Todos los hoteles en Cannaregio"A good position and a hotel we'd happily return to"

Firstly location - although not in a pretty position next to a canal, one advantage of this hotel is that it's close to a major Vaparetto stop, and the railway station, so not a long way to wheel your suitcases! Although not attractive from outside, the hotel inside is nice, with a large, comfortable lounge, and peaceful garden, and adequate breakfast room. The rooms are perhaps a little dark, but well equipped and comfortable. Our bathroom had a bath and wall-shower (with no screen), our friends had a full shower cubicle with no bath, so if you have a preference it would be worth saying so on booking. The breakfast was plentiful and fine for anyone (like us) who doesn't want any sort of cooked breakfast. The staff were helpful but not intrusive. In summary we'd happily return for another long weekend.

Arrived in Venice by train, the hotel couldn't be closer, approx 200 yards. We departed from the Bus terminal, again very close, just over the grand canal so excellent location with regards to ease for travelling. Charming building with nice garden. Staff were excellent, courtious, helpful, informative, offered detailed advice on directions & transport. The room was comfortable, minibar reasonably priced, T.V. Safe in room. Double wardrobe with hangers. Spacious bathroom with shower, toilet, bidet & basin with complimentary toiletries. Rooms cleaned daily with fresh towels daily. Breakfast was good. The usual cereal, pastries, cakes, yoghurts, bread, jams, cold meats & cheese, fresh fruit, fruit salad, juice & coffee. Bar in the hotel was reasonably priced compared to bars & restaurants. Venice is notoriously expensive so be prepared to spend. The area the hotel is in is very busy due to the close proximity to railway & bus station and the streets arn't as up market as in the centre nearer to St Marks & Rialto. However as the hotel is down a narrow alley it was very quiet. Overall very impressed with the hotel, in our opinion exceeds its 3 stars. On departure we left our luggage and returned to use the bathroom to change and freshen up prior to flight home. No lift in the hotel so anyone with mobility problems may struggle. Would highly recommend this hotel for value for money, convenience & staff.

Close to the train station so those who travel by train with big luggage do not have to lug them around to a far away location. The terrace is pleasant and is a little retreat away from all the action right when you step your foot outside the alleyway onto the busy streets.

The hotel was easy to find, only being a short distance from the train station. On arrival and throughout our stay the staff were extremely helpful and polite, they gave us a map, made reservations, even gave me an unbrella when it rained. The garden and lounge were lovely and made a great oasis from the busy hot streets. Our room was well furnished and very clean but on the small side. Breakfast was good and the bar prices were very reasonable especially given how expensive it was else where in Venice. The hotel was 20 mins walk from Piazza San Marco and 15 to the rialto bridge. The walk is pleasant but there is always the water bus. The general area of the hotel is very touristy so you you have an hundreds of places to eat and drink, just be aware that the coke is more expensive than the wine. Great stay, would stay there again.

To the uninitiated, Venice is a very difficult place to navigate in the middle of the night. We were fortunate in that the Abbazia is easy to locate and very near the bus drop-off and the train station. The staff went out of their way to make our trip fantastic with restaurant recommendations, directions, currency exchange, detailed maps and train schedules for a day trip. This is a great place to stay in Venice!

This room was definitely better than expected for the price we paid. It's very close to the train station, which made suitcase trasport easy. It is a bit far from everything else in Venice, but we were expecting to walk to see the sights. The bells are annoying - 7am and noon everyday I think. If you're planning on getting up that early, it's not an issue. Otherwise, bring earplugs. We did have a spider infestation in the room, but other than that everything has been upgraded and both the room and bathroom were very spacious.

If you travel to Venice by train, this hotel is for you. Get off the train and turn the corner and you are there. No elevator but staff is available to help you with your luggage. While walking around we saw many tourists dragging suitcases behind them looking for their hotel. Don't punish yourself, a stay here is well worth it. Hotel offered a nice breakfast and free wi-fi for my I-phone (get password at desk). Booked a triple room which was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and went out of their way to make things pleasant. We will stay there again.

We stayed at the Abazzia for two nights, the hotel was easy to find, perfectly located in the Ferrovia district, within 5 minutes walking distance from the bus, trains, taxis and vaperetto's. The hotel itself was very beautiful inside, the arcitechure was awe-inspiring. We had a superior room which was very nice and very clean, the bathroom was spotless and the service was outstanding, the concierge 'Matteo' was very helpful and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Being next to a church you will be woken up early by the sound of the bells calling people to prayer, people have complained on this site about this but this is a catholic country and to be expected. We actually found it a very good wake up call to get up, get ready and go out exploring. Around the corner of the hotel you will find a variety of cheap coffee shops, especially Cafe Brek, the eateries may look old but they offer great food at great prices. Overall the hotel is an perfect choice and ideally located. Without question we would stay there again on our return to Venice. Many thanks to the hotel and its staff for a very enjoyable stay.

Hotel Abbazia is extraordinarily convenient, a few hundred yards from the train terminal, up a narrow alley. Although the lobby is nothing special, there is a wonderful common room - warmly decorated and comfortable, and a lovely outdoor area. The rooms were recently remodeled, with very modern bathrooms, and rather uninteresting decor. The only annoyance was the adjacent convent which rang its steeple bell every day at approximately 7 am, for at least 100 consecutive "Dings". It was especially unwelcome on Jan 1st. The seasonal rate for this hotel was quite high, so I'm rating it only a 3 for value, but it is a very pleasant and convenient hotel

We had never stayed overnight in Venice before...simply made one day trips in and out. We were a little worried about picking a place and taking a chance. I know the hotel is listed as three stars...and I think it should be higher. It's location, near the train station, Plaza Roma, water taxi systems, and the ports makes it idea for a quick visit before a cruise...as we did. Found a great little restaurant just across the bridge from the hotel. Great pizza, calzone, and beer. Oh, be sure to try the hot chocolate around Venice, blew my mind when they asked if I wanted a spoon...you'll soon understand...it was great. We made another one day stop in Venice between cruise vacations...back to back. Made a stop at the hotel. They recognized us, welcomed us to use facilities, and greeted us like long lost relatives. I'd definitedly stay again.

The hotel is a very quick walk from the bus station where the airport shuttle drops you off. And it is literally right next door to the train station. There is also a Vaporetto station right in front so it is very easy to get around the island. The staff was very friendly and spoke some of the best English we encountered anywhere in Italy. They helped make restaurant reservations and explained how to use the phone system. For the money this is the best deal in town and we would definitely return.
