Hilton Edinburgh Airport - Edimburgo

Very comfortable and convenient for airport with instant transport available. Ate dinner in restaurant where food was good but waiting time for food was diabolical so much so we had waited over an hour for main course and dessert was finally served in our room.Serving staff were exceedingly apologetic-problem was in kitchen(understaffed)

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for 1 night in August 2009 because we were flying very early in the morning. Firstly I thought the price we paid was very expensive - I had priced the hotel in July by mistake and then August and it was about 3 times the price. I understand that the festival was on but really! Our room was very old fashioned there were marks on the walls and the airconditioning wasn't very good. For a 4 star hotel I was extremely dissappointed. If I have an early flight again I would stay in another hotel and get a taxi. Overall the staff were unfriendly and quite miserable to be honest. If you are thinking of staying here I would really recommend that you think of staying in another hotel and getting a taxi to the airport.

The only thing going for this hotel is it location near the airport. Otherwise it is a old tired hotel not worthy of the Hilton name. Edinburgh is an expensive town, but this was a waste of money for a dumpy hotel.

Having read some of the reviews on the Hilton, we were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Very good room, and first class restaurant, even if a little on the pricey side. Bath had not been properly cleaned, and lacked a bath plug, but otherwise room was excellent, and matress very comfortable. We'll stay there again

Overall excellent service. health club very nearby. All day swimming. 24 hr room service.excellent hospitality.

Being close to the air port and clean and well furnished were the only advantages. Disadvantages: No Free INTERNET. Could not get INTERNET to operate to purchase time. I am expert LAN/Computer user. Could not call toll free help number on room phone due to blockage (see below). PPV Movies on TV were blocked. Room phone calls to hotel operator were never answered Dial 9 to get outside line was blocked/would not dial toll free numbers.

Very good hotel with good leisure facilities especially the pool. Only two small negatives: arrived at midnight and had difficulty once checked in to find staff for service. The second is the cost of internet £3.50 for 15 mins. Most hotels would let you have it foc. Overall would defintely stay again especially if the rates are competitive.

The hotel is the worst I've stayed in for a long time. It has been poorly maintained and has a run down feel with flaking paint, broken furniture and the room had a horrible smell. I wished I had stayed at one of the other hotels close to the airport

Stayed here as it was at the airport - convienient for morning flight. Hotel was disappointing compared to previous visits - lifts out of order, vending machines out of order, stained lampshades in room, stained sofa,grubby walls, tattered furniture, stained and shabby bathroom - come on Hilton, you have a reputation to meet! Staff are excellent in a sea of drabness!!

Restaurant Very over priced! Much to expensive for food provided. Internet connection price is exorbitant.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The room was very big and the beds very comfortable. All of the staff was exceptionally friendly. There was lots to choose from for the breakfast and it was really good. It was nice to have a shuttle that was fast at picking us up from the airport and taking us back to the airport.

Room was clean, but, expensive, I would have preferred that it included breakfast. Location of hotel was good for seeing things outside of Edinburgh, bus access to Edinburgh was in front of hotel. Food was good, service and staff was very good.

Tyvärr möttes vi av en mindre serviceinriktad personal i receptionen men andra i personalen var däremot väldigt service inriktade. Ett något slitet rum (vattenskada i taket i badrummet bl a) men helt ok för att sova en natt! Frukosten var bra.

Der Gesamteindruck ist solide, Sauberkeit und Zimmerqualität ordentlich. Doch im Preis-Leistungsvergleich, etwa zu Hotels im Zntrum von Edingburgh fällt das Airport Hilton deutlich ab. Zu wünschen übrig ließ auch die Freundlichkeit des Personals an der Rezeption,

This would have been nearly OK, if the room maid would do their work properly. This is a high price for something not realy comfortable.

L'hotel est agréable, vraiement à deux pas de l'aéroprt, avec un bon équipement en chambre, à part le lit qui est vraiement petit et inconfortable. Dommage pour un hotel qui se veut de tres bon standing.

Das Hotel ist auf jeden Fall ok und zu empfehlen.

zimmer waren zwar sauber aber abgewohnt, personal an der rezeption freundlich, personal in der lobby beim cafe mehr als unfreundlich.
