My wife had stayed at the Palace 10 years ago. It is now a member of Leading Hotels and had either 4 or 5 star rating on various sites. We found an average hotel, with dated public areas and room (rather small). Be aware of costs for ancillary services: both wine at the bar and laundry service were stunningly expensive.

This was our second visit to this hotel, very conveniently situated in the heart of Prague. We had booked a non-smoking junior suite. The smell of smoke in the corridor was evident as soon as the lift doors opened, although there was no smell in the room. The ashtray and matches rather belied the fact it was, however, not what we had booked. Room itself was a corner room with a small ante room that was only large enough to pass through. The breakfast was excellent with no complaints as to quality or choice. The staff, on the whole, were extremely polite and approachable. Only exception was when we came to leave and it was suggested by the Bell Captain on duty that we use the hotel's limousine to return to the airport. When we declined he called a private taxi that certainly sounded (and looked) far from healthy. It did not correspond with the overall impression the hotel seemed keen to convey.

A top-flight hotel with impeccable service. Upon arrival, we were offered complimentary champagne because we had to wait ten minutes for the room to be readied. From the marble bath to the sumptuous breakfast buffet and the omnipresent classical music, the hotel pampers its guests in every way imaginable. I could not imagine staying anywhere else while visiting Prague.

I am wondering who was in charge of giving 5 stars to this Hotel. Maybe I was not lucky but I stayed for just one night in this Hotel and it was enough. The bellboy very grumpy, the remote control of the TV did not have batteries, the bath was broken and finally when I was going for breakfast the lift did not have lights inside. I would not mind to have this kind of complications if had not payed the amount of money what this Hotel charge on the basis of its 5 stars. I must say that the guy of the reception was lovely. However, the last straw was that I had to pay 30 euro for the car park service. This last thing made me forget that some people were very nice.

Hotel was fabulous, well worth the 5 star rating. Centrally located, round block from Mustek metro station, concierge VERY helpful with advice & booking things. Only had breakfast there but it was very good. Highly recommended !

Centrally located, easy walking to Wenceslas Square and shopping area. Room was very comfortable and quiet. The included breakfast was the best of our trip! Supermarket and money services within 5 minutes walk. Great staff. Overall very positive experience.

The hotel maintained a strong service orientation however the hotel seemed a little past its prime and not as well maintained as one would expect for a five star rating.

We enjoyed our three days in the hotel and all the staff were very helpful. The rooms were fair-sized complete with desk & coffee table and the bathroom was marble throughout with shower over bath. Breakfast was very good and we had one evening meal which was excellent and the maitre de was a bit of a character and encouraged the pianist to play some scottish music etc. Drinks in the hotel were over-priced at £27 for four drinks. We went round the corner, down an alleyway and on the left found a pub where same round was about £6! Bar in hotel was quiet, no wonder!

I think the hotel was OK overall, but certainly not the 5 star category (who gives out those stars anyway?). The service was good, the breakfast good and plentiful, the location central, but not prime central for tourists. It is a beautiful art deco, but it needs a major facelift. The carpeting in the room was old, faded and dirty...definitely not even 4.5 star! At least the bathrooms were new and updated...great marble and good amenities. My conclusion is that it is overpriced and overrated.

We spent three nights in the Palace Praha over Christmas. Our room was big, nice, and clean. The service at the Palace was top notch. We utilized the airport pickup and drop off service arranged through the great concierge services. We had an additional be brought to the room for our 6 yr old, which was a full size twin bed. The full service bar is open 24hrs, and is a great place to wind down after a day of sight seeing. There is free internet access from a computer in the business center. The breakfast buffet was a great way to begin the day. Excellent selections of meats, eggs, pastries, bread, cereals, and juices. Overall, we thought the hotel was an excellent bargain for a 5-star hotel.

Var her 5 netter i juli 2009, hadde et supert opphold, kan absolutt anbefale hotellet til andre.

Dejligt hotel med fantastisk morgen buffet Super beliggenhed samt rigtig god service

Hotellet var verkligen i tiptop trots att man i år firade 100-årsjubileum. Jag slogs med en gång av tyngden och tjockleken på dörren till rummet. Ingen tvekan om att här skulle man få sova ostört. Det skilde sig verkligen från Paris där man såg ljuset från korridoren genom dörrspringan. En annan fördel med hotellet är att det ligger väldigt nära både spårvagn och tunnelbana och inom gångavstånd från i stort sett alla sevärdheter vi besökte i Prag. Närheten till restauranger behöver knappt nämnas, det finns i regel två, tre restauranger i varje kvarter i den delen av staden. Vi besökte nya ställen varje gång vi åt och service och standard på maten på alla ställena är en bidragande orsak till att vi redan nu bestämt oss för att återvända till Prag framåt sensommaren.

Veldig bra hotell, god service, alt fungrte bra. Ideell beliggenhet, sentralt.
