The hotel was very nice. Great room, nice sitting room and small gym. Best of all was the location. You could walk to anywhere in Dublin. The only drawback was the street noise on a Saturday night in Dublin. Maybe the rooms in back were quieter.

Without the stellar deal through hotels.com, we never would have been able to afford to stay here, but we're glad we did. It was central to everything, yet off the beaten path enough to leave the window open at night. It's a stuffy business hotel, but comfortable and has free internet usage in the basement in the residents' lounge.

The rooms, although a bit small, are very comfortable and clean. The maid service was excellent, and the hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. This hotel is located in an ideal location to see all that the Dublin City Centre offers - Grafton Street, Trinity College, Dublin Castle, famous pubs, etc. I will definitely stay at the Brooks Hotel again when next I'm in Dublin.

The Brooks is perfectly located in the best part of Dublin, with lots of nice pubs and restaurants and independent boutiques. Service at the hotel was better than a budget traveler like myself would expect: Written phone messages, chocolates on the pillow, newspapers at the front desk, etc. It had a nice-looking resident's lounge with two internet enabled PCs, and WiFi throughout building (as far as I could tell -- didn't try WiFi myself.) Rooms were tasteful, if on the small side. We had a cute bathtub which might have seem small to some but was just right for me (5'4"). If you were facing the parking garage across the street your view would've been not so nice, but Room 600, among others, looked at the Victorian-era market building across the street.

sobre value="10""Extremely friendly and comfortable hotel"
Comentado por Umber, deBoston, MA, el jun 24, 2009
I stayed here for two days while I was visiting Dublin. The room had all the amenities I'd expect from a hotel of this class. The bed was extremely comfortable. The shower had good water pressure. The only negative I can offer is that the towels were just okay -- not very fluffy. The location was good -- within walking distance to Temple Bar, Grafton Street, St. Stephen's Green, Trinity College. One nice perk is the business center where you can print things for free. They also offer free wi-fi. However they do charge you to use the the line in the room -- even if you are using a phone card. If you misdial the number (as I did), you get multiple charges in the process of trying to place the call. One tip: the hotel staff may leave your window open so be sure to check and close it before trying to sleep -- since with an open window there can be quite a bit of noise from the street (from nearby pubs). With the window closed, noise was not a problem. The staff were extremely friendly and very responsive to any request. On the second day, when the concierge saw me for the first time, he seemed genuinely concerned that I had not sought him out for advice or help. The only disappointment was that my hotel room was not ready until after 3 p.m. -- although this is fairly standard in the hotel business and I had not thought to call ahead to ask for it to be ready earlier.

This is my second stay at the Brooks Hotel. My first stay was in 2005. This hotel is absolutely perfect! It is a gorgeous little boutique hotel that is conveniently situated between Grafton Street/St.Stephen's Green and the Temple Bar area. It is within walking distance of many of Dublin's attractions. The hotel has a lovely modern decor, yet the rooms are very charming (decorated in a country-French style that you would expect to find in a B and B). They are fairly spacious, and very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They offer their guests a pillow menu that allows them the opportunity to find the perfect pillow for their comfort. The restaurant offers delicious food. It is a bit pricey, but the quality of the food is excellent. I have travelled extensively throughout Ireland, and this is my all-time favorite Irish hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We enjoyed our stay at Brooks. The management went out of their way to accommodate our needs and to make our stay very enjoyable. The location was close to City Center and the shops and transportation around the area were convenient. The best hot chocolate I've ever tasted at Butler's Chocolate Cafe, also great coffee, chocolates, and pastry.

We booked a two night stay in a Deluxe room - was very disappointed with the size of room, would have got a bigger room in a Travelodge!! Room could also have been doing with a dust!! Was very noisy at night (room was at front of hotel, across street from a very busy car park and adjacent to a night club). apart from that, hotel was very comfortable, staff were really helpful, and it certainly didn't stop us having a great time in Dublin.

The hotel is lovely and located in a very good location. I have upgraded to the "deluxe" room but was unimpressed by some details that made our stay feel a bit less special. As my partner and I suffer from allergy, we were thrilled to discover a "pillow menu" allowing us to choose the pillow we wanted. Unfortunately, the next day, the goose feather pillows were still in our bed... lets go for another round of sneezing! Other details, like the shower temperature switching from hot to cold with no reason or no cold milk for the cereals for the breakfast serves in the room (I forgot to tick the "cold milk" option - but I thought it was obvious enough that you need milk in your cereals!) made us feel a bit unsatisfied. However, I have to say that the bed was very comfortable indeed and the room lovely - although a bit small to my taste.

The Brooks Hotels is a great location for exploring Dublin. It is conveniently located and makes walking to many of the tourist sites very easy. At most it is a 10 to 15 minute walk to see just about everything you find in the guide books. The hotel itself is nice with good amenities and a helpful and friendly staff that make a stay there very enjoyable. The hotel restaurant and bar seem to offer pricing competitive with neighboring pubs and restaurants.

Overall a nice hotel, within walking distance of most of the big attractions in Dublin, as well as train and bus lines. Watch out for the razor sharp corners on the nightstands, and the showers aren't really user friendly. Also, save yourself some money and walk 2 minutes down the street for breakfast instead of paying full price at the hotel.

the Brooks Hotel is to date the best hotel I have stayed in in Dublin. Spotlessly clean, brilliant breakfast which they offer for ten euros if the breakfast is not included in your hotel rate. Well worth the ten euros with choice of Full Irish Breakfast with home baked scones and breads, fruits, yoghurts, cheeses etc. etc. The room was very comfortable although a bit on the small size for a deluxe superior room. The bed was a double which they separated into two by only a few inches. There was no outlook from the room but that was not a problem for me at all. There was an ice making machine right outside our door so that was a bonus. You could had a pillow menu where you could order from a choice of different pillows. The towels were changed twice daily. All in all a very decent hotel right in the centre of Dublin and only a stonethrow away from everything. The staff were lovely Irish people. Will definitely go back.
