Westin San Diego - San Diego

The room was so comforting and relaxing. I could have stayed in the room all weekend! Will go there again next year!

Parking was riduclously expensive. Over 30 for one night. No coffee shop only a very nice restaurant with rather high prices. We will not be staying there again.

The rate we paid was well worth the money! Overall the hotel was very nice with very friendly staff. The shuttle to & from the hotel was an excellent service and the valet staff was very attentive in flagging down cabs for other travel needs. We asked if any upgrades were available and got our room bumped up to the 23rd floor, corner room with a view of the City & partial of the Bay at no extra cost! The room itself was very clean, modern and up to date. The location was great and walking distance to the Gaslamp, Horton Plaza, Coronado Ferry and many other places of interest. The CONS: location was next to the court house & Greyhound equating to a fair amount of panhandling (typical to any big city), also no continental breakfast - one would at least expect something light (i.e. begals or doughnut) at least for the price paid. Overall - I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in downtown San Diego.

The pool and hot tub were nice. The maids did a great job of cleaning our rooms and making sure we had towels.

We had a bayview deluxe double heavenly bed room. It was close to the elevator and very quiet. We enjoyed the gym, pool and bar, valet was quick and efficient. Overalll experience was fabulous.

Great location and price value. Close to shopping, dining and major attractions. Would definately stay at this Westin location again.

While the hotel was nice and in a great location, the problem we had was all the additional costs. Using the internet was expensive and at the time of this writing was charged PER DEVICE. This was a charge I disputed later and had removed. The cost of parking was extremely high, expect to pay a lot there also. We were also charged a fee for calling their tech support line when the extremely expensive internet did not work. When the help desk transferred us over there was no mention that we were now being charged for calling an 800 number. This ended up being one of the most expensive hotels I've stayed at, and we didn't even get a breakfast.

We got an exellent rate for a very nice hotel. It was in a great location and very clean.

Even though our room didn't come with the standard things they say are in every room... when we are asked for these items they quickly gave them to us no questions asked. Their food/room service menu was lacking esp when it came to all hours of the night. But besides that great time... super close to gaslamp and other great things!

This is my fifth visit to San Diego for work and I will only stay at one place: The Westin on Broadway. It's walking distance to everything downtown, it's a great stroll down by the water in the morning, and their hotel is wonderful. Highly recommend staying there!

The hotel is beautiful but the room was not 100% clean when we arrived. We had to call for service since the bathtub was dirty. The room was clean other that the tub and housekeeping was good. I have to say I went to get ice and I had to go to 3 different floors to get ice out of the machine and one machine was very dirty. Not what I expected from the Westin at all. The the personal at the hotel were very curtious. One thing that I was not expecting was a $32 a day fee for parking. That should be included if they want you to stay at their hotel.

Really nice hotel and the staff was very helpful!!! The only downfall is the parking situation.

We had two rooms for a bachelor party, everything went well. The rooms are spacious and modern with nice flat screen televisions and great views of the city. Great value and nice hotel overall

The toilet needs some work or has to be replaced. It wouldn't flush properly. Room was very small compare to other standard rooms of well known 4 stars hotels.

Pleasant stay at the Westin. During the middle of the week it wasn't busy at all and the rates were reasonable. The room was nice and the overall hotel had great amenities.

The Westin in dowtown San Diego was amazing! While it was a little pricey it was very well appointed and easily in walking distance to almost all of downtown SD. Just be sure to call the hotel in advance about where to park and how to get there, since one-way streets litter downtown SD. But regardless it was a wonderful experience!

When I came to check in there was about 10 other people waiting for their room including me, so I had to go to the rest room to change into my other close. I had pass to an event for another person and let them at the concierce desk. When she went to pick up the passes no one knew where they were. It took 20 min for them to finally find them. I am still waiting to hear back from accounting because i was charged $50 for something. I didn't park there or use anything in the room.

We had a great time on our trip and I would definately go back to the Westin. It was clean, great view, affordable and close to the Gaslamp district. It was a great time!

My husband and I live in San Diego, but staying at this hotel made us enjoy our city even more. Beautiful accomodations, great happy hour, kind of a walk to some places but totally worth it. Try to get a higher floor for the beautiful view. The breakfast buffet was a bit pricey for decent food, nothing outstanding. There are better buffets at restaurants, but you might have to drive to them.

The hotel is great. Love the service and the comfort of their beds. Very clean and cozy. Its in a great location, area is quiet, not that loud like other parts of Downtown. I would definitely stay here again.

Things were OK BUT I would rather have stayed at the Westin nearer to the Mall and 4-5th street area.

No spa or nic bar. People were friendly but service lacking. Hotel seemed old. Worst part was a new bldg across the street is being built and they worked on it all night making it impossible to sleep. If I had been told this on the front end I would have stayed somewhere else.

I've stayed in a Westin before and was SO impressed with the quality and comfort of my arrangements. I was excited to book again at a Westin, and felt I had a good deal for the location. When I went up to see my room, I immediately felt that I paid way too much. The ceilings were so low and the bathroom, while nice looking, felt like any other mid-grade hotel bathroom. Our room faced another building, so the view was non-existent. The bed was comfortable, but given the size of the room, I never felt really realaxed and like I was in an Oasis away from the hustle and bustle of town.

Beds were very comfortable. View was great.

The hotel is in a great location (walking distance to Horton Plaza and other places). We had the bayview room and it was lovely. The room was very comfortable, though it could benefit from some modernization. The lobby staff were all pleasant and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel itself was very nice and the beds were comfortable with lots of pillows, but the parking was ridiculous. They dont have ANY guest parking. You have to pay $30 for valet or go find your own parking which will run you about $15 in a public parking area cause you'll never find any on the street. It is however walking distance to the Gas Lamp Quarter which was nice.

The accomadations were great and the staff were very friendly. Another great thing about this hotel is that I could bring my doggy with me, which was a big plus.

Very clean hotel with average rooms. The hotel itself and its location is what makes this hotel a great deal. The surrounding hotels were much more expensive and offered very little extra. We were able to check out late and were upgraded to a room with a view at no additional cost.
