Sam's Town Hotel & Gambling Hall - Las Vegas

This hotel is off strip but it got movie theatre inside and a lot of restaurants on site too. Many things to do there and also the service was excellent. The front desk service at check-in and check-out was outstanding. Will return again.

Hotel was overall O.K, however to much smoke, need a better system.

I have reviewed this several times before- nice place with a good location for me. This time they wanted to try and upsell me from a standard room. The last few times I have been in a king bed room- much more comfortable that the 2 queen beds I had this time. Thought I was sleeping on a rock. Overall- not bad- watch the resort fee- they used to charge me a $1 and now they chanrge $4.50. Still not bad compared to some others but.......

I enjoyed our stay, the room was quiet, and clean. It was a great rate, and very easy to check in/out. The only thing I'd like them to change is the pillows - very stiff.

This hotel was a very good hotel for a very good price. Our kids really like the indoor waterfalls (not huge, but cool) and the light show.

Great value, and lots to do for both adults and children without leaving the property. This was third time staying here.

This hotel delivers value for the money. Rooms are comfortable and provide the amenities expected. Even though not new the room was clean and in good repair. Only negative was the front desk was always busy and there was a line every time. Overall an excellent choice with enough available options that you don't have to leave the property unless you want to. Would stay here again.

The check-in and check out lines were outragous. As I was obviously and awkwardly pregnant at the time I expected to be offered some help with our luggage or at least a cart but no such luck. I was however, given the farthest room at the end of a very long hall. The restaurants in the hotel are rather pricy and the TGIFridays is a definate must avoid. Saying what they got right about the meal and service would take less time than what they did wrong. I did not try the buffet so I cannot comment on it but I hope it was better than the sit down restaurants. The room was spotless, and the bed nice and firm, but there was only a half-size comforter on the bed and only three pillows for a two person king. We were informed that we could only have another two pillows, and frankly I expect that kind of behavior out of a motel six and not a nice theme hotel in Vegas. I do have to say that the extra pillows were delivered promptly. The AC in the room was not functioning anywhere near as well as it should have, but as I didn't mention it to the staff I cannot comment on how fast they would have been to fix it. I was so exhausted after the long check-in and treck to the room I was not about to deal with moving rooms. My suggestion to you is that you spend a little extra and get a nicer hotel. If you have stayed at Sam's town in the past, you won't know it now.

The rooms are fantasic. Pool and spa open 24/7. You have your choice of hotel resturants plus many different fast food places all within the hotel/gambling hall. Example:McDonalds,Subway,Panda Express. There is even a Walmart right accross the street.

great value! stayed here multiple times and never a compliant re: room, cleanliness, or staff.

WE WERE SOOOO PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!! SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. HOTEL AND ROOMS WERE SPOTLESS. IF YOU WANT A RELAXING LAS VEGAS GET A WAY, GO TO SAM'S TOWN. THERE ARE PLENTY OF FOOD CHOICES, MOVIES, SHOPPING, BOWLING. I HOPE YOU GIVE THEM A TRY. YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED!!

I was disappointed when entering the bathroom, the tiolet was'nt cleaned. There was a pair of men's boxer shorts hanging from the bathroom door hook. Open safty pin laying in the fllor of the room. When checking out there was a additional hotel service fee, for unlimited local calls , shuttle service which we never used.

Large clean rooms with all the conveniences avaiable in the hotel. Great buffet and restaurants also great. Laser show a must to see but go to shows after dark for best viewing. Exceptional services avaiable for those with handicaps and all public Vegas buses are handicapped accessible even for scooters!

Except for the drive to Sams Town - the room was really really nice for the price I paid - the machines were decent just don't get greedy and take what you get :) I loved that there is a WalMart right across the street for the little things you forget and don't want to pay $5 for at the gift shop - the movie theatre and arcade - something for everyone - without the hassle of the strip

The only problem,I had was my 2nd nite, people smoking in room and hall way, On a none smoking floor

This was our second stay at Sam's. One of the things we like best is the cinema complex connected to the hotel. It was a great break from the gambling and noise. We saw "Julia & Julie" and enjoyed it very much. The staff was very friendly and helpful!

The layout of the hotel was easy to adjust too! Loved the lobby and waterfall-garden area. Fantastic laser and water show nightly! Plenty to do and see in the hotel but if you want to go the strip they have a shuttle! We would definitely stay her again!

This hotel has a beautiful water feature, and some great shops. It was definately a great stay for a very low price.

The Hotel was great, room was very nice and clean. Lots of entertainment, close by strip.

Great deal and lots to do in the casino. Especially liked the bowling ally and movie theater for kids. However, shower did not work properly and did not drain. Beds and pillows were okay but not up to the plush standards of most hotels now.

Over all the Sam's Town Hotel is very nice and clean the only draw back are smokers, They are ever were ,I requested a non smoking floor the Hotel has 8. BUT some people just don't get it they just smoke in rooms and hall ways My 2nd night,I was just able to get about 3 hours of sleep do to the smoke smile was so bad, house keeping did come up and replaced a/c filter and sprayed room down and hall ways after I had went down to the front desk like 4 times

I paid exactly what Hotels.com said I would. I have in the past from other online services been given a price and then when I check-in I have to pay a hotel fee I did not know about.

could not get transportation from the resort to the airport. Hotel did not help get taxi out to airport.david

Room phone does not work, engineer shows up to replace. Ac monitor indicates it is not working, ac filter is filthy. Engineer shows back up to repair the ac and replace filter. Now I notice that the sheets on one of the beds has holes. This is all at midnight. Next morning there is NO HOT WATER for the shower. The entire third floor has no hot water. Stay away from Sam's Town

Sam's Town is a great place to be away from the main strip of Las Vegas. It has small shops within, theater nearby, bowling alley and lots of eatery places.

I had a doctors app in Vegas. I didn't want to pay the price and deal with the hassle of the strip. When I saw the price of this hotel I thought for sure that it must be run down or in a bad neighborhood. Nothing could of been further from the truth. It was so nice. The guy at the front desk was so nice and helped us with everything. I was there with my year old son and mom. It was so nice because he loved the water show. It actually kept his attention for the full fifteen min. Anyone that has had a tired little one would know how amazing this is. I plan to stay there for further stays.

I heard about the hotel from a friend and she said it was really nice, so we took her up on her advice and she was right-on. Sam's Town is great. We stayed on a Sunday and a Monday night at an extremely low rate and got much more than we paid for. The hotel has just about everything for a family or even just a couple to go and hang out for a few days to a week. They also include a shuttle to the Strip or Downtown Las Vegas, which we took and the driver's are very safe. The hotel is super clean. I had to call maintenance for a clogged toilet (not the hotels' fault) and the maintenance guy was there right away to fix the problem. The two things that bothered us was the hotel room doors squeaked so we heard our next door neighbors coming in and out every time and the t.v. was hard to operate. Once you get the hang of it it's okay. All in all we are definitely going to stay there again and again. Can't wait to see it during the holidays!

Sam's Town was excellent in every way except one, the # of TV channels. I know they want you gambling not watching TV but we don't gamble.
