Splendid Hotel - Paris - París

The staff was great and helpful! The rooms were clean! The location was the best, walk to the tower and cafe areas. We had a great time in Paris! Can't wait to go back!!

This is in a great location, near the Eiffel tower, several metro stops, and many little shops and restaurants. The room is certainly small for the cost. It is warm, with no air conditioning, so be prepared. It was clean, the staff spoke English and were very helpful. The amenities list Secure Parking, but this is not the case; we expected a parking garage. Parking is on the street, no designated spaces. We had no trouble finding a spot nearby, and parking is free on the weekends! All in all, it was a good place to stay for a weekend if you want to be right in the city.

Hotel rooms small but clean adn in a great central location for the money paid. Reception manager top class, polite and funny!

This was our second stay at the Splendid Hotel and we will not stay anywhere else in Paris. Our huge balcony had an incredible view of the Eiffel Tower. Th staff was also very nice and helpful. Tip: Eat lunch at the gyro shop across the street, great food at a great price.

Our first stay, would recommend to others. The view from our balcony was amazing. Taxi was always available in front of hotel. The service was outstanding. The front desk was always pleasant, knowledgable, and English speaking. We enjoyed our stay.

We had a superior double on the second floor with a balcony with a view of the Eifel Tour. We sat out on the balcony and watched the Eifel Tour light up at night on the hour with sparkling lights. We enjoyed our stay and hotel is in a convenient location.

The neighborhood is great, the hotel location is very convenient.

The hotel was sittuated in a great location, very near all tourist attractions, the staff are very friendly, rooms were well presented a bit on the small side but liverable. Good view of the tower from our room. The only complaint was no coffee or tea making facilities in the room. Being picky now. Would use again.

Just minutes from the Eiffel Tower, numerous cafes, the Metro, and the must see, Rue de Cler! Hotel front desk was super helpful and guided us to restaurants (Vin & Maree!!!)and activities. Splendid Hotel is a perfect first timer's place to stay!

This hotel is perfect if you want to be able to see the eiffel tower from your room. It was very romantic, and although the corridors and rooms are a tiny bit basic the hotel has everything you need to enjoy paris. It is right by the metro and there is a very very friendly indian restaurant opposite! The staff were very helpful and the desk was manned 24 hours so it didn't matter that we came back late. It honestly takes your breath away when you see the eiffel tower out of your window especially at night when it sparkles! Would definitely recommend this hotel!

We could see the Eifel Tower from our window and it was only a 10 min walk away. The hotel was clean and staff extremely friendly. Room was small but cozy and clean. Located right next to the metro...it was perfect!! We highly recommend Hotel Splendid. We did not have breakfast included in our stay but it was a delight to walk to the nearby bakery and grab fresh croissants and other pastries.

Very nice room with great amenities compared to others I have stayed in in Paris. Good location and our guests loved the view of the Eiffel Tower out of the window.

A very enjoyable short break.We had a great stay at the Splendid Hotel ,bijou rooms but everything comfortable , clean and very quiet.A wonderful view from the balcony of the Eiffel Tower at night.

The travelers who gave this hotel such rave reviews must have been sleeping on the streets prior to thier stay here.Our list of comlaints are too numerous to list here. The rooms are TINY, even for European standards. The hotel and room wreaked of urine. The manager was ALWAYS rude (e.g. did not want to refund us for a computer use card that DID NOT WORK!!!). One night, the nightshift desk clerk fell asleep with the door locked so a number of us were unable to get in. And yes, you're required to turn in your room key whenever you leave, for "security purposes". This is the only hotel during our 3 week European trip that didn't include breakfast in the price. If the location is what sells you on this place, the Derby is right next door (there are quite a few other hotels in the immediate area) and besides, the view of the Eiffel Tower involves craning your neck. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DIVE

From the moment we arrived the staff were very helpful and checked us in without any problems and were brilliant for the duration of our stay. The room was wonderfully clean with a nice comfortable bed and although small the bathroom was fully equipped and very nice. The best part of all was the view from the room, we stepped out onto the balcony and could see the Eiffel Tower - it was perfect. Perfect location for some very nice restaurants and the metro station was near-by. Within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower, L'Arc de Triomphe and Champs Elysees. I would recommend this hotel for anyone taking a trip to Paris, we couldn't fault it.

We Had A Fantastic Stay In This Hotel, The Location Is Great. You Are One Street Away From A Metro Station So It Is Really Easy To Get Around. If You Don't Feel Up To The Metro There Is A Taxi Rank Opposite. You Are Within Easy Walking Distance Of The Eifel Tower & Lots Of Bars & Resturants. Room Service Was Great & Very Efficient. Our Room Was Decortated Nicely With Art Deco Style Furniture & Comfortable Beds. The Greatest Thing About This Hotel Though Was It's Staff. All Of Then Were So Friendly & Helpful. We Would Definately Recommend This Hotel.

I have travelled extensively and have to say this was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. My friend and I (from America)booked a double superior room for one night. The listing said rollaway beds were available, which was not the case. We met up with a friend who lived outside of Paris. He was with us when we checked in. Being jet lagged, my friend and were wide awake. So, after a late dinner, we invited him back up to our room for a cocktail. The hotel manager on shift told us that no visitors were allowed in rooms after 10PM per hotel policy. This policy was not explained to us at check-in (even though our friend was with us at the time) nor is it in any of their written materials. The hotel insisted that either our friend had to leave, or we had to book a second room. We offered to pay an additional fee to add him to our room (even though he did not plan on sleeping there). The hotel would not budge, and threatened to call the police if he did not leave. The hotel did nothing to rectify the situation, making threats instead of offering solutions. So, at 2AM, we packed our things and left...going down the street to a hotel who welcomed us - all three of us - with open arms with a better room at a lower price. In all of my travels, I have never been treated with such disrespect and patronizing stubborness.

The hotel is situated within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower (it took us 15 minutes at a slow pace through the park). The hotel was very clean and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was a little small, but having stayed in another hotel in Paris before, it seems that all hotels have similar sized rooms at this price. This is a very nice hotel and we would definitly return here.

The hotel staff was exceedingly helpful and courteous. We had a wonderful view of the Eiffel Tower from our balcony and the location is very convenient to the metro and many tourist sites (by public transport or walking). The only negative from our perspective was no air conditioning (though they did provide a small fan). We would definitely recommend the hotel to others and would stay there again in the future.

Since this was my first experience traveling overseas, I was uncertain about hotel accommodations in a foreign country. My wife and I arrived three hours before check-in time, but we were allowed access to our room. Management and staff were friendly and always available to help us with any questions we had during our stay. I will consider booking there again.

Dest staff should remember to ask guests the night before their departure if they will need the airport shuttle the next day. excellent service from housekeepers

Hotel Splendid is in a fantastic location, being just blocks from the Eiffel Tower. If you simply open your window and pop your head out, you can see the tower, right from your room. My girlfriend was ecstatic. The room is a little small for the price, but a private bathroom was a nice addition. Abel at the front desk was very welcoming. They use metal keys, and ask that you turn it in to the desk when you leave the hotel to tour Paris. The bathroom was a little dirty upon our arrival, but was cared for in the consecutive days. If you are going to Paris for a romantic visit, stay at the Hotel Splendid.

The Splendid is a quirky small hotel with a geat location near the Eiffel Tower. There are several good little restaurants in the neighborhood. Staff members speak English and are very friendly and helpful.

The rooms were very clean, the staff was excellent. They were very nice and went out of the way to help us in whatever we needed. The only problem was that they advertised in room safes, and the one in our room was broken. We did not complain because we didn't want to change rooms after dragging luggage all over Europe. It was not a huge inconvenience, but I was uncomfortable not having it.

Hotellet ligger i en koselig og rolig gate, og ca 4 min gang avstand fra eiffel tårnet. Hotellet er lite, men sjarmerende med kjempe bra service.

Evaluation positive,Chambre un peu exigüe mais on n'y est pas souvent. Personnel accueillant.

We went just for a night and it was a great location to catch the major attractions. However I think that for a longer stay it would have been a bit uncomfortable. The bed, blankets and pillows were not the best and the room was really tiny.

Pleasant, helpful staff. Room was to modern standards, but the small bed, which has seen many guests, was not. There was a strong smell in the corridor.
