Guest House International Inn & Suites - Wichita

The desk clerk was not friendly and didn't even ask for identification. The room had spiders and ants, when I called the desk the next shift clerk was rude as I seemed to disturb her television show. The second room had a dirty washcloth hanging on the shower rod and the pillow cases smelled of men's cologne (don't think the bed was changed). Mildew on the ceiling and shower walls. The pool gate was open with no safety latch. A big concern. I was very disappointed

Hotel is not worth the money

Not a great hotel for the money.

This hotel was clean and comfortable, but I believe there is new ownership and would expect some changes are to be made. The carpet had spots and was old, which I could easily overlook because of the diligence of the household staff. My room was thoroughly cleaned every day, beds made and fresh linen. The towels were of much better quality than one usually finds and the staff was pleasant and very helpful.

Our stay was very good. The room was clean and the breakfast was great. The only problem was we checked in on Saturday. On Sunday I reported the jacuzzi did not work. I was told every day it would be fixed by evening. We checked out on Tuesday and it was never fixed. This was one of the main reasons for choosing the hotel.

What used to be a great deal is now a big dissappointment. Mgr's special at night - NOPE. Hot breakfast is biskets and bad gravy. When she got off the phone, the receptionest insisted the internet had '7 routers' and it is working! When shown, by comming to the lobby - it wasn't working in the 'business center' either - she called someone who was to 'reset' the system. By morning, the system still didn't work. BUT, there is a new sign tellng of new management!

I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel after reading some of the reviews. Yes the hotel does need some updating, but after staying at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas just a week ago I would rather stay at this place.

I have no other complaints except the bed was very hard...

Creepy. arrived late (10PM) attendent, while friendly enough was dirty and unprofessional. Hotel smelled of mold and mildew..would not have stayed, but too late to move. I cut stay short here and moved hotels...needs major renovation and cleaning

this is a sign at the check in that states "once you check in you have 30 minutes to object to your room or else you have to pay for the full rate" ..this sign should have warned me..........problems with the hotel =phone did not work...rug was dirty...dust all over the room..bathroom had mold all over....A/C did not work very well..blankets on the 2 beds were dirty and had holes...the outdoor swimming pool area was very dirty and the trash cans around the pool were overfilled when we arrived on saturday and still overfilled when we left on sunday....I have a long list of problems but these are some of the worst ..........

The best thing was the breakfast bar. The hotel did NOT have the pool up & running. They were working on it but it was a very hot weekend...very disappointed. The bed was VERY firm so if you are not a "firm" person you need to bring something to soften you sleeping. The water presser was very bad when you tried to turn up the hot water. Reported to desk...did not offer anything for the inconvenience. Would work for a couple day stay but could get tired of low hot water & firm bed sleeping if on longer stay.

Room size is great, it's big and spacious. However, the bed are little small for double or queen size. The floor have the old carpet smell especially when you first enter the building. Other than that it's great.

the beds were comfortable, the breakfast was better than others but not as good as the last time we stayed. Only major flaw was there was mold in shower not in splash area but up high on wall.

It wasnt the hilton, but then what is? The room was very clean, we were able to get anything we needed with no delay, it was quiet, and was very close to several local resteraunts, a supercenter and other retail stores. Very convienient. Worth every penny.

I WAS VERY UNHAPPY WITH MY STAY. THE HOTEL PERSONNEL WAS VERY RUDE. THERE WAS SOME PROBLEMS, THE HOT TUB WAS OUT OF ORDER AND THERE WAS NO BREAKFAST. THERE WAS MOLD IN THE BATHROOM. THE SOAP THEY LEAVE FOR EVERY GUEST WAS OPEN AND HAD ALREADY BEEN USED WHEN WE GOT THERE. THE MAID SERVICE CAME BY AT 8:30AM AND WHEN TOLD WE WHERE STILL SLEEPING THEY NEVER CAME BACK TO STRAIGHTEN UP THE ROOM.

The outside door that was reorted broken in a previous review was still in disrepair. The bed was extremely hard, which is fine for some people but not for me. The arrangement of the room was awkward for relaxation and t v viewing.

The Rooms were nice and clean, The free breakfast was not that great, it was just ok,, dont leave anything in your car, two cars down from us the car was broken into the night we stayed there and we were told by the manager that they have had problems with break in's lately, I would park in the front of the hotel the next time..

The people were very nice and acomadating. But they advertised a hot breakfast and there was nothing but a brown paper sack with dounuts and a apple. Then I went to sit in the spa it was out of order. They did not say anything about all this online when I made my reservations. Or I would have stayed somewere that had a hot breakfast and a hot tub.

You could tell the hotel used to be quite impressive. However, our room was small, no fridge or microwave, and the bathroom had mold on the tub.

But be sure to get to breakfast early because they ran out of food about 2 hours early.

It's cheap, but you get what you pay for. For the price it was okay, but it was not what I expected. If I had not booked my reservations online and prepaid I would have stayed at the Marriott instead. Oh, and there is NO elevator.

and it's getting improved. We happened to come at a time when the hotel is in a managerial change so it's a work in progress. The rooms are decent they just need a little remodeling/updating and I think that the new management will do so

The room was large and well furnished. Had some wear, but was clean and everything functioned as it should.

We were traveling from Texas to Nebraska and needed a place to sleep for 8 hours...this hotel served that purpose. Nicer on the inside than I expected and it provided a clean room (tub/shower needed some work) for a cheap price.

The hotel was a value considering the price paid. The rennovation was nice in the lobby, but the room could use some more work. The breakfast was great, very complete with something for everyone.

Shower didn't drain while showering. Bed was hard.

I am sure they are doing the best they can with what they have, but they could do better. The hotel overall is dark, probably to make the worn out carpet less noticable. The room was clean and looked good, but the bed was a slab of concrete. In the morning, I was surprised to find there was no hot water for the shower, I guess that was their way of helping you get up in the morning. The staff seemed to be run a little ragged but they were friendly and accomodating. It could have been a much better experience.

Not only had a larges well equipped room, had a good breakfast and nice manager's reception when we got there.

I made the reservation for Clubhouse and when I got there it was Guesthouse. I had stayed there last summer and it was great for the money...Now it is run down and the quality has dropped considerably.

The hotel was a good price, but very run-down. I was exhausted and fell asleep immediately, but would not use their services again.

I like staying at this hotel because the rooms and service are typically good for the money. This last stay did not meet my general expectations. First, it appeared my hotels.com reservation could not be found. This was rectified before I left, but I got the impression that the employee that checked me in did not know as much as he should. Second, our wireless internet connection did not work and the guy at the front desk could not help. That was frustrating, even though we were able to get email at the terminal in the lobby. Finally, one of the external doors was broken forcing us to leave and enter from the front. I understand maintenance is required, but from the looks of the sign on the door, it had been that way for quite a long time.

the only thing I was dissappointed in was the blanket on the bed was worn out

We were driving from Iowa to Texas and just needed some where to sleep for a few hours. It was more than what we needed it was a HUGE room and it more than met our needs......very clean too!!!

Note that the hotel has changed its name, so looking for a Clubhouse Inn sign leads to frustration. Once I finally found it, I was quite satisfied with the room. The breakfast buffet was not bad.

We loved everything about the motel. It was clean and nice. It had the best breakfast. The location was awesome. The only thing that would of been nice was that there was no TV guide in the room. The Channel ll did not always work. But everyone was friendly and the spa was relaxing. Thank you for our great stay. We will be back. Bobby and Ella Carter

Customer service was impossible to get a hold of prior to checking. Upkeep of the hotel is terrible seems to be old and falling apart. Old carpet throughout hallways and room. Smelled musty and had a stench of stale smoke throughout. Our room had potato chips on the floor and one of the towels had a stain. Mattresses not very comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good though, I'll give them that much. It seems that at one time this might have been a nice place but it needs a major overhaul. We stayed one night and cancelled the next 3 nights stay and went to another hotel for a little bit more but was worth it.

We were pleased with the room. It met our needs. If you are looking for a super fancy room, this may not be your best choice. The hotel was comfortable, we were there to see the town so we spent little time in our room. We were pleased to find a mini fridge and microwave in the room. There were no ashtrays in the smoking room, and the noise level was a little loud as the building was old, and the doors slammed shut all around us. The staff was super friendly when we checked in, but we did not encounter them during our stay because we were only there to sleep. The location was great, right next to several key places in the town we were in. We have and will stay there again.
