, Madame ??? (I forgot her name) but she was very helpful and a wonderful chef. Good value for the location. Easy location to drive to with lots of public parking.

Tonic sits between 2 Metro stops and it has enough activity for many reasonable dinner or shopping options.

Beliggenheten var utmerket for oss som hadde kun kort tid i Paris. Metroknutepunkt rett rundt hjørnet, det samme var Notre Dame, Latinerkvartalet og stoppested for sightseeingbusser. Hyggelig betjening og grei frokost. Rommet vårt var lite og ikke noe spesielt, men rent og pent. Mer kan man ikke forlange av et hotell i denne prisklassen midt i sentrum av Paris.

Hotellet er et glimrende udgangspunkt for en tur til Byernes By. Det er ikke prangende, men tingene er i orden og alt fungerer fint Det ligger fantastisk centralt og i et af byens bedste områder. Vi kan klart anbefale det.

Mycket bra läge med nära till allt. Lovren som granne och Pont Neuf med Latinkvarterens härliga stämning och restauranger. Rummets storlek och standard motsvarar inte vad som utlovas på hemsidan men det spelar inte så stor roll om man inte har för avsikt att stanna på rummet hela dagarna och det har man ju inte när man är i Paris. Tunnelbanestationen alldeles runt hörnet. Frukosten kostade 15 euro vilket var att ta i med tanke på utbudet. Om jag besöker Paris igen skulle jag bo dock bo här med tanke på läget, servicen och renligheten.

Enkelt og greit hotell som ligger sentralt. Frokost kan anbefales. Hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening som snakker engelsk. Gammel bygning og ingen luxus på rommet, men rent og greit.

Wir hatten ein kleines Zimmer unter dem Dach zur Straße hin. Das Zimmer hatte bis auf einen Zimmersafe und einen Kleiderschrank , dafür ein Wäscheregal mit Kleiderständer alles , was wir für ein paar Tage Paris brauchten. Das Inkl. Frühstück war gut und bestand nicht nur aus Croissant und Marmelade. Die Angestellten sprechen alle Englisch, so dass es keine Probleme mit der Verständigung gab.Insgesamt machte das Hotel einen guten Eindruck. Wir können es nur weiterempfehlen und würden es bei einem weiteren Besuch wieder auswählen. Zumal es sehr zentral liegt.

Var hyggelig helt til vi skulle reise hjem, vi hadde bestilt hotellbuss til flyplassen da de anbefalte dette, da vi kom kl 17.45 fikk vi beskjed om at de ikke hadde en slik bil. Vi rakk derfor nesten ikke flyet hjem. De skulle prøve å selge noe de ikke hadde kontroll på. Anbefaler derfor ikke dette hotellet på noen måte

Trevlig personal, hotellet låg mycket bra för att se stan. Gångavstånd till mycket, bla Louvren, Notre Dame, St Michel-kvarteren samt sightseeinghållplatser. Gick bra att köra bil ända fram, parkeringsgarage i närheten.

Kiváló a szálloda elhelyezkedése. Két metrómegálló is 3 percnyi távolságra van. A recepciósok kedvesek, jól beszélik az angolt. A reggeli gyenge. Ajánlatos a szobát reggeli nélkül kérni a reggelit pedig a szomszédos kávézóban elfogyasztani. Olcsóbb és jobb!!!

I only spent one night at this hotel, but I found that the people in the reception were very friendly and service minded, and the room we got was spaceous and confortable! On the other hand, the people in the reception told us at check-out that we had watched pay-tv and taken drinks from the mini-bar, which was not true.. But luckily, they believed us! I would like to go back!

Très bon emplacement, mais il n'y a que ça. Mauvaise insonorisation des chambres. Salle de bain vétuste. Petit déjeuner buffet très cher pour peu de choix.

Gut geführtes hotel in einem älteren gebäude in zentraler lage

Walking distance from Les Halles, Louvre musemum, Latin Quarter. Short distance to Paris biggest public transport hub. In the heart of shopping street. Room a little run-down, but clean. Bath room OK. Staff friendly. Breakfast should be consumed at a cafe. not in the hotel.

petit hôtel très sympa, et surtout, proche de pas mal d'endroits à visiter

God placering nær Les Halles og Rue Rivoli lige i baghaven. Hotellet lidt slidt og madrassen hård men der er pænt og rent. Overraskende bød badeværelset på dampbad og boblebad.

Meget sentralt beliggende i en sidegate til Rue Rivoli. Et lite hotell med en hyggelig og serviceinnstilt betjening.

Fantastisk beliggenhed og skønt morgen ta´selv bord. Lille hyggeligt hotel. Pænt og rent.

Un hotel modeste mais super bien placé (plein coeur de paris)

Prima locatie, prijs oke, lift is behoorlijk claustrofobisch, maar voor de rest alles naar wens. Jammer dat we achteraf merkten dat we de borg van E20,- niet hebben teruggekregen!

Chambre minuscule, mal insonorisé et surchauffé Salle de bains à la propreté douteuse et vraiment pas pratique. Petit déjeuner cher pour la prestation, de plus l'expresso n'est pas compris dans le buffet juste un café filtre. Conclusion : A EVITER

Het hotel is zeer centraal gelegen op loopafstand van het Louvre, pont du neuf, notre dame en quartier latin. Onze kamer was klein. De bedden zijn smal, maar alles was heel netjes. Goed eenvoudig ontbijtbuffet.

Hotellet til denne prisen var meget bra. Desverre ble inntrykket totalt ødlagt av en meget uforskammet person i resepasjonen.
