We only stayed for 3 nights but the hotel was clean and tidy, the desk staff were friendly and spoke good English. The complimentary tea and coffee was extremely welcome. Unfortunately the room was too small for 3 people, when the trundle bed was pulled out, but the beds were so comfortable! Amazing infact! The hotel was situated very close to a metro stop, but we still had to change to reach central Paris, The only problem with being so close to the metro line was the noise of the trains most of the night. As we were on the 1st floor, we could hear/feel them every few minutes. (Even though the rooms are sound proofed.) We had dinner in the hotel one evening and it was reasonably priced. They have an 'all you can eat buffet' for dinner and breakfast for 15e and 9e respectively, however we had breakfast at the bakery across the road. I did have a few concerns about the area at night, but we didn't hang around outside long enough to find out if they were just concerns. Overall as we were on a tight budget, this was a lovely hotel for the price. In any case a lot better than some 3* hotels I've stayed in before. 4/5

We enjoy having beds made daily and having a kettle and drinks. I travel with my teenage daughter, and we feel safe here. Safe provided. However, watch your pockets and even money belt on Metro Line 13 which is busy - a girl actually started to open the zip on my belt, a cloth over her hand!

I stayed here with my kids for 2 nights and was very impressed by the standard of the hotel. With 3 beds (1 being tucked away under neath) the room was bit cramped but the cleanliness was excellant and we only really slept here. The location for us was very good as Metro/train only across the road, we came with Ryanair to after catching the bus into Paris this hotel was only 2 train stops away. I have recommended this hotel to my friend who is taking her daughter to Paris next month and the bekery around the crner was just amazing for breakfast!!!

Very nice hotel. Clean & tidy. The staff were friendly & helpful, explaining where the tourist attractions were & the best way to get there. Breakfast was good & plenty to choose from but with a charge. The hotel is right opposite a metro station so easy to get around. There is a great restaurant opposite the hotel with great staff & food if you don't fancy eating in the hotel. Would have preferred to be a little closer to the centre but would stay here again.

For the price, this is a great hotel in Paris. It is right across the street from the Metro and RER. Yes, you can hear the rumbling of the metro but it sounds like distant thunder. It is not near any Paris attractions, but since we wanted to see so much, we were going to travel on the Metro no matter what so it was not a big deal. I did not get the breakfast because there was a bakery next to the metro with lots of yummy choices for little money. We took the RER from CDG airport and it took nearly two hours. Going back to the airport by taxi only took 30 minutes and cost just a little more for three of us with two bags. Definitely do taxi - but have Euros since they don't all have VISA abilities. All in all, a very easy, safe and clean hotel.

This hotel is very nice, and it has everything you could want. However, breakfast is not included (9 euros a day), and internet is not included in the price. The location of the hotel is just awful. Yes, there is a Metro station right across the street, but it is not convenient to reach the main attractions very easily. You will waste most of your day just getting to the attractions. Stay somewhere else closer to the heart of the city!

Good hotel for the price we paid. Had secure parking for a charge of 10euro per night. Staff was quite friendly and helpful. They all speak fluent English so had no problem communicating with them. There are plenty of kebab and chicken shops nearby out of which quite few of them are halal as well so had no trouble eating out. Station was right opposite the hotel and all the attractions were only few stops away from the hotel.

We stayed there for 2 nights in mid-Apr, 09. For what we paid, we were surprised by, and very happy with, the acccommodations. The hotel, though not in the center of Paris, is in RER/Metro Zone 1 and right across from a RER train/Metro station where you can take RER Line C (Mona) to downtown in ~20 min. And with one transfer you can get to CDG airport and Versaille too. The area offers many dining options (fancy or no-frill) and a small supermarket is about 5-min walk away. We did not try the in-house restaurant as it seemed a bit pricey. Most of the staff did not speak English but all were helpful and friendly. In the lobby you can use their pc to surf the web (but not free).

We stayed in Campanile Paris Berthier and found this to be an excellent experience. We stayed in two rooms (2 adults and three children). The rooms were extremely clean and comfortably sleep 2 in two beds. There is just enough space for a third bed (provided by the hotel at no extra charge). The bathrooms were of a comfortable size and functioned very well. Even though the hotel was a bit far from the main Paris attractions, it was so close to Porte De Clichy station that we just used the metro everywhere - sight seeing trips all around Paris, Versailles and travel to and from from Gare Du Nord with our luggage. Trains run past midnight though the service after 11pm is not very frequent. We did not explore much near the hotel but we did find one good restaurant about a couple of blocks away. Definitely would recommend to folks that want a good clean hotel to stay in that is well connected to the rest of the city via Metro.

Great hotel, good value, third bed in the room was not listed as a 'roll-out' bed but seemed comfortable enough. Easy to get to via the trains, only a few yards from the station. Had dinner one evening in the restaurant - very nice. Only one problem, we didn't know that breakfast had to be pre-paid and went into the dining room being greeted by staff and asked room number which we gave. One of our party came down about ten mins later and was told he was not aloowed in until he paid. He mentioned to us, we said we were going to pay after, just sit down it will be okay. The person telling him to 'pay now' was the manager and he has a bit to learn about courtesy..... "what would happen if 500 people turn up for breakfast?" was one of his comments. It would have been very easy to come to us and say there has been a misunderstanding and we should have paid on entry (we were not asked) and would we pay the account on leaving the dining room. Ver simple! The rest of the staff were very helpful and spoke good english. Maybe the manager was just having a bad day, but that shouldn't have come through to us!!! Overall a good hotel and definately underrated *wise :-)

We all agreed that this hotel was a great bargain for at tourist stay i Paris. The metro is just outside the door and it runs perfectly to/from the city centre. There is nothing to see i the neighbourhood, but it was safe. Taxi to/from Charles de Gaulle airport is 40-45 euros and app. 20 minutes depending on traffic. The meter said less, but there are extra rates for suitcases and number og passengers. Fair price! The hotel was great. Normal size room, very clean, linnen/towels changed every day. I felt like giving the maid a tip but didnt se her at all. There were however some rumble from the metro inside (!) the hotel. It was not a problem for us (at all!), because we were very tired every night after a perfect vacation in Paris. Hotel breakfast was fine, but not superb - 9 euros. It would definitely use this hotel again!

Hotel is directly across the street from the Metro train station, which was very convenient to all the city attractions. The breakfast is a regular continental breakfast and cost about $12.00, which is too much. There is a restaurant like McDonalds is across the street and is much cheaper for breakfast. You get CNN, BBC and one other English speaking channel. The bathroom is a decent size for Europe. The beds were very comfortable. The neighborhood is decent and we did not have any problems heading back to the hotel at night from the Metro.

We chose a Campanile as we had stayed in them before. After reading these reviews we went straight for this one. For those who do not know about Campaniles you get tea and coffee along with your own bathroom. It was inexpensive for Paris and the METRO is on the other side of the road! The Patisserie is a gem. Buy your lunch there every day for 5 euros. Overrall I would recommend it. You may think it is a way out but the Metro is what you get everywhere anyway.

Good location and easy to access by car from the Peripherique (although the on-line location map is very poor). If you're fit you can walk to all the sights of Paris or use the Metro which is only minutes away. Excellent secure car parking beneath the hotel at 10 Euros a night. Breakfasts were fine but we had dinner in the more atmospheric Monmatre (about 20 minutes walk).

This is a great hotel if you consider what you pay for. The rooms are small in every hotel I've been in Europe so far, so we were expecting a small room. The bathroom was larger than expected [it had a bathtub]. Put it this way: if you are the type of person that stays out all day and only goes to the hotel late at night to sleep, it will work just fine for you. The hotel staff is really nice, they helped us finding our way to the places of interest. Very important: metro stop right across the street! it's very convenient. We went everywhere with the metro and you are downtown Paris in 15' the most! tip: ask for a map the first day and don't be afraid to hope in! People stay until late at night in Paris.

This is a well situated Hotel close to the Metro and Bus Stops , and within easy travelling distance of all destinations in Paris. The hotel itself is immaculate and really well run , with outstanding security in place..The only thing i didn't like was the evening meal provided , as the Steak was almost raw and even when returned for re-cooking it still came back under cooked..There are lots of Bistro's and cafes within a couple of minutes walking distance so eating out was very easy ( problem solved)..The local people were friendly enough , althougth there were a lot of black youths around the Metro station in the evening , and whilst intimidating in appearance, were no problem ..i am planning a return trip to Paris later in the Year and intend booking with the Campanile again...I would reommend staying there to anyone

The staff is nice. Lobby has internet stations, restaurants and bars that are not bad. Not a fancy place but it's good enough for just spending a few nights, and there are many small restaurants across the street for breakfast and snacks. But take showers at night because water pressure/temperature is a problem if there are lot of guests using water at the same time.

The room is well maintained, there is cable tv and spacious bath room. Helpful receptionist. Unfortunately, during the taxi strike in Paris, the hotel can not provide other transportation alternative but the public bus and metro. It was very difficult to go to the Gare du Nord with our luggages and kid. It would be better experience if only the hotel could help to arrange alternative transportation.
