Best Western Princess On Portland - Manchester

Although our stay was brilliant and the service was first class, we were a bit disappointed to find empty sugar tubes in amongst the complimentary ones. The room itself was very comfortable, and the beds were faultless. All service downstairs was excellent and although we did not dine in we were offered drinks in the bar one evening. The only other complaint we have is that the shower was broken so we were unable to use it, as it had no dial. Overall though we would return.

I stayed in Manchester for a conference. The staff was very friendly and helpful; the room was spacious, comfortable and came with free wireless internet. The bathroom was clean, a little dated. The breakfast was fine. Unfortunately, the location of the hotel is at a very busy street with a lot of traffic almost all night and makes it very noisy.

Hotel was clean but the lighting was poor in the bedrooms, with light fittings falling off the walls. There was no remote for the TV but apart from that, the room was clean and comfortable.

Had a great weekend break at this hotel. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. It is perfectly positioned in the City Centre, handy for the great restaurants in Chinatown. Much better than I had expected (or feared) for the price. I wasn't after a luxury stay - just a bed to sleep in, but this was much better than basic.

from the moment we arrived at the hotel i was impressed the staff were brilliant and very helpful the room was great to. very clean and tidy i shall be returning to manchester very shortly and will definitely be staying here again. special thanks to sylvester at reception he was very helpful

Nice public areas, refurbed bathroom, actual room decor maybe a little dated. Very comfortable though. Despite the hot weather the room was nice and cool despite the lack of air conditioning. Good location, handy for all nightlife.

Room was standard, the beds were very uncomfortable, toilet seat wouldnt stay up which we found annoying and generally the bathroom felt unclean, cracked tiles on the floor etc, also the hot water for the shower only lasted a short while before freezing you! We opened the secondary glazing to get some fresh air into the room and although we had booked a non smoking room it was very clear that previous occupants had been smoking in there, ash and cigarette ends were stuffed inbetween the secondary glazing and the actual window.

I was very impressed with the hotel, even though our main focus was the football game between Oldham and Leicester and the night out in Manchester. The only thing I wasn't best pleased with was the fact we couldn't check into our room earlier, we couldn't check in until 2pm and had to be in Oldham for 3pm, so it caused some problems but the hotel did make up for it by allowing us to keep our luggage there whilst we went off to travel to the game.

Center in the city, reasonable cost, and friendly staff --- this hotel was much better than I expected from my previous stay in UK. Although the wireless LAN was a bit slow, no problem for the ordinary business use.

Really enjoyed our stay the hotel room was very spacious, everything was clean and the hotel staff was very friendly. The hotel restaurant really nice although the drinks a little expensive but overall we enjoyed our stay.

Excellent hotel, service good, rooms larger than expected, pity nearby parking is so dear.

Room was very good and comfertable but the bathroom was so cold you need double glazing in the bathroom. That said I would come again.

Although the staff were friendly, they couldn't make up for a shabby hotel. Unfortunately it got off to a bad start when I had a burger in the bar (which wasn't bad) that came with a large piece of plastic still attached to one side. In my room, the iron, television and trouser press did not work. The property itself is a beautiful period building in the centre of Manchester, still retaining the original sash windows that rattled terribly in the night (which was windy) making it very hard to sleep. The following morning my misery was confounded when my shower was cold...I explained my situation to the front desk and was not afforded any compensation. I certainly wouldn't recommend this place.

An average hotel in a good location, it's situated near China Town in the city centre, so most locations are a short walk away. Plus there's loads of restaurants in the immediate surrounding area should you wish to eat elsewhere. The room I was in was fairly large (twin double beds) and the facilites clean but not totally modern. Unfortunately the room I was in was opposite a pub/bar which was noisy until midnight. TV channels & reception were poor, although WiFi availablity and access were both excellent.

This hotel is very centrally located, minutes walk from the station, city centre, and the various restaurants and pubs. The hotel itself was clean although the main reception always smelled musty. The double room was quite spacious and especially the bathroom had both a bath and shower. Overall the decor was slightly dated but not objectionable. The only problem with this great location is that its close to all the nightclubs on Portland road and in the weekend it can be very noisy all night. The breakfast was pretty good- buffet, although healthy options were very limited. If you like unlimited fry-ups this is the place to be. Internet service was wireless and pretty good. Be warned though that the hotel guide says that you can get bottled water from the reception but when yhou ask for it you are charged £1.90 for a small bottle.

L'hotel è in fase di rinnovo ma ciò non pesa sugli ospiti. il personale è estremamente accogliente e disponibile. la stanza, ancora "vecchio stile" era di dimensioni doppie rispetto agli standard odierni con una grande vetrata. in generale da consigliare.

Excellent hôtel : bien situé dans le centre de Manchester, avec un côté un peu rétro mais bien refait. Le service est excellent et le personnel très gentil et attentionné. Les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables, avec toutes les commodités (fer et table à repasser, sèche-cheveux, plateau petit-déjeuner). La salle de bains superbe. Et pour tout ça, un prix très raisonnable. Bref, je suis très satisfait de mon séjour. Seul bémol : l'hôtel étant sur une artère importante de la ville, il y a le bruit permanent de la circulation (en particulier des autobus qui circulent jusque tard dans la nuit). Penser à se munir de bouchons anti-bruit.

Hotellet ligger virkelig centralt i Manchester, venlig og serviceminded reception, værelser af svingende kvalitet, -nogle er renoverede - bl.a. på 5. etage, men en del på 3. etage er definitivt ikke, - der er dog nymalet.... Rigtig morgenmadsbuffet, men én ting må man være forberedt på: Til "Gadesiden" er der virkelig meget støj fra trafikken - specielt fredag og lørdag aften og nat.

Veldig fint hotell med store fine rom som en sjeldent finner i Storbritannia! Servicen var og veldig god! Det som trekker ned var frokosten! Her var utvalget meget dårlig! Dra heller ut å spis!
