we had a great experience at this hotel. it was clean, and the service was great. we had a couple issues with our remote control not working for our tv, and a service man cam right up and helped us out. the room was very clean and much bigger than we expected. overall, we had a wonderful experience at the hotel and would go back again.

Clean , comfortable and quiet - what more can you ask? My family of 4 fit in fine. But, like other reviews have noted, the pillows are tiny. Location is great - right at Herald Sq. Even the gym was pretty good - more treadmills than most and even had real dumbbells

Arrived tired at 4:00 PM for check-in and sent away for 90 minutes (room not ready) and bell hops not helpful in holding luggage during the wait. Room had little toilet paper upon arrival, ran out! No parking available through the hotel and poor explanation of exactly how to pay for parking. Front desk unfriendly and generally not helpful. Tiny room! No recourse because the room was prepaid through hotels.com. Similar experience with Radisson in Phoenix in April. Will never use Radisson again!

Construction was going on at the hotel. I could hear jack hammers through the night and the noise kept me awake. This is unacceptable to have loud construction going on when paying guests are trying to sleep. I also could smell cigarette smoke coming into my room vents even though I was on a nonsmoking floor.

The hotel was in a great location: short walk to Times Square, Empire state building just around the corner, in the middle of a shopping district with the big Macy's store. Quiet room, even at night. The room was a little small for the price, but I guess that's New York!

although very nice about it, my room was not ready when i arrived at 7:30 PM. They gave me drink coupons for the bar asked me to come back in an hour. I did not drink this trip, so I left the coupons. The room was ready when I returned, but the check-in area was a mob scene with all the other people whose room was not ready. temperture control was an issue also. Other than that, it was a decent place to stay.

This hotel was great for the money. It was in the exact location we needed and only 8 minutes from Grand Central via taxi. It was clean even though under some construction. My only complaint, was that I did not get a smoking room as my reservation requested.

Location was brilliant with Empire State Building and Maceys close by, Times Square just a short walk away. The room was well appointed with hair dryer, iron and ironing board and coffee pot. We were ill while visiting so the multi-channel TV came in very handy to distract us from our coughs and sneezes! The bed was a bit on the firm side, no fridge in the room (I think it was being refurbished) and ice machine not working. But the room was very clean, staff was courteous and all-in-all we were satisfied with what we got for our money.

If you like second-hand smoke, this is the hotel for you. We had reservation for 4 nights - nonsmoking rooms. At first we were pleased until the 3rd day when second-hand smoke was pervasive. We are allergic to cigarette smokes. Some engineer came up - his explanation was poor, saying that each room has their air-condition unit so second-hand smoke could not come through to the room. Did that mean each room has it's own air duct? - hardly. The so-called engineer wanted to spray air freshener. Air freshener only masts the odor & introduce other volatile chemical substances. He also said maybe the people who stayed in our room before us smoked, despite our telling him we were in that room for 2 nights already . Accordingly the hotel manager was going to give us another room to switch to & was going to call us "in a few minutes" which extended to the entire night - NEVER call us for switching room, NEVER provide another room. 50% of the nights we reserved and stayed we were subjected to second-hand smoke. It ruined our entire stay in New York.

Location of the hotel was pretty good, but many of the other features were less than expected. When we arrived, we waited a very long time in line to check in (almost 15 min) because they only have two people working the desk for a lot of guests. We were then told we were upgraded to a better room than the one booked. At first I was very pleased to hear that. When we actually got to the room though, it was extremely small and oddly shaped, including a very tiny bathroom. I wonder what the room we would have gotten was like, this in my opinion was more of a downgrade. Some of the outlets did not work, the mini bar was empty, and even though some literature we had said the use of the safe was free, it actually wasn't. They also have a "sleep-number" bed as the mattress. It was very uncomfortable, had a weird frame, and made a lot of noises even with slight movement. We didn't spend an enormous amount of time in the room, but it was still less than desired. Will stay elsewhere in the future.

great service. brillant food , room excellent would stay their when back in New York

I was delayed a night in New York and needed a hotel. Even though this was in tourist central, it was a very nice experience. I had to wait a few minutes because my reservation hadn't come through yet, but as soon as it did, everything went very smoothly and the staff was very warm and friendly. I would recommnend this hotel to business travelers if your work is in Manhattan. If you are traveling to another borough, it isn't very convenient to getting out of Manhattan.

Great hotel, nice location. Subway (Herald Sq) metro station is just outside the hotel and Penn station within 1 block. The hotel is close to Madison Square Garden and Manhattan Mall, so plenty of shops nearby. The hotel itself was very clean, beds comfortable and there is restaurant inside the hotel. But they are remodeling and it could be noisy at times and I had a problem with the bathtub blockage. But I still think it was a great hotel at a great location.

I stay here very time I go to NY...Always clean, clean, clean. Always so convenient, and the staff is great!

This hotel on its best day is a 2.5-star hotel at best. Everything about this hotel looks, smells, and feels old. Plus, it's in one of the Manhattan's noisiest, smelliest, dirtiest neighborhoods. This hotel is way overpriced. You've been warned.

Rate was good for last minute reservation. Good location if you need to be in the garment district. Would stay here again. Friendly but needed more that one front desk check in person. Comfortable.

the hotel is decent, you are really paying for the location. no major bedbugs or anything like that, which I consider a good thing.

Location was excellent, however this was really the only good quality the hotel had. We had trouble with room size, and service. Our stay was not worth the money spent.

I was expecting something good but what I got was great. You cant beat the location, walking distance from everywhere. Room was a bit small but I was looking for a place to stay not live so it didnt matter. Room super clean and staff very knowledgeable about where real action is.

The room was small, as most rooms in NY City, but it was clean. Some problems with key cards not working and the room was not ready when we got there (past the stated check-in time). We wondered at the time if it was a ploy to get the bell hops some money, because we stored our bags while we walked around the city. Good points: two blocks from Empire State Building, subway stop right in front, small park one block away.

The hotel location and accomendation were execellent for the price. The staff were very helpful from the bellman to the front desk staff. When visting New York City I will always try to reserve a room there. My daughter loved being in the heart of the action. If I get Knicks tickets this year I will try to stay there. Thanks Steve

This is a central hotel close to Macys and theGrayline open-top bus route, walking distance to Times Square and a clean and welcoming hotel.

The room was very small, but the location and price easily made up for that. I would definitely stay here again.

frontdesk receptionist are not friendly. if you call for service because even TV is not working, they did fix it. the service in their restaurant is very slow too.

The Martinique is well positioned just steps from Broadway. The room was typical NYC, just one half the size of a normal hotel room. The size is common to NY, but with this location and easy access to the subway, you will only be sleeping in the room.

This hotel is convenient for anyone staying in mid-town Manhattan and a reasonable value at the Hotels.com price we paid. It is, however, showing its age and the staff was less than helpful when asked for directions, dining suggestions, etc. Food in the cafe was good but service was erratic.

hotel is undergoing some restorations- we were upgraded to a penthouse (whic was not bigger or better than a regular room in any other hotel we've stayed in)- but was on the top floor. -- the view was not anything but the back of the hotel. - & due to a mishap w/ some construction crews- no cable throughout the hotel all weekend. --very nice location. however parking fees are a little steep. rooms are clean and staff is very accommodating.

Hotels.com your selection was great. The staff at RMB was extremely helpful, front desk upgraded my room (no reason) and assisted me with early check-in. Now that's service! Location perfect- Empire State bldg, Macys, Time square and MSG. I'll definitely stay again.

The hotel was nice. Check in quick. Housekeeping good. Location okay (about 11 blocks from times square). Great hotel for sleeping in NYC for the price we were very happy.

Very close to everything. Nice little restaurant for breakfast right there.

The hotel was in a very good and safe location. Their concierge desk located in the gift shop was very helpful.The employee; Rebecca was very inforative and helped us to get some tours booked for our stay. A one stop best. The hotel is located right in front of the Empire State building and straight down from Penn Station. It was convenient for us as we got off the train from Penn. The rooms were a bit small, but adequate. If you have more than 3 in your party, then the room is small, but still adequate. It was clean, comfortable and you can pay for a rolling bed for four people. Less then 3 people, then enough room. But overall....would stay here again.

The hotel was very nice , older but well maintained . The room was clean and comfortable but a little small . The only problem we had was with house keeping . We left our romm at 1:00 pm and it was never made up that day . The next time they made up the room they did not leave any water or the extra towels we requested . The manager did make things right and gave us some food gift certificates . There is a very nice restaurant on site , good food and good prices with a nice atmosphere .

The hotel appeared to be understaffed. There were long lines at the front desk which made it impossible to report problems such as the telephone in my room did not work at all, the soda machine dispensed the wrong soda, the shower never got hot and did not drain, to name a few...The only positive was the bell captain was very nice and helpful.
