My needs were very simple: a nice, clean hotel room in a convenient midtown Manhattan location. What I got was an elegant room in a convenient location. I cannot speak about the restaurant or room service, but I can tell you that the room was beautifully appointed and spacious, with a comfortable king-size bed - and the bathroom was quite nice as well. The Michelangelo met my needs at a reasonable tariff. What more could I ask for?

The Michelangelo is a fantastic hotel in Midtown Manhattan, just four blocks from Times Square, two blocks from Rockefeller Center and 5th Avenue, and ten blocks from Central Park. The staff and service are as good as it gets and the concierge in particular is very helpful. I would recommend this hotel to the business or the vacation traveler.

The location is outstanding for visitors to New York. The price for the size and comfort and cleanliness of the room was hard to beat ($190/night). We have stayed at the Hudson in the past which has a much "hipper" lobby and bar, but the rooms were ridiculously small and more expensive. We stayed with our 10 month old son and had a crib for him. There was plenty of room for this. We also had a babysitter for two nights arranged through the hotel. She too was exceptional and put us a great ease. We had drinks one evening on the roof of the Peninsula, and make no mistake, this hotel is not nearly as swank as that or the Plaza or the Mandarin, but for $190, this was a great buy.

Wonderful location in the heart of the Theater District. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff corrected those minor things we found with graciousness and speed. The mezz is currently undergoing renovations and the hotel is working around that rather well.

The hotel is very gracious -- beautiful decor and lovely rooms. Front desk staff was very helpful, but the concierge was not very good. The only drawback was that we had NO cellular reception on our floor so that we could not use our phones or laptop air card. Also, there was no view and our window afforded virtually no day light.

The concierge offered great restuarant recommendations. The hotel is clean and comfortable. - If I visit the city again I will stay at the Michelangelo!

The hotel has very large comfortable rooms. The hotel appears to be under going a rennovation, so there are some rooms with newer furnishings and some work being done around the hotel. If you are looking for a wild nightlife scene, this is not the hotel for you, but if you want a nice relaxing stay, I would highly recommend this hotel.

I stay at the Michelangelo regularly because the rooms are spacious and exquisite at a cost that is reasonable for a NYC hotel. More than that, though, the Michelangelo is staffed with REAL people who take a genuine interest in the quality of my stay. I feel so welcomed every time I return that I've come to consider this hotel my home away from home.

Nice everything, clean, roomy, overall a good nights sleep! Complimentary breakfast consists of coffee, croissants, scones and apples. No healthy options here if you want more than an apple and the coffee at the Duke (just a few doors down) is much better tasting. Shocked that they feel the need to charge extra $10 per 24hrs. for internet service. Internet should be considered a basic accommodation today. Most other hotels, many a lot less expensive include this as part of the rate. Hey, maybe they should get rid of the comp breakfast and provide comp internet service instead!

There are so many hotels in Manhattan that it's hard to select one if you're looking online. Since the reviews looked good for the Michelangelo, I decided to give it a try. I was amazed at how upscale, elegant, newly-decorated, and comfortable it was. The staff were extremely gracious and the location is central to shows, shopping and business. Insieme, the hotel restaurant, which has gotten lots of good reviews, was indeed marvelous. Don't miss the lasagna. All-in-all, this was a lot of value for the money.

This was my 2nd stay. Very quiet. Hotel was full and you don't hear people next door or above you. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Turn down service. There were only two things which weren't too big a deal: 1. If your room is in the back, it was a dead zone..no cell phone service...no bars at all, even when I walked to the window. I changed rooms the next day. Secondly, with the air conditioner on, you couldn't hear the television. They have the volume set so you cannot increase the volume and you can't hear it very well. No big deal, but if you are in your room to watch a movie, it could be a proble.

My husband and I stayed only one night at the Michelangelo, but it was absolutely wonderful. The staff was very professional and courteous, the lobby was beautiful and the room was perfectly decorated. The bed was terrific.....softest sheets I've ever slept on. I can't say enough positive things, so I'll give two small examples. First, there are mini-chandeliers in the elevators. I don't know why that impressed me, but I don't think I've ever seen a chandeliers in an elevator before. Second, we checked in, took showers before dinner, and then headed out. When we returned, our bed was turned down (not unusual), but the dirty towels had been replaced and the little bottles of shampoo and body wash were replenished. I was totally impressed. Overall, it was a terrific experience that I would highly recommend to anyone. We'll stay there again the next time we go to NYC!

Nice large rooms and outstanding bath..only negative is that the room looked at a brick wall of another building..nice touch in the evening when the maids turn down the bed, places chocolate in room and filled the ice bucket...btw, only one ice machinine in the hotel - on the 5th floor and try and find it!!
