Blue Rainbow Aparthotel Royal Garden - Edimburgo

We enjoyed our stay at the Royal Gardens. The room was very large & a great value for the money. The staff was very friendly & helpful. Good location. A little street noise at night.

This place is great. Free muffins and fruit in the morning. Free glass of wine early evening. Very central location. Clean spacious rooms with well equipped kitchens. I do a fair bit of travelling and could not find fault with this place - Excellent value - Excellent service.

Was very impressed by our room - not cheap but definitely worth it if you feel like shelling out a little more for something special. The view was lovely - overlooking the mountains and harbour inlet of Edinburgh. The staff were very keen to help and we had everything we needed. Separate bedroom/lounge/kitchen areas are so much more comfortable than the run-of-the-mill teeny tiny room with ensuite. All within a ten / fifteen min walk from the main high street. Lovely !

I have stayed in many hotels in Edinburgh but this was the best! Beautiful building, lovely spacious rooms, as central to the city as you can get yet away from the noise of they city. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely value for money. Disappointed that the breakfast wasn't great (muffins and fruit) but there are places in Edinburgh which cater for that. A stay you will NOT regret!

Nice location. Just a few minutes from center or station of Edinburgh. All staff in the hotel is very helpful and friendly. We could have water and breakfast for free. Room is very practical and suitable for long stay. It is really like a home.

Great apartments, even provided milk for coffee.Great location -5 mins from centre of Edinburgh , yet really quiet .Free coffee & muffin for breakfast , - we will use them next time

Our one bedroom apartment was well stocked and faced a quiet back garden. We had a brand new copy of The List magazine in our room as well as a great restaurant guide. The light breakfast and tea and coffee machines in the lobby are a nice touch. A great find, especially if you plan a long stay in Edinburgh.

The rooms were great, really big, huge bathroom and clean. The location of the hotel is perfect to explore the city from. The best part of this hotel is the staff. Very friendly (more than I can say about the local taxi drivers!) & helpful and had good knowledge of the city. I would definitely stay here again.

Dont go anywhere else in the capital. Close to city centre for shopping and nights out. Very clean comfortable room and helpful , friendly staff. We will definately be back

This very well located near transportation, shopping and all the Great sites of Edinburgh. We were located in on of the Garden level units and the only negative to the unit was a strong "Musty" odor in the Bathroom that was hard to mask; The Bath was quite clean otherwise. Inspite of that, I think we would very happily stay here again.

We got a room in the basement, which was not so great (nasty carpet for one) and seemed to be reserved for people not booking directly with the hotel. However after a few days they let us change rooms and the one upstairs was very nice. I'd just be very careful about where they put you. The hotel staff is so friendly, and there are lots of extras free (laundry, internet, wine every afternoon, muffins for breakfast) that make the stay really nice. Location is really great too. If you get a nicer remodeled room it'll be a great stay.

This is not a hotel. It's a little flat in town. It's nice enough... with all basics (soaps, towels, pots, pans, etc) and simple, functional, modern furniture. The idea is that you self cater... or eat out for all meals... and if you cant get shopping together, it comes with a pint of milk in the fridge plus all the makings of tea and coffee.. plus there's a help yourself capuccino machine in the lobby. The big 'family' advantage is that if you've got young kids you can put them to bed, sit in the living room... and have a night in after they have retired. Not so easy in a hotel unless you can get adjoining rooms. It's not posh or pretentious. It is done to a high standard though. Beds were good. Bedding was fine.

The room/apartment was nice but there were some odd problems. 1) The box of tissues had 3 in it, and the hotel staff could not come up with another box of tissues. 2) the windows barely opened (6 inches max) and there was no other ventilation source. 3) the wiring was odd, you had to have the foyer lights turned on to make the fan work in the bathroom! The location was good, the room was quiet, and the bed comfortable. The kitchen was very convenient.

Chose room instead of hotel stay. Great to get separate living room and bedroom. Bathroom up to hotel standards. Added advantage of full kitchen with milk and water waiting for me when I arrived. With a Sainsburys 4 minutes walk away it was easy (and cheap) to make my own meal in the evening and for breakfast. Only small quibble I had was I had to ask for a ethernet cable to connect to the free broadband service. Cable was very short, limiting where I could work. Otherwise v pleasant.

Best part of the stay? A lot of space, which was really nice. Worst part of the stay? The bed was completely awful. We stayed for six nights and didn't get one night of rest. The bed is large, but it's two sagging beds pushed together with an enormous hump in the middle. Parking was also a nightmare and we ended up paying about 50 GBP ($100 USD) extra because we were not given proper instructions on where to park.

The hotel is close to train station, sightseeing bus stop and many good restaurants. All within walking distance. The personnel were most helpful. A firmer bed and mattress would be the only improvement I could recommend for this hotel,but that is a personal preference. Great coffee machine!! in lobby.

Great location just opposite the National Potrait Gallery. Rooms very comfortable and spacious - ideal for relaxing after a day sightseeing.

I cannot really find anything bad to say about this hotel.From its location,to the room comfort,personal service and tasteful decoration,it really was a great 3 nights that my family enjoyed there.I would say that maybe something hot for breakfast could be added,instead of muffins and coffee,given that edinburgh can be a bit brisk weather-wise.We stayed in the Heriot 15 room and were very satisfied,although here comes my only real complaint. They need to change the mattress,as it was bowed in the middle and it should be of a higher standard in accordance with the rest of the room.

We got a large 2 bedroom apartment with a sleeping coach in the living room. Plenty of room! Just a few minutes walk from Princess street. Recommended!

Et dejligt lejlighedshotel i centrum af Edinburgh. I gåafstand til de fleste seværdigheder med en beliggenhed i et rolige omgivelser med en lille have!

Vi var en gjeng på 7 personer som bodde i 2 leiligheter(med 2 soverom og 2 bad i hver). Denne leiligheten var over all forventning. Personalet var utrolig hjelpsomme med alle henvendelsene vi kom med. Jeg kan så absolutt anbefale leilighetene her som ligger midt i New Town, kun noen minutters gange til Princess Street.

Central location, apartments are a very good alternative to a hotel room. Free internet requires a cable which is supplied by hotel. Comfortable & friendly staff. Misses a "5" only by some small details: bathroom amenities didn't get refilled, the kitchen misses a blender, a juice squeezer and basics like oil.
