Great location, but the rooms kind of suck, and my room was so close to the building next door I could have reached out and touched the guy on his balcony across the back alley. No A/C (which is to be somewhat expected) but very very loud on the street with windows open. I would not recommend this place to a friend...

As I love sightseeing, I was looking for a hotel close to most sights and with a comfortable bed and I found just that at this hotel. Located in the old town area with the City Hall, Dublin Castle, Christ Church Cathedral and Dublinia within 5 minutes walk, I could not have asked for anything better. The room was in a clean and comfortable state, however the furnitures were dark brown which made the room look smaller than it was, but as I was only there to sleep it was alright. The service was first class from every member of staff and the show, which is on every evening in the Legend bar, was very entertaining and I definitely recommend it. They do have a special deal combination of dinner and show, however it is possible to only see the show, if you prefer to eat somewhere else.

This hotel has new management as of a year ago. The staff were awesome and extremely helpful. When we registered, we went to our room to find that toilet was not bolted down and the sink faucets were not screwed on properly. The room was very small. I went to let the office know about this and they changed our room quickly to a nicer room. The hotel is the sister hotel to the Arlington Hotel on O'Connell St. I do see that they are trying to make improvements. I would say that in a year from now this will be a beautiful and wonderful hotel.

If you are a regular traveller to Dublin, please be aware that this is not the Arlington Hotel on Bachelors Walk. It is a sister hotel on Temple Bar. As I have stayed at 'The Arlington' many times I duly arrived, left my luggage, went for lunch as we were early, and returned to check in following a drink at the bar, only for my partner to be informed we were at the wrong hotel, and that nothing could be done to change it. As I had booked 'The Arlington' specifically for a special occasion I went to the desk and to be fair the situation was sorted out and we were allowed to stay, in fact we were allocated one of the best rooms at no extra cost. 'The Arlington' is a superb hotel with fantastic food, bars and entertainment, however I have no idea what the sister hotel is like so please bear this in mind when booking via this site.

This is my absolute favorite place in Dublin to stay. I stay here every time i'm in Dublin. The ONLY downfall to this place is that they don't have their own parking - the nearest car park is Christ Church Cathedral car park and it's a big walk if you have a lot of bags -I don't know the meaning of traveling lightly! And it does cost to park there, but the hotel gives a discount. For all day, it ends up being 14 Euro. Now let me tell you the fabulous things! They have portable cribs. It is inside of city centre and everything is right outside your door with this hotel. The staff is so very helpful and friendly. There is free wi-fi. There is Irish music and dancing every night that is absolutely wonderful! I'm sure i'm leaving something out but bottom line-if you want something right inside city centre and don't want to spend an absolute fortune - STAY HERE!

I really liked it, the downstairs restaraunt / bar was really enjoyable. First time in Dublin. The Price was GREAT! I felt like I got a really good deal and was way worth it. I would've paid more. I'm usually skeptical on the food, but it was great. THe dinner and show was 29 Euros, not cheap but worth it. I was there by myself and was pleased. The temple bar area is literally right next door, its a great location and the staff was pretty nice. The only complaints is that the walls were a little thin, so sometimes you could hear a loud group of people, but I didn't mind. It wasn't that often, I would definately stay there again. NO doubts at all.

Staff very friendly, very willing to help with directions, tried to eat at the hotel restaurant and could not get in. Our family was in dublin for a appointment so we decided to spend quality time in Dublin after. We choose this hotel for it's location and that is about all it is worth!!! We arrived only to be the "complimentry parking" which we even called to confirm about was a block and a half from the hotel!!! At 15.00 euro extra! Then the elevator was broken we were on 2nd floor with a ton of luggage!! Then when we were asking for directions it was a chore for them to inform us where to go!! We were intruding on their solitare computor time. Then we were also told they had wireless, only to be told when we get there it is in the lobby only not in the rooms at all. WE were misinformed and yes the rooms were alright clean I would be looking elsewhere next time when we go for a dublin day!!!! We were also receiving prank calls at 3 am, the Tv was blurry and the the towels had blue stains on them. Disappointed and not a 3 star hotel they would be lucky if I ever call them a two star!!!!

Even though the Arlington hotel (was the Parliament) and restaurant were undergoing renovations, our room (#201) had a spectacular view down Lord Edward Street and had been nicely renovated. But it was the staff that made our business stay to wonderful... friendly, happy, smart and courteous. We would stay again and the location to downtown, Grafton Street and Temple Bar couldn't be beat.

The name of the hotel changed from the time we made our reservations to the time we arrived. No one notified us and we wasted a lot of time looking for the hotel. The reception desk employees were less than friendly and helpful. Our room was cramped and facing a high traffic road and was quite noisy all day and all night. The beds were uncomfortable. The rooms were not kept up well and slightly dirty. The only positive thing was the location. I would not return to this hotel or recommend it. Everywhere else we stayed in Ireland the facilities were lovely and the people delightful.

First of all, this is a very old hotel. The rooms are VERY small, but they are clean. You can hear your neighbors next door and everything going on outside because the walls are very thin. This hotel is good because of it's location and the staff is absolutely fantastic. They are very helpful and will answer any of your questions. I can't say enough, how helpful they are. The rooms are somewhat to be desired, very small, but there is a bathroom in the room so that is a plus. The bathtub/shower is really small and while taking a shower, the curtain sticks to you, which is gross. Our room had a fan that we were able to turn on to drowned out all the noise, so I recommend asking for a fan if your room doesn't already have one in it. The location is great, near lots of bars and restaurants, and Dublin Castle. Just be sure to have a few pints of Guiness before going to bed and you will be able to get a good nights rest.

The room was very clean and quite large. The hotel is very centrally located near Temple Bar area and very easy to locate (across from City Hall & Dublin Castle). The restaurant, however could use some improvement.. for the astronomical 10.95 euro breakfast, they should have been more attentive (not even an offer to pour my coffee and bring milk). That, however is my only complaint. Overall, the hotel met my expectations for the price.

This hotel was perfect for sight seeing in Dublin--it was almost exactly halfway between Trinity College and Christ Church Cathedral, and right across the street from Dublin Castle. It might be worht staying there for that reason alone--we easily walked to everywhere in the city we wanted to go. However, the room itself was pretty bad. The walls we thin and we could hear the conversations of everyone in the rooms surrounding us, and the floors were extremely squeaky (and loud). The bathroom reeked of both urine and mildew, and the innerspring mattresses were quite possible the worst I have ever felt.

The Parliament Hotel is a short walk from O'Connell Street, where the airport buses stop to unload passengers. Right across the street from the hotel is City Hall and Dublin Castle and a stone's throw the other way is the famous Temple Bar area, a charming little street with a great pub every other door! The staff of the hotel was friendly and courteous. Our room was very clean and extremely comfortable. The mattress was soft, blankets warm and we found ourselves sleeping in every day, so bring an alarm clock if you intend to wake up early to get out the door and do some sightseeing. The bathroom was small but very clean. For the money we paid, we were extremely satisfied with the Parliament Hotel.

Great location. Can walk everywhere from this location. Staff friendly and helpful. Great pub downstairs - not too loud. The pub closes pretty early. The hotel is right next to Temple Bar, can be a little loud at night. Beds were decent, hotel clean. Would recommend staying here again, especially if on a budget. If you can afford to stay at a nice place, I would but can't beat the price for this basic, but clean hotel.
