Even if you are just scraping by, like me, but like to enjoy the finer things in life every other year or so.. This place, its employees and the service make you feel rich and famous. Food and drink are expensive, the pool could be larger, but it'a a landmark hotel in a beautiful part of the city.

I love, love, love the Langham Hotel and their staff. It is the best hotel I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. From the moment we arrived, we were greated with the sweet smell of ginger lilly and treated like honored guests. Our room was perfect, the grounds are gorgeous, the food is outstanding and the staff were wonderfully warm, friendly, and professional. We elisted the assitance of the concierge for a last minute request to help a friend who was staying at a hotel that was unwilling to help him with flowers for his honeymoon suite. The Langham pulled through on this last minute request for us and highly exceeded our dear friends expectations. His bride was completely overwhelmed by the beautiful arrangement they put together. I wish all hotels were as wonderful as the Langham.

Easily one of the nicest hotels my wife and I have ever enjoyed. Great service by employees who genuinely care about your comfort. Beatuful hotel with excellent decor. The grounds of the hotel are also beautiful. If you really want the full treatment, book a club room - well worth the cost. The only improvement I could recommend would be if they built a second pool just for kids. Other than that - perfection! I will be staying here again!

The old lady still show pretty well. This is the old Huntington Hotel from back in the good old days. It was a Ritz Hotel for a long time and is now owned and run by another group. Set in the midst of an upscale tree and mansion lined neigborhood, the hotel has a private, old world feel to it. The staff couldn't be nicer, the grounds are beautifully mantained, and the attention to detail is appearent. The rooms are spacious enough, and decorated in a traditional manner without becoming dowdy. We stayed with our two boys( 8,12 respectivly, and they had a great time exploing the grounds, pool and overall history of the place. It close enough to old town Pasadena, although transportation ( shuttles provided by the hotel) are necessary. Well worth it,especially if you can find a good deal through hotels.com!

Stayed for five days at the hotel while sightseeing in Los Angeles and surrounding areas. The Hotel's location was ideal because it was central to many of the places I visited, and the City of Pasadena was just a terrific place to stay and dine. The Hotel provided exceptional service, and I've stayed in many high-end hotels. All the employees were courteous and very welcoming all the time. The room, though a bit smaller than what I expected (perhaps given to me because I booked on hotels.com and got a little bit of a discount rather than directly online with them), was nonetheless well appointed and very comfortable. I look forward to staying with them again when in the Los Angeles area.

My husband surprised me with a trip along the coast of California. He out did himself with this resort selection! The Langham is set back in a beautiful and friendly housing community. You would never expect a hotel to be there. The service was excellent. The grounds were exquisite and it was so much larger than expected. If you suffer from allergies bring your meds! The entrance to the lobby was filled with beautiful flowers and their sweet aroma filled the walkway before you entered. It is a place for families and lovers. There were several weddings there and they rocked all night long at the reception. I never heard a sound once I got to my room. I enjoyed the peace and quiet but if you’re looking for night life activities you will have to drive to get to it. There is no identifiable guest parking. It's all valet and if you bring a car they are going to charge you for it so you might as well live it up. (Make them fill up your tank and wash your car, you'll get your money’s worth then.) The Langham is a girls dream come true and men will benefit from the treat!

Hotel looks nice, is well maintained and is in good neighborhood. However the bed was bad and the pillow was bad. We asked for a 2 beds. The room was double deluxe room. There were two adult and a teenager in party. Either bed was not wide enough for 2 adults or a adult and a teenager. We have had much better sleeping experience in less expensive hotels. There was no coffeemaker in the room. The service was excellent. Restaurent in the hotel is extremely expensive. You can easily spend 30 dollars on breakfast when a bowl of cereal is $7.50. BTW, parking and internet cost extra.

We ate lunch by the pool and $60 for 2 isn't a deal...had very bad service. Could not get the order correct! Warm beer and wine for us and our friends. A female server came to our rescue and she was terrific (the guy horrible). In the cafe for breakfast had to wait 15 minutes for syrup for the french toast...just really poor service. We booked a "deluxe" King...and if this is deluxe would be shocked to see what a standard king would be since this is suppose to be a great hotel. We were dying of heat...air did not work all night!!! Bellmen/valet mixed up our luggage on arrival...we clearly gave our name and spelled it...still they took it to another room with a completely different name! Took a long time to even get our luggage so we could get out to the pool. We stayed there when it was the Ritz Carlton and it was completely higher quality. The bed and pillows were good! Paying $25 plus tip for parking is a joke!!! Not what I expected!!!

We splurged for the Langham Club level and were very surprised by the Lounge on the 8th floor made available to Club guests. They do a fairly impressive food service 5 times daily, and are very liberal with the libations throughout. The staff at the Club are very jovial and clearly interested in the guests having the best time possible, as seemed to be the case with all of the hotel staff. The Club provided a wonderful place to sit, read, chat, have a drink and do absolutely nothing. As this was our goal for the weekend, we were extremely pleased.
