Hyatt Regency Wichita - Wichita

Hotel didn't have an outdoor pool or even an outdoor deck which was beyond my understanding. The hotel also tried to charge $12/night for parking--in Wichita, KS?? Come on, get real!! It's not like there is a shortage of parking in that city.

Great place to stay but there needs to be a social floor for wedding parties and such. My room was located between many guest that were in a wedding party, which continued till 4:30 am leaving little time for rest when doors are slamming and people are yelling all evening/morning. I'm sure it's not an everyday thing just my luck.

Okay my wedding weekend so happened to fall on the annual comic book convention held at the Hyatt that sure had to come to town and flood the hotel. There were literally hundreds of comic book characters all over the hotel. Most of them underage and very loud and annoying! I feel for the poor bride that inevitably spent thousands to have it at a venue flooded with freaks-thank God mine was at another venue! On the flipside it did provide quite the topic of conversation for all my guests and the pictures they got are hilarious!

I have stayed here twice. The first time was a wonderful experience. The second made me lose my outlook on it. I was on the 6 floor in a handicapped room because they over book the King room. Giving not only a double, but a handicapped. Second it was way to loud. At one point I thought someone was crashing threw my wall. Second the game across the river kept me up and I went to this place for quietness. Yeah I didn't get that. Then they had a conference going on down stairs that was beyond loud. So my first time..great..second time..not so great

Great, clean hotel with excellent service. In town to ride my bicycle, which they carried up to my room. Concierge helped with directions around town. In other words, great service Clean hotel and exceptionally clean room. The only drawback is the parking garage and maneuvering from the garage to the room; however, they do have relatively cheap valet service.

the hotel it's self was wonderful. very comfy, clean, and nice. my complaint was parking. you either pay to park your own car, or you pay for valet parking. we paid for valet. there was never a valet attendant. we waited over 15 minutes on 2 occasions to either drop off our car or pick it up (and we only stayed one night) If I am paying to have my car in valet...you better give me valet service!

The hotel itself was immaculate, very clean, pool and hot tub were great, room was comfy and clean and the staff was great! There was a tornado warning during our stay and the staff went out of their way to keep us informed of the situation and to reassure all the guests. The only complaint I have is that it was very noisy. Our room was on the sixth floor and it over looked part of the roof of the building and we could hear the ac units clicking on and off all through the night. We could also hear the toilets and water running from the nearby rooms whenever they were turned on or flushed. Other than that it was good!

Hotel was clean and quiet.

We had my daughter's wedding reception at the Hyatt and we all stayed there. It was a wonderful evening and the rooms were great.

Great price for a good and a relaxed stay

I was at a conference at this hotel and absentmindedly had forgotten my toothbrush. I was running late and only had about 30 minutes until I had to be downstairs. So I called down to the front desk and explained my dilemma. Fortunately they said they would bring one right up. A minute later they called to say they were out of toothbrushes and that they had sent their driver to the store to buy some more! About 15 minutes later a hotel employee was at my door with a tothbrush! Absolutely outstanding! Now that is service!

We have stayed in the Hyatt on several previous occasions & found the rooms very comfortable & quite. This time we were in room 501 & found it to be noisy, it had a connecting door to the net room. The new bar & restaurant are quite nice, if a bit over priced.

Food was great, beds very comfortable

My husband and our 2 small children recently stayed at this hotel while in town for a wedding. We thought we had found a great deal on one of the few nice hotels in downtown Wichita that had an indoor pool. The price was right (especially for a 4 star property), but what I assumed (and you know what they say when you assume...) is that all the "normal" amenities would be included. Not even close. Even though we called and inquired about continental breakfast and the front desk told us it was served from 6:30 - 10:30 daily, I was shocked when after having put food on a plate with my 3 year old son in hand, them handing me a bill for $16 for breakfast!!! There was no breakfast included with our room and they charged $16 per plate for the buffet. And there are limited options for breakfast in the downtown area, especially if you have small kids. Then, being a career mom, even though on "vacation" I had work to do. I was very surprised and very disappointed to find out that internet was not included with our rate either. We had to pay $5.99 for 24 hours of internet service. Another let down was the Starbucks counter down in the lobby. I paid over $6 for the same cup of coffee that I get at home for $3. Talk about a markup. I was definitely very disappointed in the lack of amenities included in this "4 Star" Hotel. My recommendation is to do your research on amenities prior to booking your stay.

I like the location of the hotel, very convienient to vist places.

Top notch service and top notch facilities. Very highly recommended.

If you know Wichita, you probably know the Hyatt is one of the tallest buildings in the city and recently build (within the past 8 years). It's known as a nice hotel and it didn't disappoint. It was a great stay! I loved the iPod alarm clock!

If you are in Wichita and like pools, this has to be a stop!! Not only are the rooms clean and comfy, a few minutes in the pool will help make your day. Internet deals make this a top stay.

The Hyatt is a beautiful hotel in the heart of downtown Wichita, and within walking distance of Old Town. The hotel is probably the best and classiest hotel I've ever stayed in and well worth the money.

The hotel was very nice and connects directly to the Century 2 center. It also has a parking garage for $8 for self parking. The only thing that caused my stay to be unsatisfactory was to be rudely awaken very early in the morning by the pipes with air bubbles going through the shower line. Our neighbor upstairs was taking a shower but it woke up nearly everyone close by. We called the front desk to inform them of the situation. The pipes were so loud the lady we spoke to could hear the noise over the phone. She sent the maintenance man up to explain the problem to us. I just wished we knew the hotel was undergoing maintenance at that time. Otherwise, the room was very reasonable and we saved close to $30 -$40 on the room using hotels .com

The staff was very helpful and pleasant. I picked this hotel because it offered a free shuttle to Old Town. The bed was very comfortable. I loved all the pillows.

Hotel was under construction. Hotel staff at the dest was snotty. When I got to my room, I was shocked to see that the room was about half the size of a nrmal Hyatt room that I have stayed in in the past. Would deffinatly look for a new place to stay at when in Wichita...

I liked the location and the size of the room, but with the price you would think you could get internet, refrigerator and a continental breakfast free. That was disappointing. But loved everything else. The housekeeping staff were very accommodating.

No one to wait on you when you checked in - had to use a computer that I thought was an ATM. Didn't even find it for a good 10 minutes standing there waiting. Checked out the same way - except for a "text" message that required me to walk up to the counter and have my information verified, which they didn't do. Not impressed with the service. When I asked for a restaurant recomendations they told us Olive Garden and Fazzoli's. I was looking for a nice local Italian restaurant and they recommended a chain and a drive through joint. Needless to say we ventured out on our own and ended up at Abuelo's which was Mexican and great. Room was clean and comfortable, but not worth double what we'd been paying for the other clean, comfy rooms we had stayed in on our trip through Oklahoma and Texas. Great pool and workout room. We had it all to ourselves, but otherwise everything we wanted to see was really on the East side of town, not the West where the hotel was located. If you like to be left alone - very alone, this is the place to stay.

I am staying here whenever i have to go Wichita. This hotel is 10 times better then the broadview. I highly recommend.

View of river and riverwalk was easily accessable and beautiful. I thought paying customers should have free acess to hotels parking garage. Room needed small refrigerator.

This is a very beautiful hotel. The hotel is in a great location with great views. The only complaint that I have is the rooms are on the small side and you would think that for the money you spend per night it would at least have a refrigerator and the water would be complimentary. The best thing about this hotels is the views.

We loved everything about the hotel, except we couldn't get anything delivered to our room after 11 pm. Apparently, Wichita closes down sometime around 10:30 pm.
