I don't even know where to start!!! The hotel might have been nice on the 90's BUT..... its 2009!!! Paid for king size suite, got standard room queen. So, filthy!!! Hair all over the bathroom. While taking a shower the water would not drain. No complimentary newspaper "as advertised" Etc.......... But none of what I have mentioned before was the worst that happened...... How do you feel about being woken up by an "emergency alarm" telling you to stop what you are doing and get out of the building NOT USING ELEVATORS, when you are on the 14th floor???? I guess it would be OK if there was an actual emergency going on, but what about... "Oh, they were just doing some maintenance work and they activated the alarm. I am so sorry, you can now go back to your room!!!! **@#! Are you serious??? **Keep out**

This was a difficult hotel to locate in downtown Miami. To my surprise when I arrived the front entrance was under construction so I was not able to pull in to the front of the hotel, but had to pull over to the side of a very busy road. I was not told about any other options to park my vehicle other than their valet parking which was $25.00 per day. An unexpected expense for me. The drapes in my room were not working. I was unable to open them and they had tears in them as well. The view I had was the the roof top of the floor below me and a parking garage. Upon my departure I discovered there beautiful water views on the other side of the hotel. Over all I was not pleased at all and would not return.

The general setting is alright. The cleaniness was acceptable and tidy enough. However, the staff are not so helpful. The internet option is tricky! Although it is stated in the room booking that wireless internet is available, it was found ONLY available at the 1/floor hotel lobby. Despite the tricky ad, the internet quality is not good. The wireless signal was poor, and the connection breaks on and off. It is totally a disaster if you are doing business online. Further stay is not recommended!!

The hotel staff was so flexible, attentive and accomodated us in every way. It's an older hotel but still in very good shape. My son and I were very happy with our stay and would stay there again!

This hotel is located hehind another hotel so ur GPS can't tell u how to get there. THE STAFF WAS HORRIBLE so were the beds...it looks like something out of a horror movie. I'd rather stay at a motel

Yes, you have to pay $2 a day for the safe like it or not. I wound up using it so no big deal. Not really a "continental breakfast" but I was told that at the front desk when I arrived. But there are a number of nearby places that have a decent breakfast ($ to $$$). Oh, yes, park on your own and save a couple $ a day. Public overnight is very closeby. You can use the Metromover to get to Bayside and etc. and the Metrorail to get further away. Room was clean (except behind night stands - vacuum please). Pillows - could have a little more substance to them. I wanted something close to work (downtown) and at a low price because me and my wife was there for tenting of the house and not really vacation. I arrived afraid of what I would encounter because of the negative reviews but left very satisfied.

Good if you are looking for a cheap option to stay in the Miami area...easy access to main freeway and others...However there's no hotel owned no parking lot, you can pay to park your car somewhere else but is quite expensive...

shitty room maintenance (bathroom sink was clogged when we got there. breakfast was a joke they gave u one cup of orange juice and two pieces of bread lol. other than that i liked it there.

First of all the hotel staff was the most rude people I have ever met. When we arrived there it was almost 1am because the hotel is in the worst location. They have hidden fees, the charge you for a lock box whether you use it or not. Also there is no parking when you get there, they tell you they will vallet park your car for $25. They don't mention that on the website. You have the option to park in a parking deck which is free only til 7am then if you don't get up and pay they will give you a ticket. The room was dark and some of the lights didn't work. The toilet didnt want to flush. The guy parking the vallet cars was mean, rude and talked about us with the hotel clerk right in front of us. The only good thing was the price, you would think it was a deal but it's definetly not worth it. If it hadn't have been that late and the fact that we had a very small child with us and had been driving for twelve hrs, we would have rather slept in our car.

The hotel is in a prime location along the river in downtown. It was very clean. The bathrooms are updated although some of the furniture is not. The bed is very good. A suite has two TV's and lots of room for guests to sleep. The staff was very helpful, even though I was a late (2AM) arrival. There is free internet access in the lobby, with also free computer use. I enjoyed my stay, good value for the money.

after a long wait someone finally came at the front desk. I gave him my ID and went to collect my luggage, I came back after 2 minutes and I found my ID on the desk and the front desk staff wasn't there anymore. Anyone could have taken my ID. Complimentary breakfast first day, really better go outside and pay. Complimentary airport transportation unavailable. For any need you can be sure the hotel staff will not help you (if you can find them). Swiming-pool with floating papers very dirty (I spent 2 days, and they were not windy days)

the only thing that I can say is don't go to this hotel. Is not good, the hotel service is bad, the condition of the room is bad, the Surrounding neighborhood bad, hotel doesnt have parking lot you have to pay 25 dollars per day. you have to pay for a safe box that you never use.

We needed a hotel for one night and were pleased with the rate and location. We arrived at 3 in the morning and were greeted by automatic sliding glass doors that did not open until I pushed them open. The credit card machine for the valet did not work and when I tried to pay with cash they didn't have enough change. When checking out the next day I found out that the valet had actually charged my credit card. After checking in we had to carry all of our bags to the room ourselves because there was no buggy on which to put the bags and the front desk clerk was of no help in trying to find a buggy. Once in the hotel room we found urine on the toilet seat. The bed was hard and extremely uncomfortable. The front desk clerk for the day shift was just as rude as the front desk clerk for the night shift. When the valet brought my car to the front he did not bother to help me with my bags. An all over terrible experience. There's also a fee for the safe that must be paid even if you do not use the safe.

ok first of all the hotel safe deposit even if you dont use,room deposit, plus manadory valie parking of $25 dollars and if you dont know area, you are stuck. the room was not clean very old lookin.The drawers in dress had a 2 inch gap in them.Breakfast was coffee/juice and small roll.Will never stay there again. Needs alot of improvement its gives hotel.com bad rep.

Walked in and the lightswitch didn't work, room was very dark, tv kept randomly turning up, remote would quit working but would work again if slammed on side table, blowdryer also quit working til slammed on towel on counter, breakfast is not offered until you ask for it, and even then you have to be given a ticket for it, and it's only offered from 8-9... The one positive thing I will say about this crummy hotel is that when we got there early to store our luggage, at 9am, we were checked into our room. That is the only positive thing I can think of. Guess you do get what you pay for. Will never stay there again!

I had to attend a convention nearby and this hotel cost about 1/4 of the price of the hotel next door. Given the difference in price, it is definitely worth it. However, I had to keep in mind that this is what I asked for... a cheap hotel. Maintenance is kept to a minimum. Cleaness is barely appropriate. The facilites are nice, but are not proactively taken care of. Every room had different amenities (and different furniture). Most of the rooms are lacking some of the basic amenities, like alarm clocks. The suites are nice, but the regular rooms can be too small. The lobby and some of the hallways are full of expensive decorations (like big lamps, statutes, golden figures, etc.) that don't necesarily match the concept of the hotel. Even though I pre-paid, they forced me to pay an extra $2/night for a security box that was broken. Some of the rooms have refrigerators that are rusted and don't work. Some people used the sink as a refrigerator... they got ice (the ice machine is at the 9th floor) and placed the food there. It is an interesting place... a good option for the price.

The hotel was perfect for what we needed. we wanted some where close too the cruise line terminal and the riverpark hotel was just that. the suites are perfect and spacious. the bathroom is beautiful the beds are comfortable the lobby is is beautiful as well. the only thing I didn't like was that we had to pay $25 dollars for parking but in the long run it was worth it because we went out about ten times during the day and night and the valet service bought the car back each and every time we went out. YES I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE.

Great use for clients visiting from out of town and the price is right. It's not 5star and is older hotel but if you need a good place to sleep, shower, and change for a brief business stay-it's great. The price is so cheap it's a no brainer.

It was in a great location and I enjoyed my stay. Clean, and Quiet. Not enough towels were available in the room and parking was an additional fee they charge you to park right outside the hotel. But I would stay again.

I was very surprised to see how my room looked pretty and cleaned for an affordable price. I had some friends of mine who paid the same price at another hotel and were very unsatisfied with their rooms cleanliness and comfort. Therefore, I recommend other people to go to river park hotel and make their own judgement.

Even a five star hotel in this area is in a bad neighborhood. For the price the hotel was fine. There was not a coffee maker in the room and the hotel served coffee for only one hour in the morning with a tiny cup. No where to eat nearby or to pick up a cup of coffee unless you want Hispanic food only.

Basically what my Review Title says. My room was clean enough, and cable was working (didn't have a laptop to test the internet). I had a great view by the way. But yeah, soon as I opened the closet, the door fell off a hinge, the thermostat cover fell off when I tried to adjust the temperature, and I clearly heard the people upstairs getting it on twice in one night. But the location was perfect for me. I didn't need to be picky, and I wanted cheap. I wouldn't stay at that place if I were going to stay at a hotel for an extended period of time, but for 1 or 2 nights, I doubt you can find better bang for your buck. The hotel lobby wasn't bad either. Just don't go out late, 'coz the surrounding are is not the safest at night. God bless!!

Awesome Miami location at a discount. It's nothing fancy, but it met the needs of my quick stay in Miami. I didn't even spend any time in the hotel so it was perfect!

The hotel was in poor condition, the staff was not helpful or friendly at all. Room had NO hot water, and when I told the staff about it, their reply was "some rooms are better than others". The beds were lumpy and uncomfortable. I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone I know. Very unsatisfied overall.

HOTEL IS A GREAT LOCATION TO GO SEE THE MIAMI HEAT CAN AND GREAT COMMUTE TO SOUTH BEACH. THE ONLY THING THAT I DISLIKED WAS THAT THERE WASNT ENOUGH TOWELS FOR THE ROOM WHEN NEENED.. THE STAFF VERY NICE AND HELPFUL

My wife and I wanted to stay one night in Downtown Miami, to just walk around and explore the city. All of our expectations from this Hotel were met at a great price, even though it could use a little "face lift". The Room was clean and we can recommend this Hotel to any person with the same basic needs!

The worst about our stay is the peoples at the front desk-everybody we met except for 1 person was unpolite. they make you feel unvished as a guest. The room was dirty,the toilet didnt work and the aircondition was very loudy. The whole hotel needed renewing

My family and I went on a cruise and chose this hotel for the location and price. we were very dissapointed. the room was partially painted,the bathroom was not very clean,there was hair on the floor, and it smelled.the hotel is also located right next to a public train system so it's very loud. the continental breakfast consists of a muffin and a cup of juice. they have a bar area,but no drinks. overall very dissatissfied. will not stay here again nor would we recommend this hotel to anyone else

This was an ok hotel, definitely older and in need of updating. Overall, it was clean, but a little rundown. The surrounding area seemed to be strictly a business district which for our weekend stay meant only 1 eating establishment open within several blocks. Everything was closed. The complimentary continental breakfast was a small cup of juice and 2 small pastries. It was a fine one-night stay to catch a cruise the next day, but overpriced for the condition of the hotel.
