Mundial Hotel - Lisbon

We were really impressed with this hotel. Great location for sightseeing in the centre - rossio square what more can you ask for.Breakfast was brillant and you can get a sleep in as last time for breakfast was 10.30. Plenty to choose from, fruit, bacon, eggs, cold meats & salads.Beautiful breads etc. Very clean rooms with big bathroom. The reception staff were very helpful and answered all our questions as what was on and directions of places i.e train station. The only thing is we wanted to stay another night but the rate was v expensive we were told we would have to book it on line(obviously we didnt have our laptopwith us and couldnt be bothered looking for an inter net cafe) Definitely we will return when we get a chance.

we were visiting Lisbon with my 21 year old son who was there for a rock festival. rather than book 2 rooms I looked for a triple and the Mundial came up with the goods. There was an outer area with a single bed large lamp and small table, then the next area had the bathroom and wardrobes (ample for 3 people) and then the main twin room with a door for privacy should we have needed it. Excellent for our needs. He arrived back from the festival at 3am and, because his bed was quite separate from ours, he didnt even disturb us.

Front desk staff not particularly friendly or helpful with directions to local sites that close to hotel. They were also not particularly friendly at check in. ALso, snack bat service that was advertgised was NOT open as indicated outside of restaurant hours.

This hotel is very centrally located. However we arrived by taxi and the immediate area around the hotel gave us cause for concern, and we were wondering had we made a mistake. Once we got our bearings it was easy to avoid the small area of concern and we were quickly into the modern squares. The Hotel is abit oldfashioned but very clean. Most but not all staff were helpful. Overall you get better than you pay for

Pros: a really nice hotel with an excellent room - my double contained two wash basins and a sofa plus an excellent view of the castle all at a low price. Perhaps best of all is the location - it's difficult to envisage getting nearer to the town centre than this, Cons: beds were hard and breakfast choice was quite low. Some of the hotel staff at reception could be more friendly but no serious issues.

The hotel was in a good location, room was clean and staff was pleasant. More or less what one would expect from a standard European hotel for this price. I would not recommend this hotel solely for the pillows...1 1/2 inch firm foam rectangles do not constitute pillows. My companion and I both didn't sleep well due to the pillows.

The hotel is older than I expected. The room and hotel needs renovation to stay at a 4-start hotel. Breakfast is nice since it's included. No business center for free internet access. I did not bring my laptop so I do not know whether wireless internet was available. The location is nice, right around downtown, easy public transportation all around.

Stayed just one night with 2 others. Enjoyed the location,city on our doorstep, nice view for breakfast. The service was pleasant, breakfast was very good. room was a good size but windows couldn't be opened. Had to rely on air conditioning to cool room, prefer fresh air. Good value

located about a block from the main city square, the Rossio; close to many sites. our room had a beautiful view of the Castelo de Sao Jorge, Lisbon's ancient fortress which is illuminated at night. a clean and modern hotel.

Location is great, but this is not a 4 start hotel... Small room, noisy. Make sure you do not get a street facing room.

I would say this hotel is American 3-Star. It's very conveniently located in the center. It's a 3 minutes walk from all stores, restaurants, etc. Tram to the castle stops right in front of the hotel. Premises are clean and pretty comfortable. Construction outside caused a little noise but once windows were closed noise was gone. Restaurants and bar are decently priced and pretty accommodating. Conclusion: great hotel if you need a decent and not very expensive place to sleep in the middle of the city

Les commentaires étaient élogieux. nous confirmons après y avoir passé trois jours.quartier calme.arrêt tramway près de l'hotel. chambre spatieuse, très propre, en dernier étage (8ème ) et donc avec une vue superbe sur la ville. Petits déjeuners très bons et avec beaucoup de choix. Accueil sympathique. Possibilité de louer une voiture (agence avis) en relation avec l'hotel.l'agence de location a son parking sous l'hotel.pas de temps perdu pour partir en excursion sur une journée.

ottima posizione,classico hotel internazionale adatto al turismo,come al business. personale efficente, camere confortevoli, ampi spazi comuni, colazione ottima e abbondante, parcheggio in loco gratuito.

Nous sommes restés 5 jours dans cet hotel, nous y avons surtout apprécié la propreté de la chambre et sa situation géographique qui nous permettait d'être sur la place la plus animée de la ville en 5 minutes mais aussi de prendre le métro ou le train très rapidement. Cependant un soir, nous avons dû supporté le bruit de quelques touristes dans les couloirs.

Centralt läge med tillgång till allt Lissabon har att erbjuda. Rummet ganska litet men med bra kvalitet. Bra sängar. Badrum med dusch och badkar, det finns dessutom både hårtork och sminkspegel med förstoring. Frukost med det mesta man kan önska. Flera restauranger, bl a två med fantastisk utsikt över staden.

Meest uitgebreide ontbijtbuffet van onze gehele rondreis door Portugal. Centrale ligging in het centrum. Weinig verkeersgeluid aan de achterzijde. Gratis parkeren onder het hotel. Zeer correct personeel.

Dette hotel kan ikke ligge mere centralt. Det har måske givet den ekstra stjerne. Hotellet er et gennemsnitlig 3 stjernet hotel og ikke et 4 stjernet som det er klasificeret. Små værelser med væg til væg tæppe og lange store gardiner. Morgen maden er OK. Det er muligt at parkere sin bil i kælderen da det ikke tilrådes at køre rundt selv i byen. 24 timers kort kan købes for 4,2 € og gælder metro, bus, og sporvogn.

Dette hotellet er et veldig godt alternativ dersom man reiser til Lisboa for å oppdage byen. Beliggenheten er veldig sentral, noe som ihvertfall vi så på som en stor fordel da Lisboa jo er en forholdsvis stor by. Rommene var romslige, fine og rene. Frokostbuffèen var bra og det var god service på hotellet. Hvis vi skal komme på noe negativt var det at det var kun twin beds på rommene, ikke dobbeltsenger. Men i og med at man kunne flytte sengene sammen var ikke dette noe stort problem. Hotellet kan anbefales på det varmeste!

sehr gut gelegenes, sauberes hotel, freundliches personal, trotz zentraler lage nicht zu laut. kostenfreier parkplatz in der tiefgarage.

io e il mio fidanzato siamo stati a lisbona dal 16/02/09 al 22/02/09 di cui i primi 3 giorni al mundial.L'hotel è molto bello,pulito assolutamente centrale e la colazione ottima.Non mancava assolutamente nulla.Un bagno spettacolare con due lavandini e sempre molto pulito e curato. Lo potrei tranquillamente consigliare a tutti però è pur sempre un 4 stelle e quindi costa qualche euro in più ma vi posso assicurare che li vale tutti. A chiunque volesse andare a lisbona vi consiglio solo di fare attenzione ai taxi ... sono moooolto cari!!!!!

Även om vi normalt föredrar små, genuina hotell har detta sin stora fördel i sitt läge i staden. Man har gångavstånd till det mesta: Alfama med sina charmiga gränder och små krogar, affärerna i Baixa och Bairro Alto. Dessutom några meter till spårvagn 28 som tar en på en introduktionsresa i alla dessa distrikt. Biluthyrning i samma hus. Man blir dessutom mätt på frukostbuffén.

Das Hotel ist ganz OK. Allerdings sollte der Schimmel an den Fenster entfernt werden.

Emplacement très central, très facile pour découvrir le centre de Lisbonne. Transports en commun également à proximité. Petit déjeuner copieux et varié.

Das Hotel liegt am zentralen Platz (ROSSIO) in Lissabon. Vieles ist zu Fuß zu erreichen. Außerdem sind Haltestellen für die U-Bahn, die Strassenbahn und den Bus vor der Tür. Es ist eine grosses und anonymes Hotel mit gutem Service. Das Frühstück und auch die beiden Restaurants sind ausgezeichnet. Kurz, ein gutes Touristenhotel.

Non è paragonabile a un hotel di 4 stelle italiano!

Un'ottimo compromesso tra qualità e prezzo. L'hotel è in una posizione davvero unica per raggiungere tutti i siti di maggiore interesse della città, che è bellissima. La fermata del tram 28 è di fronte e la fermata della metropolitana a 400 metri. Dall'aereoporto poi ci si arriva comodamente con l'aerobus, ma anche in taxi i costi non sono eccessivi.
