The rooms were not ready at check-in time and when we inquired about the status, the shift manager could not get an answer out of housekeeping. On the second day, we left for sightseeing, returned at 5pm, and the room still had not been cleaned. We had to wait an hour till it was done. Management said it was a new cleaning service, but was very unapologetic for trouble and made us wait for answers for too long. We had friends drive in from another city to stay in that hotel and their room still had dirty glasses and old room service food in it! The morning we checked out at 10am, the cleaning staff banged on the door at 7am as revenge. Internet service in Business Center did not work and both printers were broken. The one good employee was a bell boy (Matthias); he was apologetic on behalf of his bosses, kind, efficient, and helpful. Also, the restaurant owner prepared a special meal for the vegetarian, but it was a bit pricey. I will never stay here again and have discouraged my German friends from doing so as well. Absolutely terrible!

We loved the Hotel and although the riverside location was very nice indeed it is a little far out if one does not feel like a 20 minute walk in the evening. The taxi from the hotel to the old bridge cost E10.00. Expensive if you use that both ways!! They also did not have tea or coffee making faciclities in the rooms which in my opinion is essential these days.

This hotel is very nice. Great service and good breakfast. The location isn't ideal for vacationers, but works fine for business travellers. It is a $5 cab ride to the Altstadt from the hotel (or $1 if you tak public trans). The only thing that needs improvement (as do most hotels in Europe)is the air conditioning system. Other than those 2 issues, I highly recommend it.

+: Clean room, great service, polite staff, nice breakfast, nice view, good gym facilities. -: a good 20-25 minute walk from town's high street means that by the time you get there you're tired and by the time you get back you're sober. If you're a couple ask specifically for a room with a double bed because they gave us 2 semi-doubles. I don't know if that's their standard room type.

We requested room with internet service, but it did not work, wasted 2 hours for worker trying to fix it. There is business office, where you have to pay 2 euros for 20 minutes but it does not connect to aol, which was not told to us. If you do not need internet, hotel is okay but is not walking distance from city center.

The Staff is Service oriented, the rooms are great, it is a Marriott, the location is lovely on the river and only a block from the Tram that takes you all the way to the old town in a couple of minutes. The breakfast buffet is huge if you get to it. But the noise/music from the wedding reception in one of the conference rooms was non-stop until 2:30 am. Every staff person was apolegetic and they all said it would be over in ten minutes, from 10:30 on. We called the desk four times, and even went down at 2 am. No other rooms. They offered a free breakfast, that was already included in our room. Since we pre-paid the attitude was well we can't do anything on the price. Nice. They get paid. The service gets paid. And they shift blame from one to the other. So no sleep in the most expensive hotel of our trip. They gave me the business managers card but neglected to mention that the office is closed on the weekends, when we checked out. And the desk incorrectly told us the time for the breakfast, so we missed it. It ends half an hour earlier on Sundays because of the Brunch special which happens to start when you have to check out. We have stayed in Marriotts all over the world but this is the first time they essentially said this is not our problem we already have your money.

Super Hotel mit schönen Wellnessbereich, zu Fuss zu weit in die Innenstadt, aber ideal für alle, die nach 5 Stunden Sightseeing auch relaxen wollen! Qualität ist top Marriott Kette halt !
