Large triple room,cheap,good breakfast,quiet,easy to find,secure car parking and immediate access

Comfortable stay for 3 nights. Room was very clean and big enough. Standing balcony lovely, bathroom just right. No frills but just what we wanted as we were out for the whole day from 10 am until 12 midnight all days! Breakfast fine, great location, staff very polite and lovely. Would go back again for same reason with pal for sightseeing etc. Not a room to linger in as basic, or for romance!....

the room was basic but very comfortable and very clean. staff were very helpful and courteous. i would use this hotel again and recomend it to friends.

but staying at the Auto Hogar gave me a good incite into what prison life may be like. Dark, dirty, poorly furnished rooms with carboard sheets, ripped curtains, stained ceilings and incredible traffic noise (even up on the 6 floor) The breakfast too was bad, although enjoyed by some of our more pikey 'inmates' who made DIY lunches from solid baguettes and manky meat!. Sticking to cereal and toast was less of a russian roulette but still quite dangerous. The position isnt the best. Yes its at the bottom of the ramblas (which is a major tourist hub if thats what you're looking for) but the feeling that you are just about to be mugged everytime you step out of your hotel is not enjoyable. Perhaps these criminals would feel at home in a room at the hotel? My advice to future travellers is to head to the north end of the ramblas and beyond. Safer, more pleasent and far far away from the hell that is 'Auto Hogar'! Enjoy!

this hotel is five minutes walk from the columbus statue and five minutes from the ramblas. It is an old hotel, but very friendly. There is a bar and cafeteria. Plenty of bars, cafes and shops all around. The road outside is very noisy but what do you expect in a city centre.

Great room for the money

I booked this hotel after searching for weeks for a budget hotel, but of course i wanted the best location and cleanliness aswell as securtiy, and thats exactly what i got. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for couples, as it's a basic hotel, however is ideal for a mates holiday. It's a 20min walk from Las Ramblas, which was perfectly fine for us and there's metro stops literally everywhere. This was my 2nd visit to Barcelona and was even more amazing than the 1st time, 5yrs ago! What a city! The clubs are amazing!! The hotel staff are really helpful and polite, however we were pretty amazed when they didn't have a iron to provide their guests. The breakfast was decent and for the cost, I have absolutely no complaints. I would recommend this hotel to people travelling as friends.

The hotel was great for the price and location. The staff was very nice and helpful. This hotel is one of the few less expensive hotels that offers breakfast in the rate. The breakfast was good although it may not be what other people are used to. The rooms are a little sparse but roomy and the bathrooms were pretty big. We stayed 2 nights before going on a cruise and 1 night after the cruise. The gentleman at the front desk remembered us from the week before and gave us a little nicer room for the last night. The hotel was conveniently located near Las Ramblas and the port and the metro stop was just a half block away. I would probably stay here again when in Barcelona.

No frills but very efficient and exceptionally cheap. Excellent customer service. Breakfast much better than some I had in more expensive French hotels this summer. Situated in a very good spot for seeing Barcelona.

this is a good budget hotel but because it is so close to a huge nightclub that doesn't close until about 6am, is very noisy, especially when it closes!!Great breakfast, and close to the train station, not far from La Rambla where there is plenty of restaurants and shopping and a great place to wander

The staff where really helpful,exspecially the cute guy that works behind the desk!!The room where okay,but the walls are very thin and you can hear everything!!But other than that the location was great and we had a great time!!Bit of a bummer no Wifi and internet is very expensive!!But we will be back for sure!!Grazia

AUto Hogar, for the price we paid and the fact we were only staying for two nights, was acceptable. Our room didn't have a window however which put a real downer on the stay. The bathroom was clean , but old and stained in several unmentionable places as well as in the bath tub. The safe in the bedroom didn't work, but the furniture and bedding was substantial. The buffet breakfast was a god send. All you can eat and filling with a selection of meats, cheese and fruit as well as the old english favourite tea and coffee. Reception staff were very helpful, and the reception area of the hotel was lovely. Bit of a strange layout however as we had to walk through the car valet to get to our room. Other than that it was ok. Excellent location, right outside the metro station and a 5 minute walk to las ramblas. I would reccommend only to those who don't want to over spand, and I certainly wouldn't stay there for longer than two nights!

Hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable, but the property itself just wasn't very nice even for the relatively low cost. The same price got us substantially better rooms in Valencia and downtown Madrid. Room service wasn't great (the sheets were not changed during our entire stay), but otherwise the service was OK. Breakfast was terrible, but free... The main redeeming feature was the tiny balcony. Nothing special, but a bit of outdoor space is really nice when your room is cramped.

The hotel was a nice place to spend a few nights and the included breakfast was a good deal also. The only downside was that they gave us a double room in stead of a twin. It was obvios that we came as a couple. Overall a good experience.

The hotel had everything you need and expect. It was clean with maid service daily. The beds were comfy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was brilliant with a great variety of food. Perhaps the hotel could do with being updating and carpeting corridors to stop a bit of noise but at the price your paying there really can be no complaints at all.

Fabulous location on the main street - Paral-lel. Port is literally down a couple blocks and La Rambla is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Recommend for someone who wants great location. Be warned, however, walls are thin and if you're a light sleeper this hotel will probably make for poor nights.

the hotel was noisy, poorly equipped, expensive. It is located near the harbor, but the neighborhood is not exceptional. They advertise internet access, but there is only one computer, in the lobby, 3 euros for first 15 minutes, no wi-fi. No ice available, breakfast is provided, but not worth the effort. coffee was good.

Interesting hotel in the centre of Barcelona. Very good location, that's where it ends. Very basic accomodation, however very clean. The rooms are not quiet, you can hear neighbours talking , people walking up the corridor, people in the rooms above walking around their rooms. The breakfast was very simple, but nice, plenty of food and coffee. The reception staff were not very approachable and on the one occasion we asked them to book us a taxi to the airport, they forgot. If you want no frills, basic, and central accomodation this is your place. If you're looking for something special for a romantic getaway, don't bother.

great room for the money

Great Hotel Clean, friendly, efficient, good food all at a very reasonable price. Also situated in a great part of the city, good coffee shops, market and fashion stores, also close to metro and the ramblas!!

The hotel was very easy to find and in a great overall location. Right outside the metro stop Paral-lel, and at the base of Montjuic, it was only about a 10 minute walk to either Las Ramblas or the waterfront. The walls are thin, but the rooms are good sized, with large bathrooms. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic, with toast, beans, sausage, fruit, yogurt, cereal, donuts, cookies, etc. Staff was very friendly. The only minor complaint is that the beds are quite soft. Other than that, the hotel was a fantastic value. I would recommend to anyone looking for a cheap place to stay on holiday.

Not bad very close to the coast and La Ramblas not great for a romantic getaway and buisness trips. good for large groups and single people. staff were very good and spoke excellent english.

The hotel was just what we needed - inexpensive and very well positioned. There was an excellent breakfast on offer and the staff were friendly and helpful. All we really wanted was a base for our explorations and somewhere to crash out so we were well pleased. Walls a bit thin (very loud man near us) but hey.

Great location and price, clean, but otherwise lacking. The window was broken and would not open. The management looked at it and said there wasn´t anything they could do. The AC worked somewhat, so we were able to get by.

The hotel is in a very loud area, not near the picasso museum. Close to the port but again very loud, lots of pan hadleing, and people getting sick on the street.

The rooms are a long way from reception which seems to be in another building , first impression was bad , very sparse cheaply done room , no english channel , Internet in lobby 3 Euros for 15min . Breakfast room was like feeding time at the Zoo with that nasty coffee and Juice machine which seems to be popular over there . The only plus is that there is a diner style restaurant attached to the place. and the location is central but a bit dodgey at night .

A hotel nagyon jó helyen van, mindenhova könyedén ellehet jutni (akkár gyalog is a La Rambla vagy a kikötő gyalog 5 perc)A. szoba tíszta volt ,visszont nagyon zajos,sötét és kicsi(csak nagyon jó alvóknak ajánlom). .A reggeli az kifogástalan volt.A személyzet kedves.

Lite påver möblering - en stol för 2 personer, 1 klädhängare som kompletterades med tre till när vi frågade. Ingen hårtork men gick att låna mot depositum. Hissen fungerade ibland. Bra till priset och vi var där bara för att sova. Bra frukostbuffé

Hotellet ligger centralt i forhold til centrum og metro. Værelset var fint nok i forhold til hvor billigt vi fik det og morgenmaden var udemærket. Det trækker dog meget ned at værelset var placeret lige ved siden af en central aircondition, som gik med ca. 20 min mellemrum gik i gang og dermed larmede og påvirkede nattesøvnen. Personalet var venligt og kunne alle tale nogenlunde engelsk.

Man får vad man betalar för brukar det hetta, men i det här fallet vi fick vi betydligt mer. Rent och snyggt var det första intrycket, personalen var mycket service vänliga. Nära till Barcelonas hjärta La Rambla endast 7 minuters promenad,

Hotel où nous avions déjà séjourné. Bien situé, les salles de bain pourraient être un peu rénovées. Seul point noir ne pas prendre de chambres sur l'avenida Parallel car très bruyant. Demander à être sur l'arrière. Buffet petit déj.excellent et suffisament copieux

Das Hotel kann mit einer super Lage punkten. Die Zimmer sind schlicht und klein aber sauber. Die Betten sind mit 180 cm Länge etwas knapp bemessen.

Udemærket hotel til prisen - i Barcelonas mere farverige bydel - Raval. Det skal dog ikke afskrække nogen - Ramblaen, bjerget, havnen og meget mere er ikke andet end 500 meter væk. Derudover er der metro lige udenfor hotellet.

Jag skulle kunna tänka mig att återvända till Auto Hogar, just för att priset och läget var så bra. Frukosten var också mycket bra, vilket gör det ännu mer prisvärt. Nackdelar Det var väldigt lyhört, men ett par öronproppar i så var det problemet löst. Rummet var inte jättefräscht, men helt dugligt, duschen var väldigt skön och inga problem med varmvattnet. Ingen utsikt, vårt fönster vätte mot en 1x1m innergård och fyra andra hotellrumsfönster, med galler och stuprör.

Hotellet ligger fint ift byliv, strand og seværdigheder; dog på en meget trafikeret vej. Vi var så heldige at få et værelse, der lå ind mod gården, så nattesøvnen blev kun spoleret af fulde folk, der kom hjem fra byen. Værelset var lille, men godt indrettet, og de søde og omhyggelige stuepiger gjorde rent hver dag. Morgenmadsbuffetten er stor og af ok kvalitet; dog var tjenerne flabede og uden sans for service. Anbefaler hotellet til yngre mennesker.

il rapporto qualità prezzo è buono. la posizione rumorosa ma abbastanza centrale. la colazione self service ottima e abbondante compresa nel prezzo. tutto sommato buono.

Varken jag eller min sambo är kräsna, vi har bott på 2stjärniga hotell förr, men detta är under all kritik. Rummet var i det minsta laget och väldigt lyhört, allt som hände ute i korridoren hördes i rummet. Det positiva var att det var rent och att hotellpersonalen var trevlig o kunde engelska. Läget var oxå ett plus.

The service is good. Waiters are very kind and helpful. However rooms are horrible: I paid for a double and finished in a small room with old furniture and a 1,5 bed put in a corner. The bathroom was terrible...

Hotel med kort til centrum, dog via red lights så er selskab på gåturen uønsket er dette hotel nok ikke noget godt valg. Fin til prisen og når hotellet ikke er en vigtig del af oplevelsen.

Hotellet ligger i en trafikkert gate, tok litt tid før man ble vant med trafikkstøyen. Ligger veldig sentralt til.

Hotel is clean and good to crash there for a night, sleep and leave. I wouldn't spend a romantic weekend there though.

Hotellet var fint og rent med venligt og hjælpsomt personale der talte engelsk. Værelset var ok med gode senge og rimelige badefaciliteter, men ikke et sted man vil tilbringe en afslappende aften da der var meget lydt. Hotellet er placeret centralt tæt ved Ramblaen, havnen og med metrolinjer til døren.

Frühstück war gut. Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig, junge Gäste waren sehr laut bis in die Nacht.
