This is a top class hotel set in one of the best areas of London. Our room was excellent, service was excellent and the Afternoon Tea was all it should be. Don't forget the Hotel's dress policy however - you cannot even visit the bar unless you wear a jacket and tie.

I had high expectations for this hotel, and I was not disappointed. My daughter and I treated ourselves to one night at the Ritz on our way to Paris. It is everything you would expect from a luxury hotel.

I was extremely pleased during my recent stay at Ritz London. The hotel is elegant and has a rich history. The staff is attentive in every way. The entire experience brings to life the phrase "puttin' on the Ritz".

Beautiful luxurious rooms with copper plumbing, vaulted ceilings, and various ornate embossments make you feel like royalty. However, when we flip on the in-room hairdryer, the lights go out. We had two rooms and both were oppressively hot even though we ran the weak air conditioning on full blast for five hours. A bedside brochure boasts about the high quality (and presumably expense) of the bedding, but that investment is rendered comically obsolete when it's too hot to sleep.

My husband and I went to the Ritz London for my birthday weekend, April 19, 2009 and stayed for four nights at the Ritz. We had an incredible time. The Ritz is perfectly located to all things London. The Green Park tube is across the street, The Wolseley Restaurant is next door, Fortnum and Mason is a block away and Buckingham Palace is a 10 minute walk. We even took tea at the Ritz which is one of those things you just need to do in your lifetime....if you're into that sort of thing. Be warned, however, that there is a strict dress code in the lobby and restaurants....no jeans or sneakers. If you're fine with that, you'll have a lovely time. Everyone was very helpful and friendly...not the least bit snobby or rude. We loved our room and were even upgraded. The Ritz is VERY old world....we even had to leave our HUGE REAL KEY at the concierge desk whenever we left the hotel....which sounds like it might be a bother, but it was very charming and helped establish our relationship with the conceriges and porters......we just loved it!

Excellent hotel, unbeatable location. To access the bar you need jacket and a tie, which is a little bit of a nuisance.

Comentado por A, deCroydon, el ago 24, 2008
We recently spent 1 night at the London Ritz for our 15th Anniversay. We were not disappointed by the quality of the hotel nor the excellent service. The dining room is a real treat and makes you feel very special indeed. Dont forget you jacket and tie and plenty of money. This sort of quality comes at a price ! But for a special one off occassion it is very hard to beat.
