I would recommend the remodeled rooms that are large, with beautiful furnishings, large bed, A/C and view of golf course.

This is a lovely place and we enjoyed the hotel and its surroundings.

AAAAA++ First and foremost, the hotel would have been perfect 5 if not for the fact it was soooo cold!! we arrived in dublin during a not so normal winter with snow on the ground. the hotel was gorgeous and the links were amazing with fresh snow on the greens but being that our room was on floor 1(floor 2 is lobby) and heat rises we were freezing. seems like europe doenst have central heat since they used wall heater things to heat up the entire room. it took well over half the day to get the room to a normal temp. but overall everythign was great. Location: a bit far from the city but there was a bus stop outside the hotel and i enjoyed the country scenery better then the city. it was picturesque and staff was so polite. ireland was amazing and i cant wait to go back in the SUMMER!!

very good price /quality ratio. Business environment yet still in an leisure environment. Pitty the "pool" is missing. Other wellness however available.

It's not a bad little hotel to be honest. The setting is beautiful, right on the beach. We booked a sea view room but ended up being assigned a ground floor room with a view of bushes and trees. The rooms are quite dated to be honest. Despite having most amenities required, everthing seemed a bit shabby. The common areas are very comfortable and cosy. Breakfast was average. I felt the service to be extremely slow and the breakfast selection was quite poor. If i was on a golf or sightseeing holiday, i would recommend the hotel.

This hotel was so picturesque! The dublin bus stop is right out front so no problem getting to sight see within the city (a 20 min. ride). The other two nearby sea towns were great tour as well and equally enjoyable. I want to go back again!!!

This hotel was wonderful!! We talked to other travelers that stayed in Dublin and they weren't very happy with their hotel. We told them about our beautiful view of the golf coarse and the ocean. The great rooms and they we're jealous!

I booked a seaview room - very large with 2 queen sized beds. The view was gorgeous over the bay, people walking, flying kites, and riding horses in the mornings.

Easy to get to from Dublin Airport, just watch for the signs, they tend to be either on or just after the junctions. The Hotel itself is very impressive especially if you want to play golf. The course looked fantastic, I am only sorry I didn't take my clubs with me. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. The staff were very helpful in pointing out places of interest and providing route maps etc. Disappointed that for the price you pay for the rooms that breakfast is not included, particularly if you have children which can be expensive, the minimum price for a Continental breakfast was 12 euros and for a full Irish breakfast 16 euros. A beautiful coast walk from the hotel leads you to Malahide, which is a only a few k's away or a 5 minute drive will get you there. If the hotel dining room is fully booked, Malahide has some nice restaurants to choose from. Dublin is a short train ride away and it takes you right into the heart of the city.

Good size room. Clean. Lovely view of the coast. We were on the ground level near the laundary room and staff lift area, which was not ideal due to some sound. Overall, very good. definitely would stay again.

Spent 3 nights in early July with my wife and 2 teenage sons throughly enjoyed our stay, the rooms were of a high standard very clean 1 twin with 2 very large beds with sea view and a large double overlooking the garden this was especially nice with air conditioning both very quiet. Staff very helpful all polite and smiling> We found out that Neil Young was playing a concert at nearbye Malahide Castle and the recepition staff were very helpful in allowing us to use their computer to buy last minute tickets. Though the beach and sea are only a stones throw from the hotel a indoor swimming pool would have been nice, Bar food was excellent however at busy times they do need more staff.

Excellent hotel, wonderfully positioned by the sea. We spent 3 nights there in a double room with 2 double beds! The rooms were light and clean, and apart from a couple of minor niggles (which were reported but not fixed) it was an ideal place to stay. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, prices were reasonable compared with Dublin, although we didn't try the restaurant. Although we had a car, we used the local bus (the bus stop is about 50 yds from the hotel) for travel into Dublin, and at 2 Euros a trip was excellent value and much easier and cheaper than driving. Th golf course looked superb but a bit pricey, which you would expect for a Championship course. All in all excellent value.

I loved this hotel. The staff were all extremely friendly without exception. Its in a beautiful location right on the beach. I hired a car during my stay and it took me about 15 minutes to drive into Dublin from there which was perfect for me. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

If you are comfortable either taking the bus or driving into Dublin, this is a great hotel. The location (Portmarnock) was beautiful, right on the coast with a gorgeous view and walking paths along the beach. The staff was excellent and exceeded all of our expectations. The rooms were spacious and clean, with nice bathroom facilities. The only slight negative was the less-than-comfortable mattress, pillows and bedding. Other than that, if you enjoy being close to the city (Dublin) with the peace of being out of the bustle, then this is a great hotel.

Nice hotel, modern. we got upgraded to the new rooms so that helped! :-) Staff very helpful. Would recommend. It is quite far out of the city, alow an hour by bus. But catching the bus is no problem. Would stay here if you want to relax and want peace and quiet. Lovely to walk along the beach.

Good hotel, we paid extra for the ocean view which was lovely. Staff were very helpful and location is a short taxi ride into Malahide for a night out or meal. Didnt use restaurants at hotel but they looked nice.

We were upgraded to the executive suite because of our large family. If you are not a golfing family not much else to do at the hotel. Great walking paths and beach is right behind the hotel. You will not get an irish experience as all the staff are from EU.

Das Hotel ist schon etwas "abgewohnt". Auf unsere Reklamation des Zimmers (alt, abgenutzt, Bad unakzeptabel) bekamen wir ein nicht besseres (nur etwas größer) zugewiesen (Schimmel am Waschbecken- u. Badewannenrand, Toilette "außen hui unten pfui"). Die Tische im Frühstücksraum waren nicht eingedeckt, Gäste mussten warten. Service unkooriniert; Barservice gut. Meine Eltern hatten ein einwandfreies Zimmer (renoviert) im 3. Stock.

I don't even play golf, and I loved it! The situation is stunning, the (regular) rooms are spacious and elegant, the staff actaully seems to like their job, the attention to detail is great. Was a bit worried before we came that it might be inconvenient - far from everything, but it is no problem stying there going into Dublin on the dart or bus, or finding places to eat nearby - outside the hotel.

Die lage war SUPER, direct am strand und perfecte anschluss mit dem bus vom Flughafen und Zentrum. Zimmer gross und Komfortabel.

Dit luxe hotel gelegen in de duinen aan zee is ideaal voor golfers. Service is prima en de kamers zijn goed ingericht en compleet. Binnen een half uur rijden liggen er wel 20 golfbanen en direct naast het hotel is een heel mooie baan. Er is een gezellige bar bij het hotel waar ook door de week 's avonds altijd bedrijvigheid is. Dublin ligt op een half uur rijden met de bus en de halte is voor het hotel (laatste bus 23.30 uit Dublin). Malahide is een gezellig plaatsje met leuke pubs en restaurants op 5 minuten rijden en met een taxi goed te bereiken (+/- 13 euro). Kortom een aanrader.
