Expo Hotel - Valencia

Well situated just north of the Turia, convenient to walk into the centre. Rooms were functional and clean, though walls between rooms were not well soundproofed, and being woken at 3am by the rhythmic racket of neighbours exercising their biological right to reproduce was not welcome. Reception was uniformly helpful, and everyone I spoke to was English-speaking. Breakfast was a scrum, and overpriced at 10 euros. Now the added extras: car parking cost a huge 18.5 euros/day at the car park for the commercial centre next door (shared with El Corte Ingles), approximately 50% again on the cost of my room, and internet access was a minimum of 2.5 euros per session. My advice would be not to use this hotel if you're taking a car to Valencia, and to think carefully about the added extras.

The hotel was great, well located. short walk to the city centre. Beside the park. There is also an el cort ingles and some restaurants beside it and a cinema and bowling alley 5 min away. the rooftop pool is amazing!

The Expo Hotel is close to the main part of the city, which is very convenient. It's about 15 - 20 minutes walking distance from the Plaza de la Reina, and only a few minute cab ride. The hotel itself is nice and the service is fine. The only 2 issues I found were that there are no safes in the rooms, and I was only able to get a room with 2 twin beds that had to be pushed together. When I go back to Valencia, I will definitely consider staying here again.

Everything was fine apart from two of the three beds being infected with blood-sucking parasites.

A 15-20 minute walk to town but right next to a metro station. Hotel is 70s in style and has a small rooftop pool and bar terrace with great views of the city. Rooms at the back can be a bit noisey due to the shopping centre below but that's par for the course in Spain. Big shopping mall next to it with supermarket handy for those on a budget or shop-a-holics who don't want to melt while shopping. Handy for buses to the beach and only a short cab ride from the station, right next to bus station too. Cheap and cheerful, staff friendly enough. Would go back.

The Hotel is well located in terms of transport, Air conditioned Metro high speed trams and regular bus service all within two minutes walk from the Hotel. The Hotel is huge, 12 floors with an outdoor swimming pool on the roof always hustle and bustle a bit like Hotel Babylon, A very good breakfast at 8 euros excellent value including a glass of wine.

This little gem was a great value for the money. It's rated 3 stars but should be rated 3.5. Location was good, parking expensive. Best to take Renfe (Spanish railroad) and use public transport in Valencia. Highly recommended.

This is not a luxury hotel, but it is good value for money. It is well maintained, clean and with reasonably friendly staff. It is not in the center, but it is only 10 min walk or EUR 5 for a taxi ride.

Hotel was a three star hotel as it says. The best thing I found about it was the location; a metro close by which is Túria L1, many restaurants, fast food chains, and shopping centers including El Corte Inglés.

Hotel is located on a busy but safe street and is about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the historical attractions. Next door, there is a food court and an El Cortes Inglais department store where you can buy just about everything including a supermarket. But the hotel needs modernization as the room we stayed had an old bathroom with a toilet that failed to flush after one day and a lumpy bed. But the staff was very courteous and helpful about the local attractions and restaurants. Automobile parking is available but expensive at 18.5 euro per day.

We had a very comfortable stay at the Expo Hotel. Dinner in the hotel dining room was very good and excellent value

Friendly staff -- nice location, but for a 4 star, I expected more

The hotel was outside the center of the city although near the metro station and the city was easy to get to. The staff on duty when checking in was not at all friendly or helpful, however we had no issues with subsequent front desk staff that we talked to. The hotel building could use some repair, several walls and ceilings were peeling and slightly buckling. The room was comfortable but there was no hair dryer provided. We were located on the 12th floor yet the elevator only goes to the 11th floor. We had to lug our bags up stairs to the top floor.

Great roof top pool for sunbathing.

Because I paid comparitively little for this hotel I wasn't expecting much but this place was a palace. Towels appeared magicly cleaned the next day and there is even an open air pool on the top floor with a view of the entire city. There's a massive park about 7 seconds walk away too.

Went for 3 day stay for Valencia grand prix weekend. Hotel very clean - breakfast very good and as much as you can eat buffet. Found the roof top swimming pool which is a hidden gem - water warm and sheltered from wind - AND there is a small roof top bar . Ample lifts and rooms air coned and clean. Whilst on the metro system one day, I had my passport pick pocketed (obviously not the hotels issue) but the reception helped me a great deal, interpreting with the local police by phone and helping me with directions to police stations and consulates. Very helpful staff. It is located on the Turia park - which is an old riverbed which is now lush. cooling and relaxing with water features. The park runs around the old town down to the harbour .Would visit again.(but would padlock my trouser pockets!)

The hotel is very conveniently located for the airport, for the beautiful historic old town and for the beach and seafront. It is an enjoyable 10-15 minute walk to the heart of the old town and the number 2 and 22 buses to the seafront area are available right outside the hotel. The journey takes about 20 minutes and costs 1.20 Euro. There is also a taxi rank outside the hotel. The breakfast buffet is very good value at 8 Euro. It is extensive, varied and very tasty. The roof top pool is just the place to cool off after a day in the city and the views from it over the city are spectacular. The roof top bar is an ideal spot to begin or end the evening. The service there is very efficient and cheerful. All the staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful, always ready to take time to deal with any queries.

The hotel was not as centrally located as we had expected. The rooms were dated but i guess it is only an inexpensive hotel. The staff were nice, but all in all i wouldn't suggest this hotel for your stay unless your budget is your only priority!

The pool is in a lovely position on the roof with with great views over Valencia. The disappointment was that it only opened at 11 am and was locked for even viewing until then. This was a really disappointment for someone who likes an early morning swim.

The Expo Hotel was great. Clean, well-appointed rooms for a good price and very nice amenities. The roof bar and pool were especially nice. While Valencia's charms as a tourist destination are modest, the Expo Hotel still wasn't very well situated. The old city (definitely worth seeing) is a pleasant 20-30 minute walk, but the beach is much too far to not take the Metro. There is, however, a Metro station literally next to the hotel. Two tips about the location: (1) large grocery store in the basement of the adjacent mall, and (2) free 24-hour street parking across the street.

Both the Expo hotel in Barcelona and Valencia are okay, small rooms and very small pool, staff helpful. The big problem is the noise in the rooms, not from street noise but from other guests, you can hear everything in the rooms next to you from talking, the TV enough the sound of the curtains being drawn, the noise form he corridors is even worse especially if anywhere near the lifts.

good hotel, put a bit far from the city center

A Well placed hotel for the old city of valencia with its nightlifeand sights, clean tidy rooms , well seviced by transport links. You can get the local Mansies bus on the top floor of the teminal that stops outside the hotel for 1.20 euros or catch the underground to Turia this goes from the Airport , you have to change once at Angel Guimera this will cost 1.80 euros. don't use this hotel if you want a beach holiday as you will have to catch a tube and a tram to get there. only fault no tea making facilities in the room

washroom was fine, room quality was fine. location was nice and close to metro. valencian paella at the hotel restaurant was great. hotel bar staff were great.

buon albergo con un ottimo prezzo. Vicino al centro commerciale e alla metropolitana. Personale efficiente. c'ero già stata e ci sono ritornata.

bien situe, chambres espacieuses, malgre la grande avenue sur laquelle donne l'ensemble de l'hotel pas bien bruyant; la piscine sur le toit est tres agreable; dommage pas de parking(celui propose public est bien onereux), se garer est difficile; dans l'ensemble hotel sans charme , impersonnel

E' molto buono per coloro che vogliono fare shopping e vicino al centro. La metropolitana inoltre è a due passi per poter andare ovunque! Lo consiglio vivamente. Ottimo il rapporto qualità/prezzo!

Een prima hotel, vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. De kamers zijn wat verouderd maar prijs kwaliteitverhouding is goed. Enige min puntje is dat er geen eigen parkeer gelegenheid is bij het hotel. Naast het hotel is een parkeergarage van het Corte del Ingles (winkelcentrum) waar je voor 18,50 euro 24 uur kunt parkeren.

Erg leuk hotel met een perfecte ligging! En qua prijs ook zeer goed te doen. Mooi uitzicht vanaf t zwembad op het dak en de metro voor de deur. Echter is een wandeling naar het centrum door Turia ook heerlijk en niet te ver.

Het hotel is een mooi hotel, direct naast een metrostation. Om in het centrum te komen, is 1 keer overstappen noodzakelijk. De kamer is netjes, ruim en schoon. De badkamer ziet er ook netjes en schoon uit. Het bed slaapt goed. Nadeel is de gehorigheid. De ene nacht hoorde ik de buren ruzie maken, elke ochtend hoorde ik mensen ramen open doen, deuren open en dicht gaan, douches, toiletten, schoonmaaksters hun werk doen,enz. Dit laatste vond ik het meest vervelend omdat ik hierdoor wakker werd. Het ontbijt is standaard zoals in elk hotel te vinden is. Het zwembad op het dak is heel lekker. Je zit lekker in de zon, kunt lekker het wat er in en je bent ook zo weer terug in je kamer. Internetverbinding kost 8,50 euro per dag. Deze wordt op naam (van kamer) geregistreerd.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. However, the service at the reception could have been much faster.

personale gentilissimo e piacevolissimo,tra di loro tre italiani;tutti molto garbati,simpatici e disponibili per ogni cosa.struttura tranquillamente considerabile come un 4*,l'unica pecca la piscina ma chi se ne frega che sia piccola!non decentrato,è a 10 min dal centro ma è collegata benissimo!lo consiglio!

Nice and clean enough. Reception has been upgraded, but the rooms are still fairly old and worn. However, great value for money, easily accesible by car and located in a street full of parking spaces where you can park for free . App 8 Euro by cab downtown.

Zimmer war sehr gut, Pool und Hotelbar auf dem Dach waren super, Preis/Leistungsverhältnis war auch super. Leider konnte einem das Rezeptionspersonal nicht immer nötige Infos geben, z.B. wo das nächste Centro de Salud bzw. der nächste Arzt ist (das genannte war erstens viel zu weit weg, zweitens hat es nicht mehr existiert und drittens war das zuständige Centro de Salud direkt um die Ecke, was man normalerweise vom Rezeptionspersonal zu wissen erwartet) und nicht mal ein Pflaster konnten sie einem zur Verfügung stellen. Davon abgesehen, war aber alles super.

Ottima posizione rispetto al centro città, cortesia e gentilezza alla recepcion, bella la piscina nella terrazza solarium dell'ultimo piano. Non possiede parking proprio ma si avvale di una convenzione con l'adiacente parking del centro commerciale "El Corte Inglés".

hotel trés bon marché, un peu vieillot mais bien placé à mi chemin entre le centre historique et le palais des congrés. Personnel charmant et à l'écoute. Absence de corrsepodance entre un quatre étoile en France.

Die Service Personal waren freundlich und aufmerksam. Preis und Leistung stimmten.

Buona la posizione, la pulizia e il personale. L'isolamento acustico tra le stanze (e tra i piani) è inesistente, si sente tutto come se fosse in camera. Va molto meglio quello con l'esterno, se si tiene la finestra chiusa.

Buon albergo, in posizione comoda sia per arrivarci che per andare al centro cittadino. Metrò a circa 20 metri e fermate bus difronte. Unico neo stanze piccole per i miei gusti.

l'Hotel si trova in ottima posizione, si può andare ovunque, metro, bus tutto a portata di mano, bella struttura, belle camere. Lo consiglio sicuramente.

Struttura accogliente, con effetti di prestigio un ottimo albergo per la categoria. Sicuramente per il rapporto qualita' prezzo non si puo' chiedere di piu'

ottimo hotel, confortevole e con tutti i servizi. Sito in zona strategica, ottimo sia per viaggi d'affari che di piacere. Unico tarlo non ha un parcheggio privato, e quello convenzionato: 18,50 al giorno.

non è possibile dire che questo hotel ha delle cose che non vanno, perchè è tutto funzionale al 100% e con una posizione eccellente per via della metro vicinissima ed il centro storico altrettanto.

prima hotel, was voor zakenreis in valencia, en het is heerlijk om na een lange dag in de feria in het zwembad te kunnen duiken, kamer ook prima, alleen jammer van niet-gratis internet.
