We booked this hotel after reviewing many in Boston. From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome. The hotel fulfilled all our requirements and was ideally located to explore the city by foot. Would recommend to anyone staying in Boston.

The hotel is in a brilliant location, over the road from a shopping mall. The staff where excellent right from Jimmy the bell boy to the cleaners who tidied the room immaculately. The rooms themselves were of generous sizes with comfortable beds and fahionable decoration throughout. I would throroughly recommend the hotel to anyone staying in Boston

An excellent hotel, a great choice for Boston with large rooms and nice and quiet with the double glazed windows. Supersized bed and great TV. My only complaint was being given a key to a dirty room on arrival. This was soon sorted out and also the roof top pool was out of action for 2 of the three days i was there with no explanation. Otherwise, well worth the stay.

This hotel was ideally situated to suit our needs. The hotel interior was tastefully decorated and in pristine condition. The rooms were spacious and accomodated our family of four no problem. Although we did not spend a great deal of time in the hotel there was a great bar and restraunt. Wish we had a few more days to sample what Boston has to offer, we will return and most definitley stay at this hotel. (No 1 tip go to a Red Sox game Fenway Park walking distance)

The hotel was lovely, the pool was great, the location was brilliant being just opposite the Pru centre and T entrance. The beds were a little uncomfortable and the younger doormen could have been friendlier. Overall a nce place, we would stay there again

We were in town to see a concert at Fenway. This hotel was in a beautiful neighborhood and was within walking distance to the ballpark. The rooms are a little small but well appointed and typical size for a downtown hotel. Very trendy decor and great showerhead. Beds were very comfortable also and a nice flatscreen TV. The parking is additional and you do have in and out privilages. Brassarie Jo is downstairs and provides great breakfast for an additional fee. I will definately stay here again on my next trip to Boston.

The Colonnade is located on a major street directly across from the Shops at Prudential Center (mall with numerous dining options). Also, very close to Shaw's grocery store. Walkable to the public garden/Common, as well as Fenway. 5 minute walk to Newbury Street shopping and dining. Very enjoyable stay. Rooms are modern and very clean. Pool area is fun and relaxing.

I was very pleased with our accommodations. The hotel was clean and convenient to transportation. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Only concern involved security knocking on door at 9:30 p.m. and asking about smoking in the room. He did not show identification. I found this very disturbing and frightening. In the future I believe the front desk should call ahead and security should have photo identification. Despite this one negative experience, I would definitely stay at this hotel again!

I found the staff rude and unhelpful, from the very first moment I arrived. The doorman scoffed at me when I asked if there was a valet, since the parking situation in that part of Boston isn't the best. Then while checking-in, I was scolded by the clerk at the front desk about the no-smoking policy, attached to the room I booked. If I wanted to smoke, I would have booked a SMOKING room; apparently common sense isn't a condition employment at the hotel. Also, as an ADULT I really didn't appreciate being lectured to, on the subject. The only issue I had with the room was the inclusion of a mini-bar menu that included many unavailable items. When we contacted the front desk about in-room dining options, we were told that the kitchen was closed, but we could walk to 7-11, down the street. I would have asked about other options, if I wasn’t hung up on before I could pose the question. The best part of the stay was finding out that they did not validate parking. The extra $38 dollars wasn't the problem; it was the fact I could have and WOULD have stayed at another hotel had I know I was going to be charged an additional $38, for parking. I stayed at another hotel, the previous night, and was only charged $20 for parking. Actually, the parking was free, I tipped their professional and courtesy staff, which parked my car as well as loaded and unloaded my luggage. As someone who travels frequently for work and pleasure, I am often asked by friends and coworkers for recommendations about hotels. I will be VERY hesitant to recommend, or stay at, any of the Summit Hotel & Resorts properties. Writing this review is especially unfortunate because the rooms and amenities were great; too bad the staff ruined what could have been a very pleasant stay.

I booked this hotel for a night as a gift to my fiance as we were heading down to Boston for a Red Sox game for his birthday and need a place close to Fenway. From the Bellman who showed us how to get into the garage, to the front desk staff, to the wait staff, everyone was VERY welcoming and pleasant. The Hotel was very clean and our room was outstanding. My fiance said it was the nicest hotel he's ever been in.... AND THE BED was SO ridiculously comfortable... it was unreal! I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great spot, close to Fenway!!!!! The best part... the rubber ducky for the tub!

My wife and I stayed at the Colonnade due to its proximity to the theatre district, shopping and T stations. The room itself was very nice. There were some downsides. As a previous guest had stated on hotels.com there was a gap between the bottom of the door and the floor, which allowed all hallway conversations to filter into our room as if we were there in the midst of the conversation. We were also told that our room had a scenic view of South Boston. I would not necessarily describe our view as scenic. Our room looked out onto the old Boston Brownstones which are very nice, but certainly not scenic. The staff were friendly. The access in and out was easy. Parking cost extra, which is typical for the city. Nice touch with the Keurig One-Cup coffee maker in the room. All-in-all a good, not great stay.

All in all I was satisfied with the stay. The location was good, within walking distance of Boston Commons and other downtown sites. Great location if you want to shop. My one issue was with parking. Although I stayed in the lot for under 24 hours, I had to pay the full 24 hours (as expected) plus an additional two hours worth of parking at an expense of more than half the full day rate, just for an additional two hours. I left the lot two hours after the hotel's 3PM checkout - this despite parking at 6PM the night before, 23 hours earlier.

I loved this hotel and would definitely go back again. It is located directly across the street from Prudential Mall and is close to many little shops, places to pick up food, and to restaurants. Everything you need is within easy walking distance. Park your car and leave it there while you are staying in the hotel. (However they charge you $38 a day to park your car..this should have been mentioned in the hotel description.) There is a swimming pool on the roof. I looked forward to taking a cool swim after a busy day, and was informed by hotel staff that there was a banquet booked that evening at the pool and the entire pool area was closed...even to guests of the hotel. My only other complaint if you want to call it that, was that the walls are thin, and you can kind of hear what is happening in the next room at night (if you catch my drift). However I have to say despite these somewhat minor issues that I just mentioned, I still loved the hotel and my stay there.

Beautiful, comfortable rooms, lovely service. The hotel is in great condition, staff is polite and prompt in responding to needs. Located directly outside of a T stop, plenty of access to taxis and within walking distance of much of the city. The rates were a little high, but we were staying the weekend of the Boston Marathon so presumably we were paying a premium for the location and the event. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit the city.

This hotel was very nice, clean modern room and great facilities. I normally couldn't afford a hotel this posh were it not for rate reductions to combat low occupancy from this lousy economy. The hotel was definitely geared for the upper class well-to-do folks. No soda machines in the hallway but $4.00 a can from the in-room bar - no thanks. You might think they'd have a couple computers for folks to check email etc......and they do, but it sure ain't cheap....$$$ per minute. Most everyone seemed friendly except for the doormen.

I took my fiance to Boston as a surprise for his birthday... I loved the pictures of the Collonade from the website, but I must say it's even more impressive in person. It's the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in. I loved the modern feel of it. The staff were more than willing to help with any questions or provide any ammenities we needed. Also, I'm somewhat of a clean freak, and it was spotless. The view of Huntington Ave was spectacular from our 10th floor room as well. The location is awesome and very close to many great shops, restaurants and theaters. I can't say enough. We never wanted to leave. My fiance says it was by far his best birthday ever. Definitely worth every penny.
